AMD issues guidelines to retailers to prevent Radeon RX 6000 scalping

Yes! I absolutely hate those challenge ones. I am not stupid (not real smart either, but not dumb) I still fail on a lot of these. Yes the scalpers are the worst people on earth today after murders and the rapists They make money but the scalper makes more then they do.

    Chieftec Dragon clone ...

Yes I remember those Soyo monitors well I don't think they were a quality item as I remember hearing about a lot of power supply related problems with those back then. I bought the Black + Decker RTX Rotary Tool back then for case modding I have the 7 (or 8 don't remember) speed one the new ones...

    Chieftec Dragon clone ...

I know I miss the good ol' days But being zapped by the inverters output hurts don't ask me how I know that! (also left a burn mark on me too). LEDs are good for RGB and indicator use but for general lighting purpose no way in hell I would give up my good classic lights.

    Chieftec Dragon clone ...

I found a picture of the U-shaped CCFL I had in the front panel of my Antec version of these cases back in the day. Mine was a blue one as I was big into blue back then. I love bright colors.

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

Yes I agree 100% with SamirD's statement above. I think the EU is right this time but other times they need to get lost. Why ban lamps for LED junk that claims to last 25 years (how do they know that? as LED's for general lightning purposes have not even been around for 25 years) the other...

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

Yes there is a lot of scam sites out there. I was looking for a service manual for my RCA (Panasonic made) S-VHS VCR (remember those! ;)) anyway there is a lot of sites that claim to have it for free (a lot leading to Google Docs page shame on you for allowing this Google). There are also a lot...

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

Yes I was wondering where all of my data was actually going I am glad I found out it was not someone in China or other Country stealing my personal information to sell on the "black web" not like I have any actual personal data or stuff to hide but still a relief to know where it went.

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

I use DD-WRT because I like the interface better then the Netgear "Genie" Stock firmware also the Netgear's interface is very slow navigation and applying settings. I also found the culprit my Galaxy S9+ got an update the other day from AT&T and it asked me to sign back into my Samsung account...

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

I don't have any p2p programs running at least since October 12th. I was too busy downloading *cough* *linux* distros. That is the problem I don't know what device is sending it out. I am using an older version by kong before He stopped doing DD-WRT the new ones were not stable for my router...

Alarming amount of outbound data on my DD-WRT WAN page

I have a Netgear R7500v2 flashed with DD-WRT firmware and the past coupple of days there has been a very high amount of outbound (uploaded) data. I have not connected any new devices to my network or gave anyone my WiFi password nor do I see any devices I don't recognize on my network. I also...

Can a Windows 10 Pro key be transferred to different hardware?

I got a new Asus F512DA-EB51 cheap yesterday VIA Amazon Prime day. My current Asus S500CA-US71T has a Windows 10 Pro key attached to the hardware (I bought that key on eBay for $8) so not a big loss but I am cheap. What I remember doing in this in the past with my same Microsoft account and one...

What ya using your 1x slots for?

Neat I did not know those even existed. I do know about the Compact Flash to E-IDE as those are commonly used to replace the spinning disks on older computers for faster storage that is easiler to interface with a modern PC (that has a Compact Flash reader even those are getting difficult to...

    Wireless

I use Logitech wireless mice and keyboards for pretty much every thing. My main PC (The AMD Ryzen in my Sig below I use an MX Master 3 and a wired SteelSeries Apex 350) The Logitech Unifying recievers are rock solid with no interference that I can tell of on the other hand when I use them on...

    Chieftec Dragon clone ...

Yep CompUSA was my go to store back then for parts (possibly because I was there and also my employee discount). Odd smell from new radiator and other questions

Lol! I was just poking fun at you I knew it was not paint. I do the same thing to people selling their car as an "owner" when they are clearly a dealer using a blocked out dealer licence plate on the car they are tying to pawn off as "one owner original miles" as opposed to what? replacement...

    Chieftec Dragon clone ...

Yes I wish I never got rid of mine either. I had quite a few of these cases in the Antec variant the one with 4 front LEDS and 2 USB ports & 1 large (6-pin?) firewire port. It was a heavy beast of a case I would love to get another but not for the price people are asking for these things now. I...

    Win 10 for Workstations

I don't do benchmarks but I replaced my old trusty i7-4790K with a Ryzen 7 3700X and my HandBrake video encodes get done a heck of a lot faster with 8C/16T Vs. 4C/8T of the Haswell i7 I think 32GB DDR4 Vs. 16GB DDR3 may help but I don't know about that. I got my Ryzen 7 3700X back in early March...

Am I asking too much for my socket 939 motherboards and such?

Yes that may be true but those old cars were easy to fix and work on by pretty much anyone which can be seen as good or bad (as in your Uncle Frank can "fix" it) the newer cars have a computer module for practically every function (or the trend now it one module for everything that fails the car...

    Windows’ Hidden Self Destruct Code

What version of Windows is this? and what hardware? Even before Windows 7 went EOS I hated reinstalling it for clients because there was 300+ updates and the update system took many hours only for me to come back and it failed to install over 150 of them so another 1.5 hours latter it is done...

Super Mario Bros. 3 Prototype Cartridge Sells For $31,200 At Auction

I know scalpers in general are 100% scum of the Earth every time something new get released they buy up the stock for the intention of reselling it for their own profit this happens with everything now a days even if said item is of no interest to the scalper they still do it.

Why don't PC cases have 5.25" external drive bays anymore?

I do I rather have the physical media, although now a days with games and some movie discs the disc is nothing more then the license to signal the device "Hey you actually bought it"

Walmart is selling Gateway PCs and no the year is not 1999

I still have my Gateway (Acer) NV5807U I got it back in 2009 for a whopping $599 on Amazon. It has 4GB DDR2 T6500 a 320GB 5400RPM disk and a Blu-ray drive (I added that myself) The keyboard is shot but it still works fine. I actually waited for my free Windows 7 upgrade kit to arive before I...
