Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
All Windows had to do to keep me as a user was not force AI down my throat. Every week my work laptop has a new AI button and shortcut to more garbage that I will never use. At the same time I know that the telemetry has been ratcheted up, as well as the microsoft account crap. I switched to...
As long as the price is sub $800 I am going to buy it. I want an AMD card that is competent at raytracing so I can switch to Linux here in a couple of months and not feel like I cannot max settings.
I get that people hate having to troubleshoot using the CLI, but they dont think about how much better guides using cli are. I love it when I search for something and it says open terminal and paste in this command to do this thing. So much faster and easier than open this, click that, next...
FSR is fully software, DLSS is fully hardware. XeSS is the only one with both hardware and software, and the software version looks like crap just like FSR. AMD has been talking about their hardware implementation and will likely be closer the DLSS and the hardware XeSS, but it will not be...
You have to multiply to get a percentage of a percentage, dividing gives you larger value than the original. So the original math from the post checks out.
We were a Sega family growing up. Genesis, Saturn (ugh) and Dreamcast. The dreamcast was so much better hardware wise than the Playstation, and so forward looking, that if it had the game library it likely would have been okay. That wasnt the case, and the Playstation library crushed it hard...
Buyer Beware:
This is the problem I have with SSD manufacturers, you cant trust that the components are going to stay the same. The rest of the reviews are talking about how read speeds are about 6200 instead of the listed 7000+.
100 percent getting privateered. They promised free dlc and multiple expansions before the game released, and now have the nerve to ask for more pre-orders... not happening.
Just looked to confirm, all DLSS games now pull the most up to date version from the drivers instead of relying on the shipped version. No need to update manually anymore if you tend to keep your drivers up to date.
If that is the case, then any performance improvements found in the driver stack would apply to any supported GPU. Not sure how far back support goes, but this sounds like a good thing for everyone. If it works out well, maybe Intel can find an AI to write their drivers for them.
Getting back on topic, I am confused. "Nvidia is working on AI optimized drivers." Is that drivers being optimized for AI, or drivers optimized by AI? The former doesn't interest me, the latter does.
Car Mechanic Simulator (2018) and Game of Thrones the board game are free on Epic until June 30th. As an added bonus, Fall Guys is free as well for some undetermined amount of time.
This is a good price for this case, but I wish you had the option to upgrade to a gen 4 riser, and that there was room for a bigger radiator for the CPU. As it is, you can't put a high end cpu or gpu in this case without throttling. Thanks for the post.
I was about 5 feet from the stage when Kyle smashed the console. The crowd went nuts when he pulled out the hammer to beat that thing with. Sadly after the show I returned to my spot in the byod to find my crappy video card had been stolen out of the machine while it was still running.
Mass Effect Andromeda devs are pulled to work on Anthem. MEA crashes, burns, and support gets dropped. Anthem releases, crashes, burns, support gets dropped. Bioware needs to just stop. As much as I like their IPs, they have not put out a good game in 10 years. (ME2) Now they are scrambing for a...
I may be back here in a few weeks eating crow, but to this point CDPR has earned my trust that they will put out a good product worthy of pre-orders and day one purchases.
I don't like this trend of rereleasing old games with slightly upgraded textures, and charging new game price. They pulled away people from actually making new games, to rehash this crap for the quick money grab. Don't reward this behavior please...
Go play GTA5 and tell me it loads in seconds, 60 seconds maybe. I dont know of any games that will use that many cores, but maybe I am wrong. Look at some of the ps5 loading time comparisons, I dont think this will be a bad thing for anyone.
id be interested in an objective comparison between this, dolby atmos, and windows sonic. Currently I use Massdrops pc37x headphones plugged into an astro a50 mixamp for surround and EQ, but I would be interested in getting rid of the mixamp if I could get good surround without it.
My company has a 9 node ScaleMP system that is now sitting there unused after acquiring a true HPC system. The biggest problem with ScaleMP, is that if one of the blades crashed, the whole system would die. This lack of stability was one of the top reasons to pursue a traditional HPC. That said...
I came back from lunch, and now in stock said there was a MSI VII available from Amazon, so I took the plunge. I am betting on drivers coming out in the near future that will shore up some of the obvious issues. Funny enough, it was the game bundles that some people dont care for, that tipped...
