The meta was the second go around with the beta testers. Long story short..if you were actually beta testing and bug reporting you got into the "meta" . It was their way of weeding out the folk who just weren't up to the task and keeping the ones who were taking it seriously.

I had the same problem once. I had installed a 9700 pro after i pulled my old 4200. Thought it was heat. I tried to play around the settings ..drivers..etc. The problem ended up fixing itself after a format. I would try that if i were you.
