Ok, not sure which OLT vendor you are working with but Nokia for example can do up to 4x100GB for their OLT uplinks, and those are designed to be deployed in street side cabinets.

My birthday finally happened so I could start the assembly of the Q10 keyboard that has been growling from the bottom of the birthday pile for a month or two.
So the pile of stuff consisted of:
Keychron Q10 ISO knob barebone in Navy
Keychron Q10 brass plate
Keychron light blue knob
8x 2u...
I got the V6 all assembled, it is huge compared to the V8:
If you want a proper noisy keyboard, the V series is the one to get. For the fun of it when I received the barebones I plugged in one of the Kailh Box Summer clicky switches with a PBT Cherry keycap. It was LOUD. The perfect weapon if...
I have Keychron Q10 ISO in Navy Blue and a translucent V6 ANSI in transit. The V6 will be for my sister but I'm intrigued how it sounds and feels in case of future V10 urges...
The V6 will have a PC plate while the Q10 will go brass plate just like the Q8 I already have.
I got some new EPBT Kavala keycaps to add a bit of colour.
Considering they are made of PBT just like the previous set they feel totally different to the touch, they are silky smooth somehow.
An update to my post above. The retro SA keycaps arrived and shortly after got returned. The colour scheme didn't work at all with the silver Q8, probably because the Q8 is a hint of blue and the key caps were in some beige/green/brownish tones.
However, it wasn't the colour that made me return...
The evolution of my keyboard continues.
I tried a POM plate and didn't like it at all so now I'm rocking a brass plate. Initial switches were Gateron Pro 3.0 Red followed by a set of Gateron Baby Kangaroo 2.0.
After getting two switch testers plus a few more switches for a total of 75...
It is as mentioned above a more egonomic layout known as Alice. I have used ergonomic keyboards for the past 4 years and I got used to them so when I decided to get a mechanical keypboard it was an obvious choice.
I'm not a big fan of regular keyboards any longer. Also I didn't want to go to...
I just built my first mechanical keyboard this week, a Keychron Q8 with ISO layout:
It's quite a difference from the MS Ergonomic keyboard I had before. It will definitely take a while to get properly used to it, although it is working better than expected after 3 days already.
Kodi on Nvidia Shield is working absolutely fine. Have two of them pointing to a Linux file server that also runs MySQL for a central library database.
I have spent most of my working life in an office, however for the past 3.5 years I have worked from home pretty much 100%.
Working from an office is great IF everyone you work with are based in the same office. My team for the past 5 years are spread out in offices across nearly 800 miles so...
I'm not surprised, where my wife work they are all migrating to Chromebooks.
I no longer have a dedicated Windows PC at home. My main system is Linux with a Win7 virtual machine if needed. My laptop is dualboot Linux/Win7. Of course it helps that I don't play any games, that would have been a...
