Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Glad you took some time out of blocking traffic to respond here. Wii being easier to pirate than Switch 1 doest’t mean it was the most pirated. This logical fallacy applies to virtually your entire rebuttal. Or maybe it’s your own home brewed version of mental gymnastics.
You keep responding to people saying it makes no sense. Seems everyone is understanding each other and you’re the odd one out. That’s a pretty gigantic clue, you’re the problem. I’ve run into your type many times. Complaining about corporations making money. Mad at people for having disposable...
kinda like the 2 or 3 people who defend being dishonest crooks, get offended because they recognize themselves as dishonest crooks, and erect a long winded post shaming others for paying for goods and services. You probably call riots, peaceful protests too.
You’ll be broke for the rest of your...
It's aggressive... if you want to try and get away with it but want a 2nd chance if you get caught.
I also think the claim of being banned for using the name "Twink Link" is dubious. More to the story IMO
I figured out how to lower LED intensity. Instead of inputting 255 across the board for RGB, i have it set to 100 across the board. Still gives me white light just not as bright. Light intensity is now more uniform with all the other white LED's in the case and i'm hovering around 43C instead of 50C

So here it is. I sped up the video shortly after clicking "apply" DRAM temp went from 37 to 47 after 5 minutes. Got up to and settled in at 50 while I was editing the video.
These are the brightest RGB DIMMs ive ever owned and I don’t see an option to turn down brightness on them like I do on my board and GPU.
I’ll try to get a video posted today showing the temps rising after turning them on.
I’ve only played Doom Dark Ages which seemed to perform well and a couple 3D mark benchmarks which put me right where I should be for my hardware. It was mostly if not entirely, COD causing me grief, but it’s the game I play most so it was kinda a big deal.
No, clean install with 24h2 right...
It was left alone, until just now. I've never messed with it until now to try and fix the issue. I only know of it's existence through troubleshooting my issues for the last week or so.
I'm cautiously optimistic the issue has been resolved. As of now, it seems all my problems, both performance and stability was due to the thread renderer count in the COD config file. Setting it to 8 from 16 has, as of this post, resolved my COD performance and stability issues with this new...
Another update
I disabled CCD1 and just kept CCD0 (vcache ccd) enabled, essentially mimicking a 9800x3d. I also went into my COD config file and set the thread renderer count to 8 (it was at 16) played for about and hour with no crashing and smooth gameplay. Next i'll re-enable both CCD's but...
ok, a little update
Still at a loss on the performance/stability issues.
I tried each RAM stick individually but COD would still have moments where it would hang for 2+ seconds. Sometimes it would recover, other times not. I also tried running CL32 instead of 30 to no avail. So my sticks do...
MCLK and UCLK both at 3000 with FCLK at 2000 is what I have and what the board set everything to by enabling EXPO. It's entirely possible I have a bad stick though. Troubleshooting that next. Is DDR5 supposed to run hot? Both sticks were almost too hot to handle when I pulled one out.
I think this new rig as more going on than initially thought. COD locks up randomly with or without process lasso. it does it with PBO enabled, or disabled. Half the time it recovers from the lockup half the time it does not.
I know it's not a defective CPU since this is the 2nd one. I know my...
BO6 mostly. It’s silky smooth when I use process lasso and disable game mode in windows. If I let it do its thing sometimes it’s smooth sometimes it’s not.
And interestingly enough. I had no microstutter with the 5900x
Dont know.
Got the latest win 11 build. Clean install
Latest chipset drivers
Just not working well for me. I do run several applications simultaneously. It’s not just the game.
This hybrid approach is still a hot mess. I don’t know how bad it was with the 7950x3d but even with the touted improvements it’s not nearly as seamless as balanced mode and CPPC set to driver with game bar installed. I ran some tests doing it that way, then tried disabling game mode and using...
Alrighty, so I got my RMA replacement and..... same issues
COD randomly locking up and when it wasn't, i had inconsistent framerates.... so now the real troubleshooting needed to start.
Ran several 3DMark benchmarks, with sound enabled just incase it had something to do with the onboard audio...
I only used it to monitor load and frequencies after I noticed the strange behavior. BIOS is reset awaiting RMA replacement.
Back to my trusty 5900x for now. Sure glad I went with an all new case and SSD. Didn’t feel like ripping out my 1200w PSU and 4090 from the new case so I recalled my...
Well after some further testing, it seems i may have a defective 9950x3d. I only did some very preliminary 3dmark tests when I said "performance seems good" but after running some games, something was defiantly off. Peak framerates were barely higher than my 5900x and smoothness was...
I bit the bullet and finally upgraded (still need to update sig) and wondering if I should enable PBO? I have EXPO enabled, performance seems good, stability seems good. I’m happy with temps, even while gaming or running cinebemch multi thread loop, fans are pretty quiet. If I’m leaving a ton of...
Later this evening, pending delivery of the rest of my components I’ll begin my 9950x3d build using a MSI MPG B850 Edge TI WiFi Motherboard.
What are some best practice BIOS settings for optimal performance? I’m not really interested in overclocking beyond EXPO and PBO
I’ve only seen this happen if you actually make bios changes with RM. if only used as a fancy looking monitoring app, a simple uninstall should suffice.
Could also be the board. In my 3+ decades of PC building I’ve only had one CPU failure. When not over clocked they’re probably the single most reliable component
“That price though” is precisely why it likely won’t have better resale. It may sell for a higher dollar amount but it will also lose a larger percentage of its value.
Latency issues are actually worse on Zen 5 than on Zen 3 and 4. Truthfully I can’t tell you if I’m bothered by it. When I do upgrade i may be blown away and not realized what I was missing, as was the case when I first went from 60hz to 144hz
9950x3d is the only CPU I’d consider. The couple...
Depends on your definition of adequate. Right now I’m playing COD and Doom DA for the most part. Im getting 80-100 fps in doom and well over 100 in COD. Is it saturating my GPU? No, but it seems adequate.
As far as what devs are targeting, if that was my bar, this thread wouldn’t exist. I’m...
I hear you on upgrades. Normally it would be a no brainer for me except for a couple things
I’m not exactly starved for performance even though I know I’ll see an uptick. More importantly though is GPU upgrade path. If the high end GPU market doesn’t improve, it makes ore sense to buy a...
Upgrade itch is hitting me after seeing the 9950x3d perform better than expected and experience fewer issues related to core parking/dual CCD's than it's predecessors. I keep adding it to cart and letting it linger until it goes OOS, then i'm like "man, I should've ordered it" couple weeks later...
With so many publishers having their own launchers, I purchase very little from steam these days even if it’s available in steam since you often still need to have the publishers launcher installed and running even if not purchased there.
Went even lower end. Lowest end hardware I have that's actually assembled
R7 2700 @ 4GHz
RX 6700XT
1080p display
Ran high preset with FSR quality
While it managed around 60 fps, the frame times were not good and felt like constant micro stutter. Image quality was also kinda crappy.
Was getting between 44-60 fps during the main battle sequence at the end of chapter 1. 3440x1440 DLSS quality, high preset. CPU was marginally more limiting than GPU at these settings but it was pretty well balanced for the most part.
