Thanks! Not really looking to hit a gold mine, just looking to get rid of some stuff I have no use for anymore. If it doesn't sell on here I'll probably put it on ebay individually.

Basically I'm just looking to get rid of this stuff. I used to be really into watercooling a long time ago, but now I have no use for it. I was cleaning my...
Did you see the screenshot for Infinity blade: Dungeons running at 2048x1536? It obviously can't compete with any modern GPU, but it blows integrated graphics out of the water.
Ahhh.... I think you're dead wrong about people not caring about that new screen. HD+ resolutions are nothing new, but HD+ resolutions on a screen that size is BRAND new, and kind of incredible.
The difference between screens in my iPhone 3GS and my iPhone 4S is night and day. The text is...
You really can't beat Intel when it comes to reliability. Their products are simply rock solid. The first SSD I ever owned was an 80GB X-25M G2. Lightening fast and zero problems. I just bought a Crucial M4 256GB, but if it wasn't for that I'd jump on this deal in a heartbeat.
Yeah 4.5 seems like a really good sweet spot for this chip. I could run it a little higher, but there won't be any real world difference and i'd rather keep the chip a little cooler.
I managed to push the chip up to 4.8GHZ at 1.25V (actual VCore was 1.424). Did an IBT and it hit 90C. Was stable, but no way I'm running the chip that hot. Turned it to 4.5GHZ and temps were under 80C for all my benchmarks. Changed LoadLine Calibration to medium so it only overvolts to...
I must have gotten a really good chip. I reduced the voltage a bit, and @ 1.24V I'm running my i5 at 4.7GHZ. Temp is 66C after Prime95 stress testing. Solid as a rock. Kind of scared to do Intel Burn Test lol. I'm going to see if I can push it a little higher on that voltage.
Another...
An update on this for anyone who is curious. I contacted Thermalright and they told me it might be a faulty motherboard. I decided to RMA it and that fixed every single issue I had. (I'm also using thin paper washers instead of the rubber/plastic). Works like a charm now.
Running an i5 2500K with an Asus P8Z68V-Pro/Gen 3 motherboard cooled with a Thermalright Ultra 120 heatsink attached to a 120mm fan.
Right now I have the CPU at 4GHZ @ 1.24V. Prime95 stress testing hovers around 48C and Intel Burn test hovers around 55C.
I played around last night and I...
I tested it outside the case so the airflow should have been fine, and even if the mobo temp was a little high that's no reason for the system not to post. I think the heatsink might have bent the mobo somewhat.
Possibly. There are some plastic washers used to connect the back plate to the mobo (I lost one and I'm using a rubber washer), so as long as rubber and plastic don't conduct electricity I should be fine.
The first time I installed it I forgot to put the plastic washers on, but I went back...
I have an old Thermalright Ultra 120 CPU cooler. I recently bought an Asus P8Z68V-Pro Gen3 motherboard with an Intel i5 2500K CPU. The Thermalright 120 came with monunting brackets for a LGA775 socket, so I bought the following kit to attach it to my new motherboard...
Hello,
I'm upgrading my old Core2 Duo/Intel D975BX2 setup and I'd like a motherboard recommendation.
I figure the best bang for your buck is the i2500 processor. What's a decent motherboard to go with that? I'd like to OC it to around 4 GHZ if possible. I don't need an expensive mobo...
Right now I'm running a core2 duo at 3GHZ. I'd like to upgrade to a 4-core i7, and I'd like to OC it to 4.8 GHZ.
In terms of motherboard, processor, and memory what is the least expensive way to get this result?
hmm, what sort of software would I use to do that?
Or perhaps I could buy some sort of super cheap USB server for around $200? Perhaps I could use some sort of wireless print server?
Ok, so I have a Windows Home Server with about 2TB of free space...
I'd like to install a scanner, that when I scan documents, it automatically puts a JPEG, PDF, whatever, in a specific folder on my Windows Home Server. I'd like to use the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Deluxe, but if there is...
I just bought a new AMD 5850, but I'm worried it won't work on my PSU (Corsair HX620)
My PSU only has one 6 pin PCIE connector and the 5850 needs two. Is this going to be a problem?
For the life of me I can't get a program to monitor the temperature for the ICH10 chipset in Windows. SpeedFan won't do it. HWInfo32 won't do it. It monitors it in the BIOS so I don't see why it won't do it in Windows.
Can anyone help me out with this? HWInfo32 says ICH10 AMT is disabled...
The TRUE 120 is battle tested for years now and is considered the product to beat. It's what I personally use in my rig. There may be one or two coolers out there that might edge it out by a few degrees, but you can't go wrong with the TRUE.
I just took a look at the "godhand"... that thing...
I will say that I'm using WHS from my technet subscription so that's like $100 off the price tag. I'm using it for personal testing purposes so it's perfectly legal.
It depends on what they are looking for.
If they are looking for hardware vs $$$ then the Acer is the best bang for your buck.
If they want what is most ascetically pleasing then go with the HP (although the acer looks quite nice too).
Most of the HP software is largely worthless EXCEPT if...
So I bought all my Windows Home Server hardware, and I have two 750GB drives that I'd like to setup in a RAID 1 array. As this is my first RAID setup, I have a few questions about it before I do.
As I understand it, in RAID 5 array, the data is split to the hard drives in a proprietary...
If it's under warranty then RMA
I had this exact same problem a week after I bought a HD. Instead of RMAing it, I just turned off SMART monitoring in the BIOS. Huge mistake. The hard drive lasted for about a year and crapped out about two weeks ago. I lost some data. It may not die in the...
So I'm new to virtualization, but basically I want to set up a virtual WHS on a HyperV server.
The main reason I want to do this is because I'd like to use a RAID 1 array, and I've heard that WHS doesn't work well with raid. So, I'll just install HyperV on a RAID 1 array, and set up WHS on a...
the CPU you linked to is a socket AM3, right?
I'm totally unfamiliar with AMD CPUs, so I could be totally offbase here, but a AM3 CPU won't work in an AM2/AM2+ mobo, right?
Unless it's classified government secrets or million dollar corporate information I wouldn't worry about it.
If it's just porn then I'm sure they see that stuff 100 times a day.
Well, I certainly don't need 20x hot swappable bays, but you're right, that's a terrific deal for $250.
I was actually thinking things over, and I think I might do a homebrew system composed of the following parts:
Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS 1TB 32MB - $84.99 x 2
G.SKILL 2GB (2...
heh, couple more questions (sorry if I'm asking too much, I'm a curious person by nature).
If I buy the HP, does the motherboard use a standard socket like the LGA775? If so, I could easily upgrade the thing in the future with an old Core2 chip.
Also, if I just want a PC to have access to the...
Hmmmm.... I really like the idea of having hot swappable hard drives so the Acer at $400 is really appealing, but I had a few questions about WHS that I didn't see answered in the FAQ thread. I'm going to ask them here (though maybe posting a question in the FAQ thread might be a better...
So, I think the best option is for me to make a backup server. After doing some basic research I have a few questions if you don't mind.
I have a technet subscription so the cost of the software really isn't a problem. Basically that means I could use Windows 2008 R2 or Windows Home Server...
