Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Funny thing I also have G.Skill Ripjaws 4 rated at 3000, I got it to run by bumping it up to 1.40v but now it won't even at that.
Guess it's time to RMA.
I think sometimes when you buy from a third part vendor there could be issues with warranty but again that also depends on if you buy from a reputable vendor or not.
I recently built a new x99 rig and went with a 5930k, MSI x99A M-Power motherboard. For the ram I decided on G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 F4-3000C15Q-16GRR.
The memory is supposed to run at ddr4 3000 with 1.35v using the XMP profile. However when I give it 1.35 my system is not stable and usually hangs...
I believe you can use a program like Speedfan to control the fans and set them to 100%. See if that helps 3d mark score. Also check the Nvidia control panel to see if that is set to High Performance.
Was the laptop connected to the A/C adapter when you ran 3d mark and did you set the profile for High Performance?
Out of that it could be your clock speed is getting throttled due to temps
I think one of the reasons behind low storage space is that Google would like you to use cloud storage, that's one of the reason the Nexus phones don't have SD slots.

I recently received mine two days ago. Haven't really used it much, so can't really say much about the battery life.
The screen is gorgeous, I think its pretty light and would work fine in a college setting. Haven't tried playing any games on it so can't say much about the Intel graphics.
