Does anyone know of anyway to send a command to the PC whenever you press a certain button on the LG remote?
What I'm trying to achieve:
1. Hold button 2 to run Emby shortcut.
2. TV run Emby and notify PC (this is the part I'm trying to figure out).
3. PC run script to pause Wallpaper Engine...
Agree. I have CX 48 and use 100% scaling (Windows 10). I've used it for a lot of website browsing (and the occasional coding), and text are definitely fine. Nothing out of the ordinary compare to my previous IPS displays.
Just saw this in the news. Finally a fix for this annoying CX "problem" when using it with a multi-monitor setup!

Tbh, I just use the default HDR ingame settings. It already looks so good to me, so I don't wanna mess with it. It's the first game that made SDR looks crap to me after seeing its HDR. Can't really go back to Ori SDR after trying out Ori HDR.
Horizon Zero Dawn, on the other hand, is kinda...
I just finished "Ori and the Will of the Wisp" (PC) in 4K HDR. Holy shit. This game is an epic masterpiece. And it really showcases an OLED TV features. Blacks are true black and colors are so vibrant and pop out. Pretty much smooth gameplay with 100 to max fps throughout the game (with RTX 3080...
For anyone here who uses the Cable Matters USB3-to-Ethernet adapter AND LG SmartShare app:
For some reason, if I connect the TV through wifi or internal ethernet, the SmartShare app sees the LG CX as a Connected Player asap, but if I connect using the USB-to-Ethernet adapter, sometimes...
You guys can join one of the tracking Discord channels (if you haven't), like ATR or StockDrops. Once the GPU goes in stock, you get a ping, then you can try to check out ASAP. I got my 5900X from Amazon and 3080 FE from Best Buy thanks to these channels. (Originally wanted the Asus 3080 TUF but...
I've played the 4K HDR movie using the USB HDD directly on PC fine with no stutters (via Plex). It only stutters with SmartShare. So it can't be the HDD. Also, I'm using 5900X + 3080, so my PC is plenty powerful. I'm still leaning toward a network lag causing the stutters. I'll find some free...
I tried LG Smart Share today. It played a 4K HDR movie connected from a USB HDD to my PC. There were a few network stutters, even though my PC is connected via LAN and my CX is connected via wireless. I thought it would have enough bandwidth, but I guess not.

I don't really need SVP...

Yes, I'm using RTX 3080 FE.
Thanks. That was it. After hours of testing with MPC-HC+madVR, MPC-BE+madVR, Kodi (HDR version), I found the issue for me. The reason I'm getting "best guesses" and "BT.709" was because of an external filter I added to MPC-HC aka "ffdshow raw video filter". I...
Thanks for the info. I do have RGB 10 bit full range in NVCP. And my Black Level is also set to Auto in the TV and Dynamic Tone Mapping OFF on both madVR and TV. It's just weird how the stat is staying "NV, 8bit, 4:2:0" under "D3D11 fullscreen windowed (10 bit)". As for the BT.709 thing, I'm not...
So apparently, the non-fullscreen video colors, brightness, and contrast are not true HDR (sometimes I get a washed out version, sometimes I get a super vivid version lol). I tested this by playing the movie directly on the TV USB port and comparing it to PC mpcHC+madVR in fullscreen and got...
I notice you have the same setup as me (though I also have SVP Pro, which I disable when watching HDR movies). Does your 4K HDR movies colors "pop" more when NOT fullscreen, but gets less intense and darker when in fullscreen? I don't mean washed out because it's not washed out for sure (I can...
Thanks again. It works.
Here is a detailed instruction for anyone wanting to remove the 4096x2160 resolutions in NVCP and ingame:
1. Download and run CRU.exe.
2. Click "Export" on the bottom to backup the default profile.
3. Select LG TV SSCR (active)* on top.
4. Under "Extension blocks"...
Pretty old message, but could you go into details on how you did this? I tried using CRU to delete that 4096x2160 resolution, but I don't see that option anywhere in CRU.
I use 50 OLED Light for both morning (with side window open) and night (not total darkness, I have some warm lights on).

I'm thinking of getting a service remote to disable ASBL; it's so annoying for web browsing and desktop productivity lol. For anyone who has ASBL disabled...
I meant the ULMB option in NVCP (the option includes Gsync, ULMB, or Fixed). But now that everyone mentions how it introduces more input lag, flicker, and lower brightness, I guess I'll stick with Gsync or Fixed for consistent 60fps capped games.
One more question:
Is the CX48's Freesync range...
Is it a good idea to run ULMB for games that are ingame capped at 60fps? I mean, if you already run the game consistently at 60fps, then Gsync isn't really used, so wouldn't ULMB be better for this case? (Or is there a downside to using ULMB at 60fps?)

Thanks. It wasn't any of those. I found out the problem. It was HWInfo being displayed on the secondary Acer monitor. Whenever it's on the screen, it causes stutters (I guess from constantly updating the display with new numbers.) I now have it still running but minimized...
I managed to snag a 3080 FE this weekend. I have it hooked to my CX48 (4k 120Hz 10bpc RGB Full) and an Acer Predator XB271HU (1440p 144Hz). I set Gsync to be on for fullscreen and windowed, limit fps to 117 in NVCP, and Vsync to be based on ingame. When I tested a game (Genshin Impact) that's...
Any changelog on fw 03.21.09 compare to previous version? I just had it popup to update today but I decided not to, since I haven't had any issue. (Though I don't have a 3080 yet, so I don't have VRR or raised gamma issues. lol)
I used the ECHOGEAR Low Profile. I had to use a few extra washers I had laying around because the screws they provided were a bit too long for the CX48. But once it's on the wall, it looks gorgeous.
Thanks everyone. Yeah, I'm just gonna use it for Discord, sticky notes, hwinfo, and other static info.

Some guy on reddit said the new fw 03.21.09 fixes the raised blacks/flickering greys on HDR/Dolby Vision and VRR raised black/flicker issues! Anyone can confirm?
I'm planning to use the LG CX 48 + 27" 144Hz IPS monitor on the same GPU (GTX 1080 atm, 3080 in the future). Does anyone know if this will reduce fps? If it does, how much in general? Thanks.
If you have an RGB strip install into the TV's USB port, it can sorta tells you. If the lights stay on after you turn off the TV, that means it's running the pixel refresher.
Hmmm..when I select 422 or 444 in NVCP, I get No Signal on the TV. You think it's a bad cable?
Also, I shutdown my laptop and TV last night and went to sleep. Today, I turn them back on and the TV input icon reverts from PC icon to HDMI icon. Is there anyway to make it remember the setting...
Hi guys, I just bought the LG CX48, and I have this thin vertical black line on the right side of the TV. It appears on all scenes and inputs. The weird thing is this happen after I did an update to 3.11.25. It wasn't there with the original version it came with (3.0 or something). Anyone has...
I'm really on the fence with this. Is this TV still worth it even with the unfixable VRR raised-gamma issue and Gsync issue (possibly fixable via firmware)? What's the general consensus?
