Those rumors are a bit funny. Is there anyone who can believe this kind of "bullshits" ? GTX 280 can't be faster more than 50% than 9800 GX2. It would be great if it will be 20-30% faster.
Hi.
I'm running HX520W with 9800GX2. I can confirm the "tight fit" with 2+6 connector, but I was able to fit one of them without altering anything.

Hello.
I'm going to buy in march new motherboard for Intel Penryn Quad CPU. My choice has come to these models:
1. Abit IX38 QuadGT
2. Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6
3. Asus Maximus Formula
I can't decide which one to choose, please help. My short priority list:
- best stability and quality (the...
Unfortunately, like almost all LCD with newest Samsung PVA panels, Hyundai W241D has quite noticable inverse ghosting :(
Here is the short video I've made:
http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=WdJ7wpq8eP4
The shots for 1280x1024 resolution were taken during 95 seconds period, for 1920x1200 - 78 seconds.
It looks like the observed 15-16ms increments (47ms ~ 3 * 15/16ms and 32ms ~ 2 * 15/16ms) is connected with the refresh rate of LCD and CRT. Both were 60 Hz, so 15/16 ms is one frame. Input lag...
Hello,
I've finally bought W241D. I was waiting for Samsung 245T, but reports about severe inverse ghosting made me to bought the cheapest PVA 24'' LCD with HDMI and component input. First tests that I've done are input lag (just before I'm throwing away my old 17'' Sony CRT ;)).
Setup:
I...
I can't believe 245T is another crap, and an expensive one :( I was waiting for this monitor and wanted to buy it.
What about overscan ? Does 245T overscan HDMI / Component signal ?
What a pity there is no overdrive turn off option as with Gateway FHD2400.
Regards
Wow. W241D is now available in Poland under Hyundai brand for only about $80 more than W240D. Now I don't know is it worth to wait for Samsun 245T, which will probably be 2 times more expensive
@mit
I don't know much about VW, it's ugly ;) and is still unavailable in my country. I'm not interested in it. There where some post at [H]forum about VM. As far as I remember it's the same as WZ.
@anarchoi
I'm sure about 244T. I was going to buy it 1 year ago. But incorrect displaying of...
@anarchoi
Forget 244T, it display everything with incorrect aspect ratio (16:10 instead of 16:9). Wait for 245T or look at 275T.
I'm also very worried about those problems with FP241W / WZ and I waiting the last time for firmware update.
Regards
LG L245WP-BN is now everywhere in Poland. The price is the same as BenQ FP241W - quite surprising. I'm not sure whether it's S-IPS, mostly because of the price. But when there is detail info at shop, there is S-IPS written as the panel for L245WP-BN.
Regards
I'm shocked again with FP241WZ. Looks like BFI is useless. I just hope they will fix this 1:1 pixel mapping and I'll buy FP241W.
Does anyone know if it's true what behardware.com has written, that also FP241W is using PVA like FP241WZ ? I was sure it uses MVA
Regards
Hello,
Here is the first review of L245WP:
http://pclab.pl/art23330-1.html
Unfortunately it's in polish ;). If I found time later I'll translate some parts for you (if you want). What I noticed is most important:
- confirmed that only HDMI port (no DVI)
- you get only d-sub cable (no HDMI...
This can be a winner :) Faroudja DCDi, PIP with Component, 1:1 mode - now BenQ FP241W/WZ is like mistake ;)
It's highly probable that 1080p input through DVI will work, because 1200p works (1920x1200). It won't work if Gateway does something special to reject 1080p - it would be stupid.
Even...
I'm exactly with the same problem or even worse. So much waiting and huge dissapointment. I don't hope FP241WZ will have proper scaling - manual for this LCD is allready at benq site and clearly state no 1:1 or any other mapping, full stretching.
So now I'm waiting for NEC 24WMGX2 or LG L245WP...
Unfortunatelly Heinz68 I know exactly what am I talking about. From all your previous post I can only conclude that you don't know how digital world works (TV, PC video card output). First read something about what going on when you feed HDMI signal to Plasma or LCD TV, read again some posts...
FP241W was targeted to be multi-purpose device, also as a TV (eg connecting HDTV through HDMI). Why? Because HDMI input with FP241W is behaving like HDMI input on every LCD TV - overscanning (DangerIsGo has observed this effect). What this means? If you have graphics card that have HDMI output...
Of course it's as simple as kornkob described. There is nothing more simple than 1:1 mapping. You don't believe this, then why 1 year old BenQ FP231W has this 1:1 mapping. Answer, because there is nothing easier than not stretching. Why BenQ removed this from all its new LCD is unknown and we...
Of course I was going to buy BenQ FP241WZ. I've been waiting more than 8 months now. The lack of 1:1 scaling just make me angry.
I'm not english native speaker, so I asked how to name those company, because "low-quality" is not quite properly.
Definatelly BenQ FP241W (like Acer 24'') is great...
It doesn't mention about 1:1 scaling, but actually it says that everything will be stretch to 1920x1200 !!!!!!!!!!!
"The best possible picture for your FP241WZ is achieved with a resolution of 1920 x 1200. This is called Native Resolution or maximal resolution that is, the clearest...
I don't know every monitor, but it looks like lately more and more 24'' LCD have missing ratio control. Maybe because they are introduced by "low-quality" company like BenQ, Acer (can we name them differently?).
The boom for 24'' LCD start with 2405FPW. AFAIK this one have working pixel...
It's not limited to PC only use, but to PC with only NVIDIA graphics card if you want to play games (e.g. 1600x1200 with some games and ATI will mean awfull stretching) or PC for only office use (word, excel, etc.). Quite limitted usage.
Yes, the slightly distorted image won't be noticable. Hmm... I should rather say it would have not be noticable with CRT, but this is LCD and you 1080p singal will lost all of it's sharpness by imperfect interpolation to 1200. It will look worse than 720p, almost like 540p.
Of course it wasn't serious about giving them a lessons. But it is not speculation. DangerIsGo tests have shown everything, this monitor is stretching to 1920x1200 and nothing will change that.
Regards
Thank you DangerIsGo for your time.
A huge disappointment !!! It's another monitor with useless analog inputs. What a shame for you BenQ. The biggest advertisment hype, Full HD 1080p support, what a joke  The same 1080p support is with 244T and 2407FPW. I've been waiting so long for...
That's not true. For Vista any monitor with HDCP and at least 1920x1080 resolution will have "Full HD" support. BenQ advertise this monitor as Full HD 1080p support, which means it accept 1080p signal input from diffrent devices, not only computer graphics. From benq site: "the FP241W features...
This is what manufacturers are trying to fool us :( It's much simplier to do 1:1 mapping than streching 1080p signal to 1200. For stretching you need some powerfull signal processor, which cost a bit. So why they are purposefully streching image and increasing costs ? Because they want you to...
I don't think it's official. At tftcentral we've got only the detailed summary of features. Noone confirmed that there is incorrect scaling. I still have hope that at least analog input (maybe HDMI) will have correct aspect ratio, look here at chenesse review - HDTV with BenQ FP241. There are...
From these Chinese reviews it looks like non-PC input has proper aspect ratio (e.g. XBOX 1080i has black bars at the bottom and the top). I hope it's right, otherwise its another 24'' with useless inputs other than DVI.
I'm impatiently wating for BenQ FP241WZ. I've thought FP241W would have BFI feature, but it would not :( Probably it would be another few months of wating :o
I've skipped 2405 because of lack of HDCP and some minor issues. 2407 is a big mistake in my opionion. I've almost bought 244T, but...
New BenQ 24'' LCD with Full HD support has been released:
http://www.benq.com/press/News.cfm?id=1343&cat=0
http://www.benq.com/products/LCD/?product=812
Estimated price $900.
There is lots of confusing information at benq.com: once it's 800:1 contrast ratio, the other 1000:1, the same...
Noone helped. FYI I've found out it myself and it's true that Samsung 244T doesn't display 16:9 input format and stretches it to 16:10. I can't belive this. It's so expensive and miss features that are found on much cheaper devices. Definately I'm not buying it. But what's the alternative to...
