Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm having a hard time taking the game seriously when Blizzard insists on having a 20 tick rate. Heck, people are mad at valve for running competetive cs:go at 64.
Interesting how most people here on [H] seem overwhelmingly against piracy. Maybe there is a connection to be made to average user age.
Piracy can't be stopped without great invasion of privacy. Sure, you can monitor public torrents, but it ends there.
One solution would be DRM, which sadly...
Sure, people won't want to play competetive games like TF2, BF4 or CS:GO; but I can easily see myself playing a single player game like Crysis with the Rift.
Pretty much just had time to create my character and log in.
One-shotted two critters in the starting area which brought me to level 4. Wat?
First impressions:
Ugly UI
Few, genderlocked classes to choose from
Really bad sound effect quality (sounds like old 64kbps mp3s)
60 fps cap...
Well, that sucks. It seems I have the annual subscription, just that I'm paying monthly. I didn't realize I was signing up for a year when I registered.
I never before subscribed to an online service that couldn't be canceled at any time.
Also, the prize seems to be higher in sweden. My...
As an amateur photographer, I feel the photography bundle is a decent deal.
I don't want to shell out 240$ a year for Premiere though (I don't use it enough), which puts me in an odd spot where I need to pirate it.. might as well pirate it all.
Is it really that far off?
The windows telemetry and all the similar things the giants have started pushing in recent years is no doubt bringing us closer to the world of 1984.
As Tiberian said, these things are getting more and more intrusive. And noone can be arsed to fight it. Heck, not...
I run 165hz with g-sync. Disregarding blur, at the desktop 165hz is a lot smoother than 120hz.
However, if I can keep 120+fps in a game, ULMB is to prefer either way, so yeah, it's pretty useless.
Are you sure it's 'garbage'? It was somewhat hard to extract from the review, but I got the impression they meant it was an improvement, however very slight.
Of course, it doesn't matter when using ULMB. It would be interesting to know why it's stuck at 120hz.
Generally, the shop handles warranty services here in sweden. And they try very hard to keep their customers.
I doubt you'll have the same luck talking directly to ASUS.
Struck a deal to trade up to this baby when sending the PG278Q in for RMA.
Haven't noticed any faults as of yet, and the IPS screen is a bit easier on the eyes than the TN.
A big difference I'd say is the coating is a good bit closer to glossy.
Same here, waiting for SLI being ironed out for VR..
I just might keep it on my desk anyway, if I can get it in a stylish color scheme like the Unit 00 one shown earlier :)
Yeah, I did a clean install of the drivers.
All games I've run this far are getting problems. Graphical glitches in Street Fighter. Freeze lags in Dota 2. Complete freezes or bluescreens in GTA V.
I get the impression the card 'reboots' or something. Or something goes wrong and it tries to...
Just want to point out that this is something that differs greatly depending on where you live. I live by the coast in sweden, and 80% is probably pretty close to our average constant humidity. Today looks to be a rainy day and we will be at >90% for the next 24 hours at least.
Seeing as he mentions the goal being to 'make a universe, not a game' i'm not surprised the size ends up being at least double that of todays biggest games.
