dondan The PNY 2080 Ti XLR8 OC is not compatible with the Dan case. It's 1-3mm too long.
If you push it in it can fit but the card scrapes against the inside of the case. This won't work with the 92mm AIO as the card hits one of the tubes.
It's a shame as I have to return the case now due to...
So I bought a 40mm noctua fan to place on top of the NVME SSD. Stress testing with a 1080 Ti and 7700k at 4.2k ghz. Running unigine heaven and aida 64 together.
Gpu was 76, cpu was hitting 95 and the ssd was at 72.
CPU temps are usually in the low 70’s during gaming so hopefully the ssd should...
Delid is fine as I was getting reasonable temperatures in my old build with the same cpu. I think my CPU is just bad in terms of silicon lottery. Need 1.27v for it to be stable at 4.5ghz xmp settings. In the power settings I reduced the cpu to 99% to stop the overclock. At 4.2ghz the core is...
It's a tight fit and the screw to secure the m2 drive will be annoying but it works. I can imagine it's a lot cooler than the motherboard sink seeing as it covers both sides of the PCB and has more surface area.
I'll run some tests later when I get back home. I'm pretty curious myself.
1. It's a Samsung 960 Pro 2TB. 2. I'm using an EK NVME heatsink since the original heatsink (strix z270i) was too big and touching the cryorig cooler.
3. Not sure about temps will need to check later. What software did you used to check NVME temps ? The heatsink was mainly for aesthetics.
I...
Bit late to the party but I finally got a Dan case last week. The 1080 Ti is fine, 74 degrees at 2000 rpm at 2ghz.
Cpu is the problem though. 7700k is hitting mid 80's during gaming. Noctua n9i made the cpu throttle past 90. Currently using the cryorig c7 with the noctua fan on top.
How did...
