AMD certainly is along for the ride with nVidia's launch -- Lisa Su tends not to follow, but lead, and learn from what many sources including watching people post or comments -- Just a guess, but, AMD will have a stronger launch with a little less drama (perhaps do a little better upfront with...
What's everyone's thoughts on bit mining... will new nvidia cards come in with their next big shipment into a market of highly marketed up cards, I mean for awhile this morning on nvidia's own page newegg and amazon had several 3080 cards listed $1,500.00. If 3080 trends there that would be at...
It's certainly been awhile since we had stock at launch -- Though AMD has done pretty well with CPU's overall at or near launch.
nViidia's own website, 3080's (some) are $1,500.00 each now from newegg, amazon, etc...
If RTX 3090 and 3070 kicks off the same with cards in-stock, but only on ebay (and like) for crazy amounts -- and some how AMD not only launches, but, has launch day stock ready of a somewhat competitive line of cards -- it will be advantage AMD. It will not surprise me if the rumors hold true...
I agree... nVidia appears to have brought the heat and a little value -- Fingers crossed that AMD at least has 3080 like product though personally I'd love to see AMD product at or top 3090.
Jensen quickly talked over little bit about that -- 3090 is $1399 (AIB) with $100 premium for founders ($1499) with all other models MSRP being same for founders and AIB. I'm wondering if that MSRP will hold? Will founders sell out really fast and all AIB then bump up prices?
There seems to be increase in the pace of leaks now (accurate or not) -- As guessing goes -- the models (naming and vram) could look like this (what about pricing, where does everyone think pricing is going this time around?):
Titan 3090 with 24GB (perfect way to put a number to Titan series)...
What board did you go with in the end? MSI Z490 Unify, I've built 2 (10900K) of these now which supported gskill 8 MB sticks of 4133 MHz for total 32 MB Ram -- So far I've not seen any T-Topology boards with Z490 Chipset (which is preferred with filling all 4 dimm slots).
Last few gens I've gone with founders cards and will continue with that trend -- a few months into having the new cards I tend to upgrade them with AIO or some sort EKWB.
Sold Radeon 7, GTX 1080, and Vega 64 -- Once there is a bit more firm date for nVidia cards will sell Titan X and RTX 2080 -- Still running Titan RTX and RTX 2080 Ti which will move over into couple slower systems once the new cards arrive.
Hoping too see nVidia cards sooner than Sept...
Amazon has already been opening the doors up to AMD:

Maybe in years past it was as much (or more) not about AMD and them being unable to keep up to Intel as much as it was about Intel making (or taking that) next gen leap so much so they really didn't have a (working) viable product in none of their 3 (or more) engineering teams (for future...

Steam Survey, it pops at least every couple of months, and sometimes monthly (which is fair given often systems I'm working with change) - I always say yes. My guess if someone asks Steam how they pull account names for Surveys they will tell.

I agree, though there is also a market (by no means the main stream volume) that buys Titan RTX and Ti's for gaming with whatever the top Frame Rate delivering CPU there is on the market paired with high frame rate Monitors - Its a (slowly) growing market where we are seeing...
It feels as though there's a selective choice of words (from AMD) on big Navi... At a time when we are seeing many new monitors (including IPS) at 240Hz and even higher - so what about 240Hz (and better) gaming at 1080P and 1440P? Is AMD really stating they are focused on a Gaming card centered...
In terms of performance, the Navi 21 GPU is said to be at least twice as fast as the Navi 10 GPU. The Radeon RX 5700 XT is the best case for the Navi 10 GPU and it comes close to the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, so the Navi 21 GPU could exceed the RTX 2080 SUPER's performance and even end up coming...

No matter the rant, for the moment, Intel is still holding their own for gaming (HEDT too for that matter in Gaming/Streaming) - What's complicated about building a system with Intel? X299 as same with Z390 is still the same Chipset (nothing suddenly became more complicated) - Actually...

Intel appears to have but given up (at the moment) - I'm impressed with my i9-10920x - just letting the x299 Apex Board do all the work it holds 4.8GHz all core with ease - games (bundled with Titan RTX, Intel 905P SSD, X550-T1 NIC, and AE-9 sound) are very solid high frame rates (on...
I did get my retail unit i9-10920x from Newegg - however I’ve not seen a single other person get/have one. There’s much room to do even a paper launch much better in the world of Intel.
That could be so - maybe updated part number - or perhaps one of the parts they are moving over to Samsung to manufacturer? Strange to me how Intel is having such a hard time keeping up at a time when AMD has taken over a big chunk of sales - you'd think if anything Intel would have an...

Normally if I have few cards, I email them and they will work with you - While as pointed out, its not always a better price than private sale may bring, however, they provide the shipping label for you, even the box if you wish, and once they get the card, its fast payment and you never need...
NE pulled it this morning... noticed few other (very small) etail have now done the same. I haven't built the system that will have it (10920x) just yet - it will be interesting seeing it up and running (clocks and such) now.
Intel just released (11-25-19) the new 10 series i9's including the i9-10920x - The Intel product page is gone, its no longer listed on Intel's Core X page - the Newegg listing I bought from shows may not be restocked. Has anyone heard anything on if some (or all) of the i9-10 series being...
I sell mine to sellgpu unless its a friend - its the other way around for me (my opinion) in that times in the past you bump into buyers who get your card, overclock the crap out it, buddy tells them don't buy it - and they want a return or try charge-back (with my job, often end up with many...
...and ALi - We had VIA, SiS, nForce, ALi - There may not be good profits in chipsets, none the less Intel was always at work to make solid new gen chipsets - to which lead them to many years of having solid products vs 3rd party/class product.
Old post but interesting topic with 165Hz and even 240Hz (coming this fall) 1440P (including IPS) monitors - In First Person Shooters, how is the target size affected - 27" 1080P vs 27" 1440P how are the targets (aiming at) scaled?
I guess this plays into the comments that Intel looks to best compete by dropping prices having deep pockets and a strong 14nm lineup (refreshes to come it looks like too).
"Intel seems to have dropped all plans for a 10nm desktop processor launch and are now aiming to release 7nm desktop...

On 9900k system with Titan RTX - I left everything at default other than 100% res scaling, and turned off all motion blurs - also turned off min. rates (after changing them to 300 each, menu and in-game) - During TDM matches the lowest I remember seeing was 191FPS when call in streaks -...

Field of view 90 and render scale 100% - was able to hold right around 240fps (on 240Hz monitor) which in realism mode was easily possible - I do same thing, all sync's off - and used AK47 most of time, mp5 some of the time.
Late today in realism mode they changed few things like...
Do you guys think its AMD holding back to see what Intel launches... perhaps sets the ground work for pricing of next Threadrippers along with gives AMD a bit longer to firm things up to get the max performance out of 3950X?
Lisa Su in my opinion plays a better game than all past AMD leaders -...
