Upgraded to a 13700k and Asus z790 Prime-P last summer and outside of Baldurs Gate 3 having occasional crashes in Act 2 it's been a pretty solid system. I never even bothered updating Bios or anything. I guess I'll start paying more attention next month when this update rolls out.

The 7900XTX did hit an Amazon sale a couple weeks ago for $799. It sat there at that price for hours and Im glad it went off sale, almost bit a few times that day. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. If I can find a regular 4080 at $900 Im not thinking about it and clicking the buy button.

I really don't upgrade GPUs often, usually skip a couple generations so I was thinking more long term. If I did upgrade my 3070 this generation it would be for 4k gaming with ray tracing, dlss etc but mainly I'm really needing that 3070 in another system.

I went from an 8600k 16gb ram to a 13700k with 32gb ddr5 and the difference in that alone was quite large when paired with just a 3070FE. I'm kind of eyeballing a 4070ti Super or 4080FE but we'll see.

I'm going 4070ti Super or possibly 4080 Super depending on price and benchmarks. I'm currently on a 3070FE and quite happy at 1440p but would like to possibly break into 4k gaming at some point next year. If I'm not happy with what I see I'll wait for 5 series.

buy BG3 and get Gamepass for Starfield, that's exactly what I did. With Bethesda track record if I had to choose between the 2 I would BG3 any day over Starfield. I'm new to D&D and BG but have had an absolute blast in BG3, absolutely amazing game and very well polished.

yup, just built a 13700k machine and used that one. My temps at stock in r23 ran at a max of 92° with a CLC280. I tinkered with XTU just a little yesterday, set offset to -.060 and it maxed at 82°. I still need to learn doing this stuff in bios to make it permanent.

I don't mind teamplay and PTFOing but is it cumbersome like Squad or even worse Arma? Squad isn't awful but can be infuriating at times. When there's action it's great but I almost fall asleep playing it.

The quests that started there led me to my 2nd Ark. I think I spent a couple hours there, just hit 42 and now I'm at some tournament thing somewhere else.
