My Strix 2080 Ti arrived today along with my Intel I9 9900K and ASRock Taichi z390 Ultimate MB. Just got finished installing them all and just in time for the long holiday weekend.
I woke up at 345am on Nov. 1 and just happened to check Nowinstock and it showed this card in stock at Newegg. I bought one and it will be here in a few days but when I checked Nowinstock after I made the purchase it was no longer in stock. I don't know how many Newegg had but it couldn't have...
I was facing the same decision on both of my machines at home a few weeks ago. Finally, the biggest deciding factor for me was that I do a LOT of video encoding on both machines and even though the 6700K is fantastic for a quad core at doing encoding as well as gaming, it can't make up for 6...
Its fine if you don't believe me or anyone else that has a 980 Ti that clocks above 1500MHz. I'd make a video but I'm simply too lazy to go through the trouble. I don't need to prove anything to you and I have no reason to lie about it either since I'm perfectly ok with it if you don't believe...
If I'm lucky then I got lucky twice, because both of my MSI 980 Ti 6G's exceed 1440-1450 quite easily and will maintain those frequencies. One of mine is slightly better than the other but the worst of the two still maintains 1482MHz under load.
Mine doesn't exceed 70c about 95% of the time even in the most demanding games, honest truth. I do run a custom fan profile but they never exceed 85-90%.
Ahh ok, I didn't get the joke then but I don't have any temp issues with them. I keep the house nice and cool at 72F anyway. I haven't had a heat issue with a video card since I got rid of the AMD 7950's I had a few years ago, those would actually heat up the room noticeably.
Stock BIOS, I play at 2560x1600 on a Dell 3011 30". Yes, way.
The one that runs at 1515 will throttle down to 1502 in very intense games but it will fluctuate back between 1515 and 1502, I can live with that.
I have two 6G's, one does 1486MHz, the other does 1515MHz, both 100% stable in all games and apps. Witcher 3 is a tough test and will usually expose a poor overclock pretty quickly, so will Assetto Corsa and Project Cars.
I've got two MSI 980 Ti 6G's, both have no coil whine at all. I have a Seasonic X1050 power supply also.
I would also like to point out I have no cooling issues with either of my cards either using a custom fan profile, even with the fans running at 80%, they're super quiet and temps never...
Not saying that the Zotac Extreme isn't a great card, I'm sure it is, but its only the fastest STOCK clocked card available. Overclocking varies and every card is different.
I have a MSI 980 Ti Gaming 6G that's 100% stable in any game or application at 1520MHz core and 8200MHz memory and runs...
And again...just your opinion.
I found it to be very fun. Doesn't really matter how many opinions say this or that. Everyone should judge it themselves or they might be missing out on something special. If all games followed the same cookie cutter formula for popularity and success, gaming...
I just finished it a few hours ago and this game was awesome. For all of the critics, I would say this game is like a very enjoyable action movie, sure it's not going to win any major awards and go down in history as a classic but it can still be a very enjoyable experience that had you glued to...
Choose one of three games, Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 or The Crew.
$40 for the code through Paypal. My eBay account name is blkout2k1 if you have any concerns about my credibility. If I don't get back to you right away today, its because I'm at work and can't post on this site from...
I have two overclocked 980's but SLI doesn't work on either of those games currently that I'm aware of. Performance is very good on both games, rendered at 2880x1620 and downscaled to 1920x1080 resolution. Alien Isolation runs at 60fps rock solid, I have to lock Ryse at 30fps at that resolution...
When AMD can't win on performance, they resort to becoming the value leader as usual. Nothing new there. There are people willing to pay ridiculous prices for having the top card though so performance per dollar doesn't matter to everyone. Just saying.
Sure they did, but at a huge expense. The 780 owners will get just as much mileage out of their cards for a LOT less money. It just worked out that way.
I think its a fair assumption that 95% of Titan owners didn't buy them for compute or professional applications. They bough them for gaming because it was the fastest card available at that time. It just so happened to be grossly overpriced compared to any other card before it. The Titan era has...
I have three 780's and I just ordered three 980's and I'm not bitter. Titan owners were the one's that got screwed when the 780 was released. Since then, its been fair game.
Should be pretty exciting for a Titan owner, almost 20% faster, draws considerably less power and about half the cost of a Titan. That's a huge win. Its not quite as exciting for 780 and 780 Ti owners due to them not overpaying nearly as much as Titan owners did, that much I'll give you.
Ordered three vanilla 980's today. Two for SLI in one of my PC's and one for my HTPC. Even though they won't be a huge upgrade over three 780's, I like the power savings and reduced heat output. I'm sure there will be faster versions of this card coming in the next few months, probably even a...
I'm confused. What do you mean by this statement? You know the TX wheel can be used on all PC racing games and sims as well as the Xbox One? I use my TX wheel about 80% of the time on the PC and 20% on the Xbox One. It is not interchangeable among consoles but very few wheels are.
I'm fully aware of what I linked and I also posted in that thread as a TX owner, if you had read it all. I also explained why I think some of them died early-on and why I think some of those reviews might not have been legit. Either way, I haven't seen any recent problems with people that have...
The wheel base is very good, the pedals and wheel rim are just ok. This isn't the best place to ask advice for such things, you would be better served going to an actual racing sim forum where people actually use wheels and pedals.
I'm disappointed that anyone would even give you advice...
You are aware that there are no LED display TV's? They are LCD's with an LED backlight. I see people say LED TV all the time and in the home theater community it makes you appear ignorant. I'm not saying you are, just saying how it looks. Its mostly because makers of LED backlit TV's pushed the...
And I'm completely against your opinion, the 61" and 67" Samsung DLP's were some of the best TV's ever made from a picture quality standpoint. The only TV's that were better were equal or better were Pioneer Kuro plasmas and Panasonic VT series plasmas. Only the very elite LCD's today in the...
