Hi Eugene,
I have a little problem with a RMA that I received today, about a week ago I sent in my 280x Gaming 6Gb card because it was artifacting really bad. Got the replacement in today and while the service was amazing fast, I was sent a 280x Gaming 3Gb card instead. If needed I can provide...
I worked for Compaq/HP many many years ago as assembly technician doing server deployment, laptop, desktop, and workstation assembly. In my tool bag I still have my grounding strap they issued us, and I think I have worn it maybe three times since 2004. Since then I have built and repaired...
Usually the gfx card upgrade hunt begins when I have to go from "ultra" to "very high" settings. I am very patient though and will continue research until I find a great deal or when I have to bump down further to "high/medium". At which point it's time to bite the bullet and grab the best card...
Don't take this the wrong way, but don't be a douche! Never call when it comes to a price markdown like this! Of course they didn't have any in stock! You tipped the "mo's" off to a price mix up! Dummy! They bought them all up to sell on ebay like the rest of the SD'ers!
Snagged one up at my local wally world, they had quite a few left since I'm in redneck north Idaho. Wasn't totally in the market for a new router, but at this price with these features you cannot go wrong! Thanks OP!
Also, setup was a breeze, had it up and running and all configured within 15...
Dammit my roommate and I each bought a copy for $25 bucks on 360 today so we could play, and the PC version is on sale too! EA just got my money twice in one day, can't say that has ever happened before!
I was at Best Buy yesterday and they have the Kuhler 620 on clearance for $41.99, price on their website still shows $59.99 so this may be YMMV. Amazon still has it at $58 bucks. Pretty slick deal on an entry level AIO water system. I might roll back over there and grab another for my XFX 5850...
Glad I stocked up on the official MS dongles when Target put them on clearance back in 2009! I bought five of them for $5 bucks a piece! Gave three away to friends and family and kept two for myself. Must have been a good batch, because everyone of them still works! Still have one unopened...
I figured since the old mobo was just sitting around collecting dust and will be taking a visit to the dump soon as it's doa I may as well give it a try.
The 790XT sinks match up perfectly with the mounting holes in the 970a. So that is a good sign. The northbridge sinks are very similar, but...
Cool, what case are you using? To be more specific I'm still running an Antec SX-1030 SOHO, which seems to be the same width as a Antec 900. If I run into clearance issues with my side panel fan I'll just screw the fan to the outside of the panel lol.
I cannot find a ts120 anywhere, those seem...
Thanks, I picked up a pair tonight! Listening to them right now, so far they're great cans! They do need a powerful source to really shine, I'm using a fiio e4 to amp them and without it my ipod, and Tritton AX720 dac just can't push them.
I have an old school Zalman 9500, picked it up about 5+ years ago and it's lasted through AM2, AM3, and now onto AM3+ and still kicking. Sadly with the recent FX6300 purchase it's not quite up to snuff. I know the edition I have was never intended to last through this many sockets but props...
Fair enough, just a little curiosity to kill the cat. Getting stuck at 4.8ghz just had me wondering if it's more of a VRM issue than anything. I do have a pretty accurate IR Thermometer at work I'll probably "borrow" tomorrow. I thought about reusing the stock thermal tape, or getting some NT-H1...
As the title says I just upgraded to a 970A-UD3 with a FX-6300. So far overclocking has been pretty good, but seems that I hit a wall at 4.8Ghz @ 1.5v. Looking at reviews and opinions it seems the only complaint about this board is the VRM sink is a little inadequate.
I came from a Gigabyte...
What's wrong with your 8120? Definitely wayyyy faster than the x2 550BE I just upgraded from lol!
Looks like the CM 212 EVO is the popular budget heatsink at the moment. Anyone think it's inadequate for a 5ghz O/C on a fx6300? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Sorry to threadjack, about two weeks ago I asked nearly this same question, I read through the thread, did a little soul searching, and snatched up the 6300 for $104. Started overclocking a couple days ago and got to 4.8ghz @1.5v stable, hit the wall and cannot seem to get any higher. So far I'm...
I heard the same thing in one of the reviews I watched. If it's true then I guess that is one of the two advantages that the wired mixamp has over the wireless, the other being that it can also accept digital coax and composite audio as an input. Mixing an mp3 player in with the decoding stream...
I've been in the same boat looking for a new headset that I can migrate easily between my Xbox 360 and PC. I've watched and read a ton of reviews in the last couple weeks and so far the consensus between the wired and wireless Astro Mixamp is space. Basically if you are only using the setup on...
I ordered a tube of the Creamique on Thursday and it came today. Pretty descent shipping time, sadly the mailman or someone along the way stepped on the envelope or something because the tube was cracked and the nozzle busted off. Hopefully they'll send me a new tube. Still a good price for the...
I just snagged one up, the RT-N16 will be replacing my Uncle's WRT120N. I just cant handle the frequent dropped connections and it constantly overheating. I'm putting it up for one of the worst Linksys routers ever made!
I'm throwing TomatoUSB on first thing and then plugging in our two HP...
Not allot to choose from today, but I bit on Lara Croft, Burnout, IG: Warlord and Puzzle Quest. Not too bad, hope PQ works I haven't played that since I got rid of my old phone lol
Damn that ought to teach me for not checking the hot deals section when looking for something. Looks like this laptop is sold out, I've been hunting for something like this for the last couple days. I'm sure another will turn up soon enough. Thanks anyway OP! The resolution may be low, but for...
He might be a troll, but like others have mentioned don't be surprised if he turns out to be really legitimately dumb.
Back when I worked for Earthlink we would get calls from people like this every now and then. They know just enough to be dangerous, usually FUBAR'ed their settings so bad that...
What do you mean by the "2D aspects of the game"? Like the squad menu, match stats, and weapons right? If you are seeing all of those and just gray in the center of the screen then nothing is wrong, it's just the server and they have the killcam/ squadcam option turned off.
I just got XFX non-reference 5850 from Newegg today, and it does not have software voltage control support in MSI Afterburner. It runs super cool though, I'm getting 850mhz on the core and 1166mhz mem clock and barely hitting 42C with the fan @ 55% I'm happy. :D
Thanks for the guide Derfman, helped me get my XFX 5850 installed today and setup my 8800GT as a physX card.
I'm using the 196.34 drivers from your link and the Catalyst 10.3 Beta dirvers. Works like a charm in Batman:AA and Fluidmark.
I did have some trouble at first, but I think I may not...
I'm running a similar setup to yours and I just installed an XFX 5850 today. Amazing card, can't slow it down no matter what I throw at it. I would have gone crossfire 5770's but I'm planning on setting up eyefinity tomorrow if my monitor off eBay shows up. I figure the extra memory bandwidth...
