Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
There is some data on lars about the 5000 series cards. https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/brands/nvidia/
I've rented a few. 5080 was a bit slower than 4090. 5090 is quite a bit higher ppd than the 4090, but cost to rent doesn't make it cost effective.
I was finally able to rent a 5080 and 5090 today. Here's a 4090 in Windows and 5080, 5090 in Linux working in the same project.
The 5090 has been 38-45mil ppd 12294, 12295 and 59mil on 16525. 5080 has been 25-30mil ppd on 12294, 12295.
In my limited testing, the 5080 is very similar to a...
It is 100% on them. You've been using that username since before 2004. If it worked for 2 decades, it was never a valid policy on restricting the use of certain characters.
There are passkeys and fah accounts. The accounts are new in the v8 client. Passkeys have been around for a LONG time as you know. That mod must have been talking about the v8 account.
I found you on the fah stats... https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/id/7252
However, I can't find info on your pass key for that username when looking up qrb status. The last wu looks like it was completed on Jan 1 and got the bonus (https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu). However, EOC shows...
The reboot was to make sure the fah-client was using the passkey and it wasn't hung up on the original settings without a passkey. You'll need to complete a few WUs after the reboot before I would expect the bonus page to show any info.
You definitely are not getting the bonus right now as can...
Yea, 1_rick and the passkey. Since you aren't seeing results, I'd restart that computer, check the passkey settings in the v8.4 client again and then start folding. Hopefully a restart will fix the issue.
Check that passkey here and see if you have results: https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus
If you don't see any results on that page, then the units aren't being credited to the passkey and aren't getting the quick return bonus. If that's the case, I'd suggest restarting fah or your computer...
Yes, you can have more than one GPU folding on a single motherboard. Each GPU will get its own work unit to process.
A few years ago, I had three 3080TI's folding on a single board. PCIe 4.0 x8 and x16 appeared to be the same performance. I saw a 10-15% PPD reduction when running the third...
I'm not seeing any results for you using a passkey. You can check your passkey status and its bonus eligibility here. When I search for 1_rick, it does not come back with any results: https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus
Did you create a passkey here...
You may need to go into the appearance settings (person icon at the top right of the page) and reset the settings to display the text:
The stats that you see *may* only show stats for the passkey you've entered. Once you've submitted more WUs using the passkey, hopefully you'll see some stats...
The api that we are using to do the "realtime" stats looks like it is only returning the first 1000 users. For [H] that means you'll show up once you hit a little over 5 million points. As pututu said, the official stats for the competition are based on the EOC team stats and those will...
I'm not sure that it matters right now. My preference is set to Alzheimer's, but I haven't seen any units with that cause recently.
I've been receiving either cancer or unspecified units. Both have some projects with high PPD and some with low.
v8.4.9 is the most recent FAH version (as of earlier this week). If you are upgrading, you may want to update to 8.4--it has many enhancements including tracking recent work unit history.
Over the last few days, I've had WUs using cores 0x22, 0x23, 0x24 and 0x26 and haven't seen any issues...
I found windows tools and bios files about a year ago when I was planning to relive the 4p supermicro days. I haven't used the files yet, but they are available here: https://filebin.net/4daknn302jixk1zj. The link expires in 6 days.
I can likely update our stats to support multiple teams for next year. We can discuss after the event and see what we can come up with for next year as far as automated/"live" stat tracking.
ExtremeHW INDIVIDUAL RESULT UPDATE
I'll try to periodically post the individual results from ExtremeHW. Our live team stats for the comp are at: https://ehwfoldingstats.lazypenguin.com/

This vulnerability was fixed on Sept 22, 2020. The last release was October 20, 2020. So, it is unlikely that this is an issue with the current version.
You'll be safe for a bit longer. I had rented a fair amount of cloud GPUs to fend off the mowing from BWG during the contest. I *barely* avoided the mowing. I plan to fold for [H] for a bit longer before migrating back to my current team. Perhaps I'll stick around long enough to give you a...
