I do not have specifics, but I suspect "2d mode" as being the culprit. Check ccc to see if it has a 2d mode or comparable mechanism set to automatic activation.
You should be able to fit it, but I'd wait for another opinion or two--I've never owned any of the componenets in question and do not know how many directions the cooler can be mounted. It's definitely going to be a tight fit, lol.
Cooler dimensions if you don't already have them: 123 L x 96 W...
@Surly73
In games that support it, you should use console to edit sensitivity. You'll have much more control than the use of a slider, which when you're dividing to this degree of magnitude, definitely helps. In quake 3's engine, I can set the sensitivity as low as .001. In source, it at least...
I'm a little confused by your question. There are three potential issues I see.
1. If the cooler was the wrong socket type, which is not the case--the board is 775 and the cooler is 775 compatible. You can see this on the spec sheets of both the motherboard and the cooler at almost any online...
I play quake 3 and quake 3 mods for the most part in which the usage of a non-standard resolution is as easy as editing a configuration file. With this in mind, having more vertical viewspace with a high fov makes a huge difference when you're playing on a map that requires you to work vertical...
UGHH... to all of the people saying "my mouse is too sensitive at max dpi!", understand this: once your mouse sends its perceived input to your computer, that input signal is put through a number of filters before it is output and represented on your monitor. There's the windows acceleration and...
I haven't checked 69xx temps, but 90+ c is hot as fuck.
Edit: Yeah, that's way over normal. What's your ambient temp? Have you messed with the heatsink/fan at all? That temp alone could almost definitely cause instability.
If I were you, I'd build one. Look someone up on craigslist with a metal shop and do some yard work or something in return for some help doing the project. materials won't be much at all, comparatively speaking ($75+), and you'll be able to make it however you want.
I met a guy in a community...
ati tray tools is a phenomenal tool. it's given me a lot more freedom and information than afterburner + kombustor. you could set it to autolaunch, but i'm not sure if you can have a window of it automatically open at computer startup.
I have speedfan set to autolaunch + window, and it lives...
in a case like this, you should always check up on your motherboard specs (if you are not already sure of them) first, so that you'll have something with which to search for an answer to the motherboard problem at hand. in the case of every motherboard I've needed to read up on, an online copy...
Yeah, I was considering getting a used 6850 here, but I read an article to the same effect. I already have one of these (got it for 50 AR a little while back) and crossfiring's just so much cheaper for the same immediate performance.
Happy for you man. I played it safe with a 965 BE cause there was a 20$ difference due to a sale, but I'm really happy with mine too. I hit 3.8 on stock; really excited to see how high it'll go with my new cooler + some good TIM and proper airflow.
Opening this thread back up to get a third card.
I'm looking to buy a 4850 1GB as well as three compatible after-market coolers, and some heatsinks that could be used or cut for use on a gfx card's ram etc.
If your card comes with a good cooler, that's most preferable, but I'll definitely...
I'll be going with another 4850 in crossfire to tide me over until a big upgrade. Thanks for the good offers everyone. I'm opening a new WTB thread for the 4850.
I'm thinking that a 2x3 or maybe 3x4 120-140mm fan array looks like the best cfm+static pressure for the area without using a stupidly powerful (and loud) AC fan, so that seems like the best option. I'll be fabricating from steel a custom side for the case along with a housing with for this fan...
I did my research and am deciding to wait a while to do a big upgrade; I'll come back with a bigger budget and better questions.
For now I'm going to grab a used 4850 to crossfire. Thanks for the help.
i have a 19" 1280x1024 shitty lcd atm with decent input lag. I'm wondering if the S211HLbd will be an improvement/worth 100$. Input lag is one of the most important things to me, since this is only for gaming, but ghosting comes in at a close second, with washed out darks/blacks being a close...
I don't like to necro, but I'm helping a friend's mom get one of these up and running and I need to find drivers for it, which has been a fruitless goose chase thus-far. The bioses linked are 404ed. Not sure what to do. If this thread doesn't catch what I need, I'll make my own thread in this...
