Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Just make sure that the USG has the features avaialble that you want. It is not as full featured currently as the ER series at least if you are going through the controller. There is more available if you go through the CLI but then you can sometimes run into issues on reboot
work from home doing tech support and having to connect to multiple client machines at once. Currently have 4 monitors going now of which 3 are 4k and want another two or three. Can almost never have enough screen re-estate
There is a thread over on techreports forum about this. Here is the recs from there

I am in need of a new mousepad and am considering picking up a glass one. The perixx DX4000B from Amazon. Has anyone used this one before as I can't seem to find any reviews of it? Also what are people's opinions in general of glass mousepads? Alternatively will be looking at the corsair...
Since the AP lites don't use standard Poe power but ubnts passive 24v Poe you are probably best to use a ubiquity switch if you don't want to use any injectors
HP has announced their Z turbo quad pro which allows for 4 M2 pcie drives to be used in one x16 slot and sell has something similar. Who knows if it will work with non hp/dell machines but at least this sort of thing is starting to come out
Also supermicro has add in cards which allow for two...
You could also look at the Mellanox Connect-X 2 cards, you can get the EN 10gb version on ebay for around 35-50$ each. This is what i have been using in my machines the last year or two.
was just able to pick up an Intel lga1150 matx server board on ebay with an offer of 90$+15$ for the IPMI module. It will do ECC with some celeron, pentium, i3 and xeon E3 V3 cpus
Model number for the board is BBS1200V3RPL
As long as it is less than 3 servers the cost is not too bad. Also if you can find a deal like I did on ebay for a used switch with 10g modules it really is not bad at all
This would be happening most likely as they are both set to run on port 80. You would have to change one of them to run on a different port or else get a different external ip for each machine so that hey each resolve to their own address as right now you most likely have only a single external...
FYI if you have not already go and take a look at the server the home forums they have a large number of people playing around with the C6100 over there and a ton of info on them.
the catch i found with 10gbe fiber is finding the optical sfp+ at a decent price. I ended up buying two additional cards that i dont need just to get a deal on the sfp's. I know for the mellanox ones they were running 50-100 each
Your other option for 10gbe on the cheap would be the mellanox conectx cards. Was able to pick up some of the dual port sfp+ ones for fairly cheap this weekend
I dont mind console at all and have played around a bit on router and switch CLIs in the past.
I have a rack full of equipment to play around with at home though there is less now then there used to be. For this kind of stuff i am more set it up and leave it unless there is an issue rather...
So i was looking at putting together a machine to run PFsense but then saw the edgemax routers.
Would be looking at having two networks running one for my personal machines and one with a more public wifi AP on it i would be sharing between myself and the other tenants in the house.
Any...
resets dont change the network settings. From everything i have seen you would need to hook up via serial cable to change the IP address unless you can figure out what the IP without login onto the unit
is the status light solid or flashing? If it is solid green then you need to change it via serial cable. If not you can change it using an ARP command. That is what i had to do when i got my used one. I was lucky that it did not have an IP already assigned
Raid controler will not be needed at this point since i would be running the original version of WHS not Vail. I would be using drive extender. Just looking to drop my hydro bill a bit since i am going to start to be charged for it now where before i was not.
Wondering if anyone has tried WHS with one of the zacate boards yet and if you had any issues? Looking at getting one of them and swaping out the core2duo that i am running for WHS right now.
Thanks
