I turn blur off always .. fov 90. Never get motion sickness.. idk.. VR didn’t bug me either.. like 1 second then my head calibrated. Skyrim VR was the most prone to induce motion sickness. For sure.
I find the movement to be very good... I can swing around 180 and throw a spell very easily.. almost a flick shot.. TG I am only 1440p UW now... it's running on all ULTRA with RT at medium pretty well outdoors... indoors smooth as butter.... I am greatly enjoying roaming the woods and hitting...
A few screenshots of my modded Oblivion from 2008 or something ...
EDIT: added a couple more..
I wonder how they will hold up to the UE5 version... I know the UE5 vegetation will look way better.. but some of these stone textures are pretty good still.
You never know.. it could appeal to a younger audience.. like kids just getting into gaming and RPGs.. probably much younger .. but I think this is mainly for fans of the original getting to see it modernized… and I never joined the thieves guild and went that route.. so was thinking that might...
Gotta pick on my post, huh?
I installed and played it about six months ago and added visual mods .. it wasn’t that bad .. but idk. I guess we will see.. or we won’t. We still have no idea it this will drop like we’re talking about.
Like remastering a CD or movie on dvd / blu-ray.. It’s gonna be the same 20yo game with a fresh coat of paint… maybe some quality of life improvements.. And I’m still gonna play it.
Ah ok.. Thanks for the info.. I have plenty of other games for now... and I am just getting into TOW now.. so this should wet my appetite of the followup installment.
The Outer Worlds is super... having a lot of fun with it.. I did a little recon on reddit about starting attributes and people were recommending setting intelligence to below average because it unlocks the best dialog in the game.. So I went strength perception and charm.. and below avg int...
The Outer Worlds... so far I like it.. For one thing, I love hunting down hidden stuff in the world. and oh so buttery smooth on this 240hz display. I feel like I will be pivoting between this and Atomfall until Oblivion Remastered comes out.
South of Midnight while visually striking and an...
The Outer Worlds is on game pass rn and planning on playing it.. it seems like a game I would like.. sorta new vegas but in space I guess... and nv is my favorite fallout so should be fun and this is decent timing.. Is it still June 8th release date?
"Xbox Support Accidentally Leaks Oblivion Remaster Release Date Coming to Game Pass Day One, April 21st"
Next week I will be lost in Cyrodiil, once again.
South of Midnight.. wow so far a nice visual auditory experience..
KickAssCop lmao.. I hear you.. I am playing most of those same games and am a bit overwhelmed atm too... just playing a different one each night rn.. unless I get completely hooked on one.
I have a G14 (Ryzen 9, 32G, 4070) and like it a lot. The screen is a 3k 120hz OLED and looks great, kb is easy to type on, generally seems like a very well built laptop. Oh and the speakers on these G series laptops are fantastic.
Wow. Corsair has a ton of refurb deals... was just window shopping a little and thought I would post the URL here.

Wow... not hearing a ton of love for this display... I mean, a real mixed bag... that's a LOT of pixels to push for gaming.. I love my 4090 / 45GR95QE combo right now... since I use it for gaming only the lower ppi in windows doesn't bug me too much. If it were my primary work display I would...
np.. I figured someone would find this helpful.. in this time of crazy video card pricing and availability.. bang for the buck this is super hard to beat this.
Warm? One gen back but it's still a nice 24G card...

Yeah with the whole situation, prices, scarcity, and now tariffs... and I am running UW now... Just gonna wait this out with my 4090... my 2080ti lasted me almost 5 years... I am coming up on two now with the 4090. Should be an interesting wait.
Wag - yeah the 5090 might end up being the true...
Ah thanks for the heads up … so just sort of a visual demo. Still very cool though. Yeah I hope episode 1 and 2 get the RTX treatment too.. I’d definitely play those again.
I def thing the AMD X3D cpus have a leg up on intel equivalents for gaming rn.. if I were building a new system I would get a 9800X3D minimum.. but probably a 9950X3D though.
Atomfall. I almost gave up on it a time or two, but the more I get into it the better it gets. Movement is great, weapons are good.. game is gorgeous. Story is ... weird but kinda pulls you in. Molotov cocktails are pretty effective and fun. ;)
Two games we would play in the office after hours back in the very late 90s which were fun were Quake 2 Lithium Mod and Rise of the Triad... always had fun with those!
the previous gen was melting the cables ... and they heaped load on like nothing was wrong lol, have tons of headroom.. yeah it's a big bummer to have to redesign the whole power delivery system mid cycle.. but the 4090 was the warning call.. lol. the 5090 is kinda the new fx 5800 ultra. It's...
I still have my Painkiller gold boxed! ... PK is cool.. talk about hoards of baddies... so many waves... felt like doom 1/2 but with way bigger environments and with WAY more baddies.. in a good way. New one does look a lot like Doom 2016 / Eternal. Looks fun though..
yeah it was around for a bit.. I still have three HD DVD players, two of which are actively used for music and movies... and a collection of about 50 HD DVDs...
Betamax is another gem of failed tech... although superior to VHS in most ways (smaller tapes, all digital, superior image and audio...
