I've got a Nokia Multigraph 445Xpro up for grabs in Jersey City, NJ -- if you can come get it, it's yours. Nice monitor, heavy, it'll do 1920x1440 at a nice refresh rate (of course, see the most recent 100 or so pages of the Display forum post about the fw-900 post for details on that) -- it's...

Well, it's finally happened, I have gone digital. Maybe my loss is someone's gain, though. What's the best way to move an old CRT on to its next life? My old monitor is a Nokia Multigraph 445xpro that happily does 1920x1440 if it gets an analog input. Do people just throw them on Craigslist...
And if you're looking for Grim Dawn, it's currently the "Pay early" game for the Humble Monthly bundle on humblebundle, so it's only $12 and you get some other games, too.
Oh, welcome to the club! Read back through the last several pages and you'll lear more than you ever wanted to know about pixel clocks, especially since you never WANTED to learn that the answer to your question is only "well, sort of."
Currently no one makes a high-clock adapter/converter, so...
First family computer was a PCjr, which had better-than-CGA graphics. After that I remember there being a Trident card of some sort. The first video card I spent my own money on (with a very important rebate coming in the mail) was a Matrox M3D card. Cheap and didn't do that well compared to...

"The currently available Ideacentre Y700, part number 90DG0021US, uses a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB which does not have a VGA port. It has DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI ports."
Ah well.
So here's an interesting bit that I just noticed -- the Lenovo Y700 desktop has an nvidia 1070 in it AND it has VGA out -- does anyone know more about this? Is it legitimate? Could I do 1920x1440@80 again?

I've currently got a Logitech G15 keyboard and it has a little screen that I'm using in conjunction with LCDSirReal to show CPU, memory, network bandwidth, audio volume, time, etc.etc.etc.
I like it.
But eventually the keyboard will need to be replaced. Does anyone make a small desktop unit...
Worked for me, had to hit apply on the coupon code twice -- More computer than I'd recently planned out and at a much lower price. I went with more memory and the 6700k and a GTX 970 rather than the 980 -- should be a nice upgrade, thanks, zamardii!
So as a follow-up to this -- I've been happily running my G15 for about 7 years with LCD Sirreal -- I have a windows phone, so the new logitech "use yer phone!" keyboard wouldn't work for me -- are there any standalone small screens that can go on my desk and show me memory/cpu/network usage if...

This looks like a LOT of computer for the dollars. 32 gigs of ram, two xeon processors, and from quickly looking it up, they've got a big power supply in there, too.
The only thing that's got me not jumping on this are the...
And phone sales are down 54% -- but really, I've been using my "flagship" Windows Phone for more than two years now and they really haven't put out anything better since then, so it's not like they're creating demand.
And I'm actually looking forward to the new ones and suspect many other...
Hello 4 other Windows Phone users! I've got a 2 year old Windows Phone and am pretty happy with it. I can't wait for the single half-finished app that uses this VR technology! (I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm not going to pretend that we get all of the good apps, and "updates" to known apps...
And you know THEY know it's cheap when they're doing a "buy 5 get one free" right out the door.
Grandmothers with 6 grandchildren just did their Christmas shopping.
Then again, if you don't need Home for 365 and just need Personal, Amazon's got it for $27 right now

If you're already using a few of these, this is probably a pretty good deal.

If you like this idea and don't want to wait (and/or want 2.1 amps, 2 outlets, and more power outlets), Belkin makes a pretty handy, slightly more obvious outlet.
This raises so... many... questions.
Looks like another cable by these guys is at least a cat7 cable. I really want someone to throw one of these on a Fluke cable tester and see if they're any different than any other cat 7 cable. (or if they actually meet the cat7 standard at all.)
If you...
Even the old ones make good HTPC options! I will say that a 45 Watt A8-8650 would be fantastic, cooling-wise -- the fan noise gets to be a bit much currently.
I can sort of see Yahoo's angle on this -- the CC license can and often is a "please use this!" -- if you're not ok with commercial use, you can reserve that right (even with CC licensing).
Looking at my battery app, looks like the average charging rate is 23% an hour and for me that is almost all wirelessly. The battery lasts a long time, though, with <4% per hour discharge. (from a battery app)
I think plugging it in is faster, but not by much, and I have found the usb cable...
My favorite story about a Bitcoin ATM is about one that charged a 7% fee and then noticed that transactions had markedly dropped off. When going to check it out, there was a guy sitting there with a laptop doing it for less.
The Aircheck and the Linkrunner AT are both REALLY nice -- It isn't as new, but the slightly older linkrunner pro is very nearly as good for most purposes and much cheaper.
I just use the work ones, especially as I'd be worried about using personal ones on a job -- if it breaks at work, is it...
What if instead of letting people see better, we make glasses do something else?
What if instead of letting people see better, we make contact lenses do something else?
What does google have against people who use corrective lenses to actually see?
