I would contact usasupport@silverstonetek.com and tell them what happened. I think they really need to hear from a few people how cheap the cables were placed on the power/reset PCB. Nothing against Silverstone which I have owned many of their cases/PSU's in the past, but some things are really...
I called Silverstone support and they are sending me out another power switch. For those that are going with this case, just be very careful with the wires in that area on the panel.
WiSK, are they pretty good about getting back to customers in a reasonable amount of time? I have to say that the product managers from Silverstone that visit here and OCN have really disappeared big time, unlike Corsair, if you have an issue with their products you can get in touch with their...
I'm bummed out now, the power led connector tore off so easily on the front panel its not even funny. I think its the power wires because when I put the 2 ends together it powers up my system.
@Tony Ou
Tony, is there anyway that you can please help that I can get Silverstone to...
I went ahead and ordered the EVGA 980 FTW this afternoon from Newegg as they finally processed my 970 RMA. This whole return was nothing but a hassle for how long it took them to approve it to the point that they had the card for 3 days before even beginning the refund process even after I...
I'm to a point that do most of you even know what your talking about anymore? The 780 Ti as an example has sold in the $399-$415 range used as of today. That's a pretty good value considering how old the card is. The 660 or 670 are a bad example considering we had 700 series cards and on to 900...
Newegg is really playing a game with their customers and not being honest about any kind of return/exchange. I reported this to them last Friday for an RMA based on what we have found out with the 970, been speaking with one of their managers since Monday. He first promised me that Wednesday...
So he replied to my email telling me that he has been very busy and will call me when he has a minute. Their internal team still has no decision on how they are going to handle this. So what a crock of BS at this point. I think I'm just going to ebay this card and then buy something else off of...
Hopefully I can have an update for you guys today. I called their customer service an hour ago and the manager I was dealing with is on break so I gave them my cell again so hoping to hear back soon.
I have an ITX build so going with an AMD card has me a little apprehensive due to heat...
The manager I have been speaking with since Monday says that they are going to have some resolution. I wouldn't think it would be taking this long. There are a lot of people that are still happy with the 970 as is at 3.5GB from reading around many forums that they will not be returning...
Still waiting on Newegg, I don't get what is taking them so long to decide if they will open the floodgates here on a return or exchange considering that people called them way before I did last Friday.
Impressed that you got that 850 G2 in there. We have a club at OCN if you would like to join, http://www.overclock.net/t/1452338/cooler-master-elite-m-itx-case-owners-club/0_40
If you are going to keep this system as is for the next 5-8 yrs, whats your plan for a videocard since that GTX250...
I agree with this statement, everyone needs to call Newegg, Amazon, etc. whichever retailer they purchased their 970 from if they are looking for a refund. The problem here is that if Nvidia gets away with this, we will get more of this kind of misrepresentation of specs in the future.
Over...
Yup and the manager also told me that they might even offer people a credit or gift card of "X" amount so people can keep their cards as an option, they obviously don't want those returns so if they can give people something to keep them it benefits them. I just want a return or exchange because...
I agree, I told the manager that Amazon is accepting returns on the 970 no questions asked. If they want to keep peoples business that they really need to do the right thing here. They can get credit from Nvidia on the returns for sure so what if a few 1000 come back. I don't think there is that...
I just got off the phone with a manager at Newegg and he said that they should have resolution by mid-week if not sooner as to how they are going to handle this situation with the customers that bought a 970. He said that they have had this happen with other products in the past and are going to...
I currently have the Silverstone Strider Gold 550W PSU, will it work fine with this card if I am not doing any extreme OC?
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=351
That is a Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition. I am hoping to get a pair of Noctuas to replace that SP120 and add an additional fan, but I need to do some cutting to the top of the case for that second 120mm with my new Dremel I just bought this past week.
Here are the components of my setup:
Case...
My SX600-G came in yesterday and I have been running it now since last night and I do not hear the PSU so far considering the noise that people say they are hearing from it. I sit about 8-9 feet from my system and even when I was up close to it didn't hear anything. I will OC my 770 tonight to...
Mine should be delivered today from Amazon. Depending on the noise I'll decide if I'm going to keep it and move my setup back to the SG08 or stick with the Air 240. Having some issues with panels on Air 240 which Corsair is trying to correct.
Yeah, I bet until they build up their inventory. I am just amazed that Silverstone was able to squeeze 600W in such a small PSU. The 450W Gold was a great advancement and would of hoped maybe they would of gone with a 92mm fan instead of the 80mm.
This is kind of crazy, found this review of the AXP-100 bracket on the cap and who knows if anything even happened to this reviewers system during testing.
http://www.overclockers.ru/lab/53310_3/Obzor_i_testirovanie_processornogo_kulera_Thermalright_AXP-100.html
I worry about even placing electrical tape on top of the cap because the cap on that side is taller than the rest around the CPU socket, so it lifts that side up a little bit.
I can place washers to the standoffs, but then wouldn't the second heat sink bracket and heat sink be slightly higher...
If I rotate the bracket the other way, it still touches the cap and then since its long ways it hits the bottom RAM slot and then the one screw hole for the second bracket is then sitting on the North bridge.
I hate to resurrect an old thread, but how did those that were able to get the AXP-100 on this board to fit?
I decided to place the AXP-100 on the ASRock Z77E-I. I get all the pillars on the mobo, then I try to place the first mounting bracket on the mobo and I run into a problem. The first...
