I'm sure I read that NVidia was going to release new drivers monthly.
Just looked for Windows Vista 32-bit drivers and they are still 100.65 / Feb 20th
So it's the end of March almost and still no new drivers? Are NVidia sitting on their hands
It's not just the graphics chip that makes for performance.
The AMD 64's and X2's just don't cut it with STALKER. Not sure if its bandwidth or bottlenecks but having seen STALKER on my friends X2 5200 and comparing it to my C2D (both pc's have BFG's 8800GTS OC) it runs like crap and it's very...
I just got the 226BW last night and it looks amazing in Windows. but I have not done any calibrations  how do I do that? There wasn't much on the Samsung supplied CD.
I was planning on holding off on upgrading my 6600 until the G81 or refresh but I just don't know now. Is there a point buying a DX10 Video card when there are no DX10 games?
Please tell me this is not true :( I really can't justify getting an 8800 - they just aren't that much faster and the drivers such. I would hate to wait until Q4, 2007 to get a new graphics card.
Wow thanks for the information!
These 226BW's are just being released in Australia on March 1st and I'm now going to make sure the model is a 226BW S and not an A.
What will happen to the new batch of 8900's that were meant to be released to dampen the ATI euphoria?
Or is NVidia still going to release the new 8900's at the end of march anyway?
I was really excited about getting this panel since I run Vista and love my games.
But after reading all the different and confusing views I just don't know anymore. I'm totally confused.
Quite simply, is the panel any good or not? I play games and run vista.
I'm still struggling with trying to decide to go for widescreen or not. The one thing that is helping me make my decision is that I watch a lot of DVD ony my PC and I run Windows Vista but I'm a bit concerned about games - then theres HDMI, and I want that. So I guess widescreen is it.
You have a video card that is totally droolworthy to most gamers. I felt like bursting into tears reading "Ditch my 7950GX2" -
Maybe save your tax money and wait for the G80 refresh. 8900 and such. Cooler and faster than the 8800, what could be better?
If anyone has waited this long to get a 8800GTS I would say, wait just a little longer it will be worth the wait.
The 8900GTS is coming within the next 6 to 8 weeks and it will run cooler and faster and have better specifications.
It's nonsense to buy a 8800 series graphics card now, how...
Hmm I'm getting a nice new widescreen (1680x1050) LCD screen and want to play games such as Crysis / Far Cry 2 and UT2007 - will 320MB be enough to do that?

My Core 2 Duo E6600 on an Intel DG965RY mother board runs fine with standard memory settings, but I want to really run my FSB at 333MHz and not 266MHz.
I have attached a screenshot to help out.
I'm a total noob to overclocking, I'm not even sure if this is overclocking? Can someone help me...
Ha! 6800GT, you have it good! I'm running onboard G965 (GMA 3000) graphics until Gen 2 of these 8800's come out.
What will nVidia call them? 8850GTS/GTX?
But I won't actually have to plug and unplug will I? I thought that maybe the LCD will detect a signal and just run with it. Since I'm looking at attaching two computers to the one LCD but only using one computer at a time... That should work, right? :(
The LCD monitor I want has a DVI and a standard VGA connector, so I wanted to connect two PC's to it.
Can that be done? And will it work?
I'm looking at only using one computer at the time and sharing the LCD monitor between them.
Got to get rid of this old 21" CRT but can't afford...
I'm in the market to buy a new LCD Monitor, time to retire my old Sony 19" CRT.
I mostly use my computer for digital image editing and game playing, I also want the display to work with Vista  HDCP:confused:
Initially I was sold on the Samsung but I hear the base is nasty, so I...
 Cool. I'm so glad I started this thread! I guess good things do come to those who wait.
What does suck though is that I have a 4 month Intel mainboard in my new Core 2 Duo PC and it looks like it may not even get to 12 months old before I replace it with a shiny new PCIe V2.0 Board.
I read that the part is likely to be refreshed in March 07
Would this refresh include PCIe 2.0 support and perhaps a thinner manufacture for the chip
I guess I want to get the best I can for my hard earned $$ and I'm not worried about buying a 8800GTS/GTX yet since...
CA products have never let me down.
I use CA Antivirus 2007 and CA Antispyware 2007 and they are great.
So I think I need a firewall software since Windows XP SP2's does not do outbound? I don't think it does anyway, I never get any prompts.
Was thinking about buying CA Personal...
Ok will do! ;) Funny thing is, that I just did a search on creative's site for a Vista 32 bit driver for Audigy 2 Value and the Beta driver is gone!
I'm trying to find a decent OpenAL supported Vista compatible sound card. It's not an easy job as I've found out.
Since Creative is abandoning my Audigy 2 (no EAX support in Vista) I need a new sound card.
But is EAX even that important? I have an Intel Board with a Sigmatel 92XX chip. Do...
I want EAX in my games under Windows Vista and I found out that it's just not going to happen with my Audigy 2 and Vista Drivers.
So I started investigating purchasing a X-Fi Sound Card - Expensive, then a friend told me that I can buy an OEM X-Fi.
What I'd really like to know is...
