I really don't understand how people still defend this connector standard. It's been a steaming pile since launch. Sometimes products fail, and that's ok, as that's how things move forward, but only if you admit it failed and understand why and how.
These modules are only good on the base m4 mini, not the m4 pro mini. I almost ordered one until I checked the fine print. m4 pro modules are still being designed but are "coming soon" and should be up to 8TB since 2TB is the max for the base m4 chip but 8TB for the m4 pro. Well I'm hoping...
AMD already have fake frame software. I never turn it on so I couldn’t really tell you if it’s any good.
I prefer the theory they priced their cards too high and are now doing refunds in the background. This lines up with the failing strategy for their past few gpu releases of being a small...
You can’t really blame him for paying someone to level up his character. Free to play games can be a massive grind just to do anything. He probably has 3 guys doing 8 hour shifts around the clock.
Maybe they’ll get it right this time, but I doubt it.
I do miss my 3d vision setup though. Tri sli 480s going into a 720p DLP projector. It ran great (until 3d vision support waned). There was no better way to play Bioshock.
The old “protect the children” claim. Meanwhile draconian measures will be installed through the protective shield of “protecting the children” which a lot of people are blind to because of the tag line and their instinctive nature of wanting to do that.
Kind of depressing that it’s the...
I’m surprised they’ve lasted this long after what happened in 2018.

This thread demonstrates pretty much why I’m staying on my 8700k for much longer than expected. I was planning on buying a 9xxx3d part at the start of the year, but most of what I do is GPU bound.
It’s looking like a may end up sitting on my hands until AM6 as I won’t need the extra cpu power...
Fan noise. I wasn’t buying mine for a few months anyway, this makes me want to wait for the studio. The drawbacks of a smaller chassis.

It took a lot of self control to not immediately buy one +mb/ram/m2/psu/cooler to replace my aging 8700k. I wonder if I can hold out until they put 16 cores on one ccd.
I do that at the moment, but it introduces all sorts of issues so I want to move away from that. Plus I want to know if it gets loud under load (it probably won’t) since it’s primary use will be as a DAW.
Looks like it's time to upgrade my M1 mini, but I think I'll see how the thermals etc are for the smaller chassis. Paying for their overpriced storage makes me sad.
I've yet to finish it, the game is too buggy for me. From what I played though it's the worst one in my opinion and I have no plans to purchase the next one. Ubisoft's hiring policy seems to have finally come back to bite it in the a** as most of the competent people have probably moved on.

Next year according to that roadmap. Whether that is panel production or having a final product I’m unsure.
The quality has been steadily dropping since the move. The 100+ million dollar failure Concord being a prime example of the decline. Going back to Japan may allow it to distance itself from the DEI infestation that plagues the industry in the west currently.
There's still a good chance I'll buy...
No disc drive, and the cheap plastic stand is sold separately for way too much. If I can get a good trade in price I'll think about swapping my current one. But Sony should probably think about moving their playstation division back to Japan (or just out of California) since the quality of their...
These aren't the X3D parts so really what were they expecting, the performance for the lower power use looks ok to me (If I was in the market to replace my home server I'd probably grab this chip). And really, who's going to buy any current 14th gen intel part willingly.
Decided to pick up an a90k to go with my C2. It’ll mostly be used for watching stuff to the side of my C2 since I’m not a fan of LG’s image processing.
Next purchase will be when 42” 240hz panels come out. Probably whatever Asus put out since I’m out of hdmi 2.1 ports and I forgot DP->hdmi...
So my interpretation of this is they loosened up validation too much to have more stock of the high end parts and they’ve degraded faster than they expected.
I keep planning to shift away from adobe but then never bother. If I used it for business purposes I’d have already left it. It was already pretty obvious with their move to the cloud subscription service they wanted back door access to all of their customers projects for ip theft.
My brother just got one after he smashed his pixel 6 pro. It was the long battery life that sold him on it as he never stopped complaining to me about his pixel’s short battery life. The 3.5mm, SD and no notch also helped. I haven’t had much of a chance to look at it. (Imported from HK since...
While I haven’t bought an Asus product since 2010, I was thinking about picking up their Wifi 7 with 10gbit ports router soon (can’t remember the model number). Maybe I shouldn’t?
I'm hoping for some new ones with better thunderbolt 4 or 5 support. (I can dream) And who knows, maybe intel will pull a rabbit out of a hat. Though it's pretty much looking like I'll grab a 16 core x3d chip and sit on that for ~5+ years.
