The 270x I recently purchased was the same way. I have a second one on the way so if I remember this post Ill see if the second one was like that. I'm sure its probably just how they ship them now. Id prefer a factory branded seal on the outside and internal packaging in order to...
Southeastern Kentucky grows enormous amounts of Marijuana. Several local sheriff's have been busted over the years for taking bribes, and theirs lots of local corruption surrounding the drug trade. The plants tend to grow well and theirs still an old school farming community in the region...
So for my new build (dont look at my old sig :P) I've been going back and forth for weeks trying to find the right card for me. Current system specs, corsair g800 watt ps, amd 8150 cpu, 8 gb corsair ddr3, and an ASUS M5A88-V EVO mobo.
Ive been looking at crossfire configurations mostly...
Wow came from left field from a company that hadn't been doing mmo's but were good at encouraging a sense of community. Their is such a dedicated fan base for the elder scrolls series now that I think its going to be the first game in an age of man that can really do something new and unique...
Even when Amd chips outperformed intel by a vast margin their was some rumor of sinking ship syndrome. I personally think its a bad thing, with no competition intel can essentially charge whatever they want for their products.
My current rig (not the ancient one in my sig) was hit by lightning last summer. Only the motherboard failed, all other parts working and accounted for. In the process of upgrading my case and cooling solutions. Interestingly enough for a short time some of the stuff inside was magnetized...
You should be going alot slower on lower rpm's with the low cost cutting wheels they give you with the kits. You can get reinforced wheels, but the same techniques should be applied go slowly and smoothly and mask off your work areas. Measure 6 times and cut once is my motto.
I ended up going with the PC 60-fnwx, although I had looked at this case as well. They seem to be extremely similar in layout. I just realized how old the rig in my signature was :O. That thing still runs though.
Having alot of trouble deciding on a case for my new build. I want enough room to mount a 240 mm radiator above the motherboard, a removable motherboard tray would be nice but not an absolute must, power supply mounted on bottom of case, and hopefully a sidewindow and blacked out interior...
Aye ive been checking the forum often to see if hes finally finished this. He appeared to be close to stage of final assembly, with an absolutely ridiculous amount of work to be put into it at that point, so i can certainly see why hes taking so long to finish with the build. Still would like...
Do me a favor and dont bump this till he post again! You just got my hopes up, ive checked this thread like 6 times a day to see if it was finished yet.
Not having looked at his results im not sure how that compares to a real world leak, which is likely going to be out of just one component. I dont think any product is intended to be in contact with the board, i mean thats just common sense, keep it in the loop!
Your builds remind me of some of steve vai's guitars. http://www.jemsite.com/jem/origin/index.htm
While they certainly look shocking to say the least they are insanely functional and extremely high quality, which your builds also do. I mean its supposed to be gawdy, like intergalactic pimp...
Bfg did a similar promotion last year, when they traded in older video cards, I traded my old agp card for a new geforce 9500 1gb oc with no cost >.>. Card is running great, and i made the choice of going with bfg for my new power supply. Thanks bfg once again.
Were you using a surge protector? A nice small portable one would have probably saved you some headache, but in the event of a power outage (what caused it) this can definitely happen.
Its definitely a high tempature, but its a passively cooled card so thats to be expected. If youve got some zip ties and a spare 80mm or smaller fan mount it to the heatsink to get some extra cooling going. You could also try running with the case door off to improve airflow especially if your...
If your serious about it you should outline some plans, what size watercooling setup you want to use, how big do you want the case to be, and your budget. If you want to internalize all components then thats something we would need to know. The system runs cool enough with aftermarket fans...
Your going to have to reactive, and even if you get it to work its going to run like shit. Do yourself a favor and get another disc or back up your old data and start fresh. Nothing pains me more than seeing people with a 6 year old install of xp and them not wanting to reinstall. I am still...
Got time to finish wiring things up tonight. Specs are Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 gigs of corsair memory, geforce 9500 gt oc (free from bfg), and a asus P5nd-Sli motherboard (plans to upgrade to sli soon). Thanks once again to bfg, this fits all my needs nicely so far, and would like to do...

By utilizing even a small portion of airconditioning (in most homes in U.S.............so wasteful) as cool air intake for your case you will get some good oc's year round.
Open your cdrom drive and place your windows installation disc inside. Youll need to set the cdrom first in the boot priority NOT the hard disk. As soon as the cd rom drive is first in boot priority the pc will read the disc when booting up and will depending on your operating system, give you...
What i always do, is start from scratch, especially when it looks like i might have hardware failure, it can help as well if you have some extra hardware around for testing. This is also why many people like to "bench test" their hardware outside the case before they start installing...
No video signal. Do you have the 4870 plugged into the power supply? Make sure the video card is seated properly. Is the computer posting a series of beeps when you turn it on or is it dead silent.
