I ordered the 600SF from Corsair, I'll post back my after thoughts once I have the unit installed and have it for a bit. But I can tell you that my 980 GTX is my loudest component so I probably won't be able to hear the PSU at all unless I'm not doing anything graphic intensive
Dumb question guys, but does anyone know how to set up raid 0 (2x SSDs) on this?
I'm using an Impact VI, but I imagine it should be similar to the Impact VII right?
Hey AFD,
I sold one of my V1 on ebay for a bit of money, so I made a profit. Which left only my V1, which I'll give to my brother for his ITX build, which means I need a new case, and the V2 is the winner :D
The changes are really minor though, so I'm assuming everything is compatible. I...
I just ordered the NCASE v2, are these starting to ship already?
State-side I'm talking about, on the website it says 2014-09-22, just want to make sure
I can't seem to find it on newegg, can you link it?
Nevermind I found it - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256109&cm_re=SX600-G-_-17-256-109-_-Product
I'm a little hesitant to try it out myself I want to wait until more people receives theirs and can tell me their...
Are we able to order this and get it shipped state-side?
Are there reviews on this unit on how loud and efficent this PSU is?
It should fit in the M1 without any problems like the GPU length restriction right?
I'm sorry if this is a report but here's the product page of the SFX 600W - http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=524&area=en
Thank AFD for finding it though
So only when you shut down the PC or maybe even restart it? Other then that, like listening to music or playing games there's no sound issues?
If that's the case then it isnt that bad honestly
So it seems that the 500W version will be a bit larger then the 600W version right?
Does anyone know if the larger size of the 500W will be a problem? Is it considered an ATX PSU or smaller?
I'm also assuming the 600W SFX will come out later, but how much later?
What does face-to-face mean?
The Samsung 840 Pro's are 7mm thick, so I'm assuming I should be good.
Here's a pic I took from someone here - http://imgur.com/eexX5tP
Is that what you mean by face to face? So on the left side there are mounting bracks, but on the right side I only connect 1...
From what I remember you can stack 2x SSD's in the front correct?
Can anyone tell me how to and if possible provide pictures because I want to run Samsung 840 Pro's in raid 0 and I believe having them in the front stacked would be best in terms of cable management
Thats good to know thanks Proglin, but honestly since I have the Astro A40's I'm just going to use the mixamp with the fiber cable to avoid any type of sound issues
Does anyone know if the new BIOS update fixes the sound issues people are having?
Also if I were to install an Astro Mixamp VIA optic cable, would that solve the sound issues or no?
@warden182,
I believe the 2x 120mm fans should both be intake (mine are set like that), and the bottom fan should be intake also, basically it's sucking cool air from the bottom of pushing it to the GPU. The only fan that should be exhaust if I'm not mistaken is the 92mm rear fan.
Someone...
@Ace of Six,
I've heard lots of bad things with the audio card on the Impact. Did you try plugging it on the rear I/O instead of the HD audio?
I was told plugging it in the rear I/O works best
Thx for the input Rody, would these work? https://www.fastenal.com/web/products/details/0148809;jsessionid=SbcySVlFv8GpD5py5RyZGJKXQfY4YhgbHpnTbQKK2yyLpyLbl6tY!-735277224!-1580640017?isPunchout=false
Also would I need to buy 4 of them with 4 or 8 washer?
Are washers even needed?
I plan on...
Dude, excellent find on that cooler. I would have never thought, I'd personally run push/pull on noctua fans. Since it says it doesn't come with fan screws, which ones do you need to buy to be able to do push/pull configs?
So if you have an Impact mobo, http://www.amazon.com/MyDigitalSSD-Super-Cache-Solid-State/dp/B00EZ2E8NO?tag=hardfocom-20 would plus in the mSATA card with your wifi card?
What's the benefits of this?
Is it like an SSD or just for caching purposes?
ELI5 please
@MiLk
You pretty much have the same build I have, we are twins :D
I'm going for the 780 SC GTX though and blower style, I've been told that blower style would be best for this case specifically so I don't know how ACX will perform.
3x 120mm Noctua Fans
1x 92mm Noctua Rear Fan
1x 256 GB...
So I plan on getting the SFX 450W Gold Edition, I also want the 780 SC GTX. Will it be able to power up the GPU no problem? I only ask because for the PSU requirements for the GPU it states 600W and 42A on +12V Rail which is less then what the PSU supplies.
I also bought the i7 4770k, ROG...

I plan on buying the NH C12P with the Asus ROG Impact, do you guys think it'll fit similar to the one on the picture from Necere's air cooling configs?
Yeah I don't see it when I log into my account on their website, maybe USA shipments aren't ready yet
Does anyone have the Asus ROG Impact and the NH-C14 cooler combo? I want to know if both riser cards (mSATA and Sound Card) can be installed without a problem with that big air cooler.
Thanks!
I plan on using the Asus RoG Impact with the NH-C14, it should be able to fit without a problem even with the 2 riser card attached to the motherboard right? 2 riser cards as in the mSATA card, and sound card
