I really like the high build quality and fan placement. In the future, i'd like to see more high-end cases at middle-level prices. Corsair makes nice products!
That logic makes sense, it seems that i'm barely getting any performance increase at all in RAID 0, except for maybe just a little bit more transfer rate speed. I did tweak my AAM and got my access time in the 12 second range so that's an improvement.
So i'm assuming the consensus is that...
Sorry meant to post this yesterday but the forums were up and down. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA- P35-DS3L revision 2. Yes, the one without the RAID controller built in. My RAID card is a PCI-express model, so i wouldn't think that would be holding me back too much.
I did change the...
Not sure what else to try....the drivers and bios supporting the card are the latest version. I updated the intel chipset drivers to the latest version. Everything "appears" properly configured. The hard drives aren't throwing errors, so that's clean. Maybe the card just sucks, but it got...
Yeah that's why i didn't buy a hardware card, heard it didn't make too much difference for RAID 0. I just thought my access times looked slow for starters, but if you think it doesn't look too bad, then maybe nothing is wrong....
I just got my new cheap RAID controller (silicon image 3132) and 2x WD 640 AAKS hard drives in today. I installed the card and set it to RAID 0 with 64k stripes. Did a fresh install of Vista ultimate. I also updated the card's bios and drivers. I'm getting really slow readings from this...
I think you are drastically underestimating the A5s. I've got mine less than 6 inches from the wall, and they still put out amazing, clean, balanced bass. I don't need a sub. I really thought i would, but the A5s hit the low notes with the best of them. It's the best purchase i've ever made...
I know neither of these are "top of the line", but I'm getting a new laptop for medium gaming and general use. I think I've narrowed it down to these two both right at or under 1k. Anyone have or heard anything about either? I can't find jack for info on MSI laptops. The MSI has better...
Don't get me wrong, there isn't a 8" sub hidden in those speakers, but the mid-bass is quite good once the speakers break in. I don't feel like i need a sub. If i ever do, there is the sub out, so you're covered there. You'll like them, trust me.
The A5s are amazing. Absolutely amazing. You'd think they cost $500+ or so. The sound is clear and believe it or not, i don't feel the need for a sub. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. Straight out of the box i was impressed, and as time goes on and they continue to "break in" it just...
The ASUS card came back in stock this morning at the egg, so I went ahead and ordered that. It's just been a hot card lately and with the new speakers i was being impatient in getting what i wanted.
Thanks for the help!
Ok,
I just ordered the Audioengine A5 set and was going to match it with a ASUS xonar DX on my vista x64 ultimate system. However it's on backorder almost everywhere. I saw this pop up today and wanted to get people's thoughts as an alternative. I mainly listen to music an occasionally...
Thanks for the suggestion. The Rad is completely unbolted right now and i've twisted it around in every way possible while the system was on. The only thing where air might be trapped in is the water block.
I'm going to play around with it some more tonight. You would think that the...
I appreciate the advice and response. Sounds like i'll have to remove a few components, however at this point anything is better than the sound of water splashing.
I'll let you know if it fixes the problem!
I'm hoping that someone out there with this kit or more experience water cooling can help me out with a problem. I've already done a search on these forums and found the issue a few times but no solution.
I've got the kit installed (H20-120 Premium) and have probably run it for about 5-7...
