Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm passing the raw drive through. I made a .vmdk link followed in the instructions: https://gist.github.com/Hengjie/1520114890bebe8f805d337af4b3a064
I can remove the hard drives and plug them into a machine running Windows, and everything works fine on the windows box.
So I don't know what I haven't tried yet. So the problem is I upgraded my motherboard from an X8SIL to an X9SCM and from ESXi 6.5 to 6.7. Everything was working fine in my X8SIL 6.5, but now since I have upgraded to the X9SCM any of the drives that are over 2 tb it will read them, but some of...
The switch doesn't have a console port, or telnet connectivity. But in the web gui there is a place to donwload "Support Files" files:
General Information
VLAN&MAC Information
Port Statistics Information
LACP&LLDP Information
So heres the VLAN&MAC Information file:
System...
I thought this was where you tell the switch which ports will accept the VLAN id's. Because I have 3 access points but those access points are going to be sharing devices on both VLAN id's 1 and 2.
I cant remeber which actual ports that the access points are on, so i just checked all of them for VLAN id2 which will be for the 4 devices, and vland id 1 for for the general internet use.
Heres a pic of the ProCurve 1800. the pic shows what iv checked on vlan id 2, but its the same i have...
I kinda asked this question over in the pfsense boards, but haven't got a reply yet. And now I'm wondering if its even possible.
Im trying to set up VLANs, actually only 2 VLANs, but not per port, but actually per device. Actually only 4 devices (Wireless Laptops) on one VLAN, and the rest...
Not sure if this is affecting all Time Warner markets. But im in the Northeast Division (Maine) and Just got a letter from Time Warner saying By October 19th I will need a Digital Adapter in order to receive my channels. The adapters will be free till Jan of 2014, then they will start charging...
Oh its in-force now, the actual date for company's that allow self-installs normally was August 9th, and for company's that dont its November. And if the company's aren't following the rules the fcc has set up a "file a complaint" site...Which I have read some people have used and got results.
Its on the Supermicro site, as far as I know they only sell two versions of the D525, and two versions of the D510 Model numbers either X7SPA or the X7SPE, Difference between the two being one isnt exactly mini-ITX
Links to the Supermicor site with all there specs:
X7SPA-HF-D525
X7SPA-HF...
I actually dont have that case, I have the 503-200B which almost looks the same except it has the ports in the front. But I read somewhere when I was doing research before buying mine, and looking at it, that if you had a 3.5 Hard Drive, or the dual 2x2.5 adaptor that you could fit a half height...
Its not a typo, the Supermicro Atoms D510 all take DDR2, while there D525 take DDR3. Newegg doesnt sell the D525 Version of this board for some reason. I had to buy mine off fleabay, New of course.
But Newegg does sell the X7SPE-HF-D525 board. Difference being its a little bit longer, so...

Although not cheep. But a very good case, I bought one when they were $130. Has Built in Clock, and IR receiver, only slight problem I have with it, is that there's a slight lag between pressing buttons, and on-screen actions...
How much are all these truck rolls costing, I thought I read somewhere Time Warner was charging $50 per truck roll. I ordered mine last week, but I think im gonna wait till August 1st when its mandatory to offer self-installs...and I got a feeling even then its going to be like pulling teeth to...
Doesnt look like it will, because of the sound outputs and hdmi. And on an earlier post you asked if you used a dremel would it work, id say yes. I did see on reviewer on newegg with another supermicro 1u case do that, and they had said it worked fine, I would assume it would do fine in this...
Actually it looks like its one seller that selling them for cheap. Other then him, the next cheapest one is $90-100. Looks like he is changing them out and started out with 130 of them, and just wants to get rid of them no mater the price.
Thanks for pointing them out though, made an offer...
Sorry for the delayed reply. Thats what I was kinda assuming was the mobo, but one question lingering in my mind is why would another graphics card work perfectly. And the graphics work on the mobo till i try enabling aero look, but on the geforce, wont work at all. Also what live cd would you...
ok, so I have a problem with my slimline s3020n that I cant find being discussed in this thread...atleast skimming over it
**Long Version of Story**
(Sorry ahead of time, for the long post, I try to be as detailed as I can.)
The other day I went ahead and installed the sp1 upgrade on my...
The forums are still there, but its a nightmare to navigate, and an ugly interface to top it off. And by looking at the other posts on the site, and other forums, theres not to many others that are happy with it ether. I have a feeling another site like TGB may be popping up soon. Its too bad...
Another thing you might want to look at is that, and pretty much all supermicro server cases don't not come with a replaceable I/O back panel, its built into the frame. There cases are only made to fit supermicro motherboards. So if you do end up getting this case you will need to do some extra...
Finally got my Atom board in the Supermicro X7SPA-HF-D525 and put it in a CSE-503-200B it has the front loaded I/O ports, and played around with it, left it for a bit. Came back and checked the temp, and it was hovering around 78-79c degrees:eek: and thats not doing anything but sitting next to...
I bought an HP Procurve a bit ago off fleabay, and the seller was offering a 3yr warranty with it. Does the Lifetime transfer? Or in order to get the Lifetime, do you have to purchase it from an official outlet?
I use port forwarding for my xbox, and my server (rdp and torrenting), and my desktop for realvnc.
On the web filter, can that go by groups, or does it have to be a whole subnet?
When I initially set up the current filtering I had thought about putting them on different subnets, but I have...
I dont really have needs per-se I have a network with about 20 devices ranging from phones, to a kindle, to computers. I have static dhcp and pretty much disable automatic dhcp from outsiders unless there MAC addy in in there because we have 4 kids who like to give out out wireless password to...
Ok, so I have a new Supermicro X7SPA-HF-D525 Mobo 4GB ram comming in and am wondering what firewall software I should put on it. This is for home use. Currently im running DD-WRT on an Asus 520GU, so anything is a step up. I have played with both, though Untangle only for about 20 or so mins on...
Server Home Built:
Supermicro X8SIL-F (IPMI = a Must for me. My previous server an Intel SS4200E Storage would freeze about once a week, and the only way to reset it was to manualy go downstairs and unplug it)
4GB Crucial DDR3 (2x2GB) (Carful thou the Supermicro boards a sometimes picky about...
Im not sure how the MiFi works, but back a few years ago I had a Verizon 3g usb wireless card, and I just used Internet connection sharing on a XP PC that I knew was always on, and linked it the the uplink port of my dd-wrt router. And then had the router deal with dhcp and everything else, and...
I have dd-wrt on my 520gu and it doesn't support throttling per connection, iv read on there forums though the paid version does, or you can run a script to throttle. Im not sure what tomato offers as i have never used it, but might want to look into that too.
If you wanted to discreetly...
But if password protected sharing is turned off, that should by pass user login.
sram: you could also try checking the shared permissions to see if the "everyone" group has access to it, if your not really concerned on who accesses it.
We have time warner up here too, with the same modem and I have noticed that I can get multiple public ip's when changing my mac addy in my router, so I do believe time warner does handout multiple public ip's. The ip's do stay the same per each mac address.
the model is 42PFL5704D/F7 bought at http://www.walmart.com/ip/Philips-42-42PFL5704D-F7/11089876
But im not really concerned with the 120hz, I cant really tell a difference between the two sets(60hz) set up in stores. I just want a nice looking picture.
