High Ranked Overwatch Player Cheats On Stream, Gets Banned Mid-Match

I'm having a hard time taking the game seriously when Blizzard insists on having a 20 tick rate. Heck, people are mad at valve for running competetive cs:go at 64.

I fail to see how he is any more responsible than the people behind other indexing search engines that link to this 'illegal' data.

Does ‘Piracy’ Make Copyright Infringers Sound Cool?

Interesting how most people here on [H] seem overwhelmingly against piracy. Maybe there is a connection to be made to average user age. Piracy can't be stopped without great invasion of privacy. Sure, you can monitor public torrents, but it ends there. One solution would be DRM, which sadly...

Apple Ends Support for QuickTime for Windows; New Vulnerabilities Announced

Deprecated as it may seem, Adobe is still balls deep in QuickTime. Not kidding; I require QuickTime to keep Premiere from blue-screening my laptop.

Oculus Founder Defends $600 Price Tag

Sure, people won't want to play competetive games like TF2, BF4 or CS:GO; but I can easily see myself playing a single player game like Crysis with the Rift.

    Black Desert Online

Pretty much just had time to create my character and log in. One-shotted two critters in the starting area which brought me to level 4. Wat? First impressions: Ugly UI Few, genderlocked classes to choose from Really bad sound effect quality (sounds like old 64kbps mp3s) 60 fps cap...

I don't know about that.. I have been on 120hz since 2011. :P Capping at 60fps today is just silly. Forcing a cap at all is silly.

    Is Undertale really goty?

It's cheap, short, funny, and easy enough for a lot of people to finish; accessibility is why it's popular. Also, the soundtrack is awesome.

Adobe Sees Record Revenue After Switch To Cloud Subscriptions

Well, that sucks. It seems I have the annual subscription, just that I'm paying monthly. I didn't realize I was signing up for a year when I registered. I never before subscribed to an online service that couldn't be canceled at any time. Also, the prize seems to be higher in sweden. My...

Adobe Sees Record Revenue After Switch To Cloud Subscriptions

As an amateur photographer, I feel the photography bundle is a decent deal. I don't want to shell out 240$ a year for Premiere though (I don't use it enough), which puts me in an odd spot where I need to pirate it.. might as well pirate it all.

Review: New Windows 10 version still can't beat Windows 7

Is it really that far off? The windows telemetry and all the similar things the giants have started pushing in recent years is no doubt bringing us closer to the world of 1984. As Tiberian said, these things are getting more and more intrusive. And noone can be arsed to fight it. Heck, not...

    ASUS PG279Q 144hz 1440P IPS G-Sync

I run 165hz with g-sync. Disregarding blur, at the desktop 165hz is a lot smoother than 120hz. However, if I can keep 120+fps in a game, ULMB is to prefer either way, so yeah, it's pretty useless.

    ASUS PG279Q 144hz 1440P IPS G-Sync

Are you sure it's 'garbage'? It was somewhat hard to extract from the review, but I got the impression they meant it was an improvement, however very slight. Of course, it doesn't matter when using ULMB. It would be interesting to know why it's stuck at 120hz.

    ASUS PG279Q 144hz 1440P IPS G-Sync

Struck a deal to trade up to this baby when sending the PG278Q in for RMA. Haven't noticed any faults as of yet, and the IPS screen is a bit easier on the eyes than the TN. A big difference I'd say is the coating is a good bit closer to glossy.

The next NCASE project: a Steam Machine-style case (indeterminate)

Just want to point out that this is something that differs greatly depending on where you live. I live by the coast in sweden, and 80% is probably pretty close to our average constant humidity. Today looks to be a rainy day and we will be at >90% for the next 24 hours at least.
