Navi 21 XT to clock up to 2.4GHz

Im just suprised by the number of leaks lately. There had been so little up to now. But i guess there are cards in the channel now so noone can stop them now. It would be really interesting to go back to the leaked specs for cards currently released and see how much was true. (I'm too...

Microsoft Internal Documents - Permanent Work From Home

Oncen companies realize that work from home "works" they will start hiring further and further away. Remember when technical support centers were based in your home country? If you can work from home, so can someone else. I dont have an opinion on wfh one way or the other. But its not going...

confirmed: AMD's big Navi launch to disrupt 4K gaming

Am i the only one who cares if big navi uses the new 12 pin power plug? If amd ever wants to be viewed as an innovator, they got to adopt new ideas. Honestly I hope they use a 13 pin connector - since they are announcing near Halloween.

Starlink Public Beta About to Happen?!?!

I think Musk -as an offer of goodwill to the astronomical community- offer them a few freebie rocket launches to make up for polluting the sky. There are several space telescopes sitting in storage that were donated by the NRO. Launch them!!

Multi-Function Printer that can do 11x17 i.e. A3? Engineering needs.

I've had a cannon and hp inkjets that would sit for several months with no use and they printed fine. Always used legit cartridges (no refills or counterfeit ones from amazon) and never had any problems. But I ditched all 3 of those printers because the cost of cartridges increased...

    Please Vet This PC Build

If it were me, I would get a platinum or titanium level efficiency psu. A quality psu will last a decade, why waste all that electricity? You can get 32 gigs of ram for not much more. Games are on the verge of needing more than 16 now. (Flight sim 2020)

Should I sidegrade my system and buy 3070?

Check the settings in windows and the bios both allow you to customize the behavior of the power and reset buttons. And if this is not an oem pc, check the connection of the wires to the jumper block on the motherboard. As for the upgrade, it won't hurt to run the 3070 with your current stuff...

Multi-Function Printer that can do 11x17 i.e. A3? Engineering needs.

Make a decision yet? If your print volume is low then an ink jet would be an OK choice. Personally I have not had a problem with ink drying out on recent printers. Last model I had with that problem I bought in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Boeing 747s Use Floppy Disks to Get Critical Software Updates

Boeing 747s Use Floppy Disks to Get Critical Software Updates

Look how long it has taken for the software changes for the 737s to get tested and approved. How much longer would it take if they had to requalify the hardware too? When lives are at stake, you don't change things for the sake of change. Thats what entry-level call center IT kids do.

    [RUMOUR] RDNA 3 feature(s) baked into PS5

I am sure there is a lot of legal walls thrown up around the console designs. For example, Sony would not want MS to get its hands on sony's ideas before the console launch.(after launch its too late). So if Sony and AMD come up with a great idea while working together on the custom chip...

From Intel Earnings: Intel says accelerating 10nm product transition, 7nm product transition delayed

I think all of you guys are overlooking the most important issue: people. It takes more than a few superstars to get a new product out the door. You need good people at all levels of the organization. What has Intel done over the last 10 years, employee-wise? I dont.have any inside...

Multi-monitor setup - how to make more stable

I dont think that issue is limited to displayport connections. But thank you for following up. It's always good to hear what worked (and didn't!) Multi-monitor setup - how to make more stable

My first attempt would be to remove the daisy chained monitor and connect direct to pc. Enable your on board graphics if necessary. Even with monitors from the same manufacturer, I have seen this not work well (hp in my case). If you have the resources to play around, try an install of win7...

Linus throws some keyboards in the dishwasher

There is no real reason to use a dishwasher. Blasting it with hot soapy water for an hour is just overkill. Coffee or soft drink spills will clean up just fine with warm water from the tap. If the tops of the keys and keyboard need cleaned any household cleaner will do the trick. Once it...
