I sold off all my gaming gear and don't benefit at all from the advantages of this CPU anymore. Looking to trade for a 5950X.
Never overclocked or messed with.
I have nearly 20 years of heatware under Budwise
Anyone else update to the latest 1.51 with Agesa 1.1.0.0 and setting a manual vCore? Since upgrading if I set a manual vcore to say Override of 1.3v, it boots to 1.3v but under all core load like Cinebench the voltage drops to 1.1ish and clocks plummet to 3.5Ghz or so. If I set an Offset of...
Yep, got their latest drivers. Still wish it had a plain ole Intel Gigabit. This is a good example of bs marketing bringing down a product in quality, not up. If they stayed with a solid Intel NIC the average Joe would look at the mobo and the competitors and think it's a downgrade despite...
IMO if at all possible I'd skip the 2.5GBE and just go plain old reliable Intel Gigabit. Unless you have a switch and server and IO on the server capable of the higher speeds its worthless and only causes issues like the one I ran into above.
Yep, I bypassed and went though a Dlink DGS-1100 and it works fine. I replaced the Cisco with another Dlink and all is fine. I guess whatever Realtek is doing is not compatible with all switches...
I got this system up and running a week or so ago and this is my only issue. I get full download speeds but upload speed is terrible. I have Google Fiber and also transfer large files across my LAN and both show really bad upload speeds, in the less than 100 Megabit range. Download speeds are...
Every generation brings some changes in general so it's not really a good idea to make generalities about them before release. I've been building for 20+ years and the brands I've used have varied through the years. Asus has always been a go-to but since they raised the entry level price of...
I picked up one of these after my X470 Taichi committed suicide (rebooted itself during bios downgrade because new bios was terrible). I must say I'm impressed after the struggles of the X470 Taichi. Even on the release BIOS it came right up, offered me DDR4-4000 speeds that my ram was rated...
This is a great little desktop DAC/AMP combo. It can run pretty much any cans you throw at it and even some desktop speakers and sub if you want. It's in like new condition, used it a few times in the bedroom for better speaker sound. I even auditioned it against my Topping D30 and JDS Labs...
Rule of thumb for me, if they force me to watch ads it better be free. If it's a free service, such as Pandora for example, I don't mind an ad here or there as that is how they keep the lights on. If they not only get paid top dollar by me but also advertisers to cram propaganda down our...
Still, that 3FPS and 300 shot battery life. We're back to EOS Rebel speeds.
If you can't tell, I'm an ex-Canon shooter gone Sony. When the 5D4 and 6D2 came out I realized how little they progress for the money they ask. Their L glass is their saving grace though.
No dual cards, no IBIS, no Eye AF, horrible battery life, 3 FPS lol, and a recycled 5D4 sensor with probably the same DR. With the speed at which Canon keeps up with technology they might be competitive in the mirrorless scene in 10 years.
OnePlus phones are an excellent alternative if you don't care much about the camera. If you want a top of the line camera the Pixel or Galaxy phones are still where it's at. I had a OP3T and the camera was just awful.
