I would not judge the 2060 on BFx, simply because it's Dx12 is not optimized one bit, no matter the HW, runs worse.
Yeh, 6GB is on low side but I can play with a GTX970 with med-high settings, and its smooth for most part. (60fps flat line).
Right, with BFx I think it is a combination of issues, for one I don't think DICE ever really implemented Dx12 engine, it seems more of a patch type, quick an dirty.
But that is the thing with all Dx12 stuff, it takes time to do all the under the hood low-level stuff that could have been used to...
The review is good but I kind of disagree with your conclusion, the main problem is BFv Dx12 is the same as BF1 which was not up to par, so it is bringing down RT. That is not a Nvidia issue but a DICE one,
Dx12 should run at least up to Dx11 level.
So the way I see it the RT should of run...
A new version of CorePrio has been released for the high core count ThreadRipper 2990wx and 2970wx, now has small footprint GUI with coreprio service for dynamic local mode.
Also has an auto-updater for latest versions (it gets updated regularly )...
Nice review on Noctua HS's , Though I don't really care about TR.
Kyle have you heard anything about new Noctua HS , they showed a U12s that was as good as there U14S at some show at least 6months ago.
This is after they released TR parts.
Not into AIO so was looking at either U12S or U14S for...
Man, you guys have gone off the deep end :)
Serious here some info before NDA lift on it.

As you can read there seem to be two modes, test, and scan. Test you manually alter...
So at first, I thought you left out a pic of side panel vents for optional rad/fans but I went to there site and there are no vents on right back side.
not sure how mounting anything on the side would work then.
Anyway, not a bad case from looks of it.
I have this problem to in seeing the enemy's the dynamic lighting range is high and its hard to see them, especially in the shadows.
I raised the brightness to 65% but that can have issues in the bright area's so need to find a sweet spot.
I read somewhere DICE is adjusting this for release...
If you have or have played BF1, it will feel similar.
It does look better and weapons gameplay is different (weapons damage), I guess you could say it feels like an expansion of BF1 but in WWII with new maps and weapons.
There is definitely a difference in gameplay but it would not take you long...
Ok, that makes sense, I play with Vsync off and my display is only 60hz so that is why I cap it just above.
PS: Here is one performance review, also some DX11 vers Dx12 in there.
https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/battlefield-v-open-beta-pc-graphics-performance-benchmark-review,4.html
What CPU are you running?
What I do is set a cap to like 65-70 depending on the game. I think I have BF1 on 70 and BFV on 65, I do this to keep it smooth as CPU% has a lot to smooth play.
Setting wise I run a mix of med and high.
If I was to remove cap my 3570k would sometimes go to 95-100% and...
I don't know on switching but DX12 is bad for either AMD or Nvidia, yeh AMD Dx11 is bad so it might improve a bit for them but all tests I have seen say frame times are bad even on AMD HW.
So my point was if big AAA Dev team like Dice have trouble putting in the time to make it good, that says...
No way you can run 4k@60 on 390 but getting back to reality, there is one big issue and this is not only a BFx problem but all the new tech that will come out will be part of DX12.
This game and seems many others show how much work needs to be done to get smoother gameplay than what DX11.
So...
The demo runs good, smooth like BF1, I get about the same performance as BF1.
I really like the changes, I didn't like older BF1, BF4 were you need to empty a whole magazine to kill someone.
The pace is slower than older versions, which is good IMO.
There were issues the first day with...
Yup, the movie reminded me of some game Dev movie :), the lighting was so dim and quick shots but yeh I re watched they were more work than a 80% kit.
It might of been CNC, not sure but doesn't really mater once you get to that level.
I would rather do it all on manual machines, as long as your...
This whole 3d printed gun "ghost" is blown way out IMO.
Hell you can get 80% (AR15 lowers, Glocks, Sig's, 1911 etc) and make your own with some minor jigs, it will cost you some but a lot less than a 3d printer and you'll have a real working gun that won't blow up after a few rounds.
When running on current FF there is already an extension called "auto tab discard" which really pauses/suspends a tab after X min (you set amount), so when it paused when you click on it, it refreshes tab.
I think it does same as Chrome one is doing.
One question on this software, can you run this w/o software running in background?
I would imagine the fans can be run off CPU fan header but not sure on pump and how that would work, speed wise.
I don't even run LG mouse software but that have onboard memory so not needed.
I am really surprised how well the 212evo worked on Ryzen 7 CPU, I myself have been using it for many yrs on a 3570k@4.5, it can handle OC as long as you keep the voltage below 1.25v (I can run 4.5@1.22v) which runs 70c in 80Fdeg summer days.
Kyle do you happen to have any Corsair ML fans, I...
CM needs to make changes on anything bigger than 4 heat pipes, that is the sweet spot for direct contact heat pipes but when you get bigger, more heat pipes you need a cold plate to spread heat with also some mass.
You just have to look at NH-U14S TR HS with a large cold plate and it matches...
Looks good, on the other block, from that pic IMO it wouldn't take much to make it flat as its problem is mainly on very edge, it "looks" to be like 0.005-0.007 range, but I could be wrong.
I do agree water blocks are more mainstream now and there many options so just get a good one.
Kyle, great work on vids, they are a plus and always check them out even if I "think" I know what it's about.
Q: With TR are the active dies and inactive dies always positioned same place in the package?
I think this has been answered before, but I forget now.
I still have opinion of not cooling for things like vid and MB as with all the glass there no way to have airflow from side panels and even front with only 1/2" seems limited to me (I think you need like 1" to not impede airflow of front fans).
These cases do look good, I just feel airflow is...
Right, It would be interesting to down clock first memory so BW is same and then do core clock to match Fury.
This way we could see what affects it most, considering the clocks increased 40% with Rx vega 56.
SvenBent My comments I think were misunderstood, I have not looked or compared your app to PL. My comment were towards huge memory/resource footprint.
I was trying to explain w/o getting OT into PL is very flexible in its settings, you don't have to run all its features (there not even turned...
your comments are so biased its not funny.
To address some of them, bloated software, you can set PL to only run the governor back-ground process, not the GUI when operating.
Its totally adjustable as to refresh rates on gov and GUI and all CPU core adjustments (per process and total cpu% are...
So with these basic AIO, the fans just connect to a fan header on MB and then you can alter speed ramp there or is there software?
I know you mention speed switch on fan itself but tweaking fan profile is not mentioned, or i missed it.
hold on, i7-7700x does 4200 on all cores and 4500 on one ?
So if Intel is right on 11% if no change to IPC then 4500 x 1.11 (11%) would be clock rate of 4.995 and there doing it at 4.7.
So it would end up the 11% increase is a 5% IPC gain.
IF you tested without freesync/Gsync the 20% increase on ti would be noticeable, but testing with freesync and Gsync I think to the eye it will not be "so" noticeable.
We will have to wait an see if that is right I guess :)
I use IrfranView as my default image viewer, it can also do basic text, cropping and painting.
For more advanced options (photo work) I use Rawtherapee and gimp
I am curious, is there a "mesh" frequency adjustment, I looked at manual online and saw ring bus, but not sure that is same. This would supposedly improve performance on the new high core count Intel chips with X299.
Just wondering if that is right and if you messed with it the outcome.
PS: I...
While cheap gas prices might put a little damper on hybrids, full/all electric is still long ways away IMO.
Not only we don't have a standard for charging stations or infustruction for electric stations, they will be a secondary vehicle as they still have no way to do long trips.
I think bigger...
This product should of been released 6-8 months ago, not now.
Its so late compared to other cards and Volta now is not that far off (by time the vega gaming card is out).
