This I don't understand at all. Maybe you need to download an update on your XBox 360 because my option is the correct 1920x1080 resolution and I have no problems with screen centering at all.
No Offense but if you are just buying this for a bedroom TV and never intend on hooking up a PC or a gaming system then you are wasting your time and money.
This monitor excels over the so called "high end sets" at being a PC monitor and a great gaming system and its picture quality is...
This is a small pet peeve about this monitor. Unless you have "Auto Source" enabled the DPMS (This is the power save) does not function.
It's not a super huge deal but I hate using Auto Source because at 12:01 am every day my cable company does some sort of "push" to my cable box which...
First I would like to note your signature file states you have a 42" Westy (Probably LVM-42w2). This is the LVM-37w3 thread and I don't want people to confuse the two models as they both have their pro's and cons.
I have done some reading on that model and banding was a "huge" issue with...
You need to goto Control Panel/Power Options and set your power scheme to "Always On".
Also you if you have "stuttering" out of nowhere in your games read this thread about how to fix it.

Retaliation,
I have spoke with the phone reps from Westinghouse and they are nothing more then 8$ an hour morons who have no idea what they are talking about. I believe you plenty that they said that, however the only way you are going to get valid information is either from a technician or a...
In my opinion the only reason they would come out with the 226BW so fast is because of quality control issues with the 225BW. (Backlight problems, and in my own experience, lots of dead pixels)
I went through 3 of the 225BW's before I gave up on it and bought a Westinghouse LVM-37w3.
As...
I don't think I got outclassed.
I paid 779.88+tax on Black Friday for a 37" 1080p monitor that I use as my primary PC display. How can I go wrong at that price?
Besides 56" would be way to large on my desk :D
There is known issues with 1080i movie content deinterlacing to 1080p with some ghosting issues. Just watch them at 720p it solves the issue. Until 1080p content becomes more prevelent this is something we will have to live with. It is not a problem with the LCD being "too slow" because 1080p...
Augiee,
I don't think you took a good look at the model number he stated.
The LTV-32w3 is not 1080p (It has a resolution of 1366x768)
I believe you are confusing it with the LVM-37w3 which is 1080p
So let me see if I understand this explanation correctly.
You asked what the difference between firmware version 1.5 and 1.0 and they told you that there was no difference at all other then them changing the number to mark the time of manufacturing?
(Also there was a 1.6 as well before the...
Also you can just "disable" the fact that the Video Card is treating this as an HDTV. Goto NVidia Control Panel > Display > Manage Custom Timings then uncheck the "treat as an HDTV option"
The only ghosting "problem" really is when the TV is deinterlacing 1080i movie content. I have ZERO ghosting if i am using my HD-DVD at 1080p. So I wouldn't say it is a "slow" monitor. The problem lies more with the video processor deinterlacing 1080i content.
In XBox 360, PC through VGA or...
However if 1.0 is overscanning the 480p images.. I suddenly feel much much better about my 1.5 firmware version.
I know that is no consolation to you guys. :(
Actually 1.0 is the newest. It is stupid how they did their firmware versions. they started at 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, then made their FINAL version 1.0. This has been verified on many forums so 1.0 is definately the newest.
I just tested with my old Xbox. No overscan in 480p in either "standard" or "fill" modes.
I have firmware version 1.5 and I am using Component Input 1.
What firmware version do you have?
It was the Auto Source option.
Once I turned it on it would "wake up" just fine by tapping the keyboard or using the mouse.
I guess I need to pick the lesser of two evils. I don't care for the Auto Source as I have 5 (2 PC's, Xbox, Xbox 360, HDTV Cable Box) devices hooked up and between...
Thanks for the response CyC. Mind answering a couple of more questions to help me try to solve this.
Do you use AUTO Source? (I don't)
Do you know what type of DVI Cable you are using? I bought the Philips 6ft model from Wal-Mart and it is not Dual Link DVI.
What cable are you using?
I have the LVM 37w3 with version 1.5 of the firmware.
There is an option in the menu called DPMS (The power save mode) which you can set to 1, 5, or 10 minutes.
In VGA mode this works properly with my PC. My PC will go into standby mode and 1 minute later the Westy will go into standby...
I have bought LCD's from CC and this is their return policy and I have used it.
Monitors have a 14 day return policy with a 15% restocking fee. They don't have a "Dead Pixel" exchange policy. Their policy is they will let you return for exchange twice (No Restocking Fee on Exchange). On the...
