With that resolution, and those games I think you would definitely be happy with the 4870. The 4890 would not be worth the money for your needs.

My roomate just build a budget gaming rig for under $500, and ended up going with the 4870. I would deff say it is a very good card and can run the highest setting on a lot of games, and is priced very reasonably. I say go for it!

Wow.....if that is really the power connector under that heatsink that is just messed up. Who ever made this or put that heatsink on there would have to be pretty stupid/not use common sense. I say return it and buy a different brand as said before.

Ohhh, that explains it. Have you looked at the COGAGE True Spirit it seems to have done very well in Hard's Intel Core i7 Heatsink Roundup Q309. Kinda like the younger smaller cousin of the 120 extreme. If I had an i7 I would have gotten it instead of the 120 Extreme.

Also a very nice case for the price. I usually prefer Lian-Li over Antec myself because Lian-Li cases have some of the best quality compared to other cases, but I also really like what Antec is doing with their 900 and 1200.
