    Official NVIDIA Ampere In-Stock Thread

I feel the same way. I was pumped to get a 3080 and then all this BS sucked the fun out of it.

    I Bought a RTX 3080 Today!

Our hardware rep just forwarded me an email he received from his contact at ASUS. Citing a GPU shortage at launch, the ETA date for my 3080 has now changed from October 2nd to November 30th! Looks like it really was, for the most part, a paper launch! I'm just hoping availability increases and...

    Official NVIDIA Ampere In-Stock Thread

LOL, probably a good thing I didn't see them there. Most likely, I would have just bought a 3090 to scratch my 3080 itch!

    Serious Sam 4 Released

Yep, loved all the previous installements and I picked this up on launch day. Looking forward to trying it after I finish up the new DLC for Outer Worlds.

    AmpereGate! RTX 3080 instability

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for those of us who have factory overclocked 3080s ordered, it seems counterproductive to pay extra for the O/C model if the "stable" Nvidia drivers back the clocks down.

    I Bought a RTX 3080 Today!

Our hardware rep said their first shipment is coming in October 2nd and he is reserving an Asus TUF 3080 for me: https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/TUF-RTX3080-10G-GAMING/ Looking forward to seeing how much of an improvement over my 1080 Ti it is.

    Crysis Remastered

LOL, would be awesome to run two 3090s and see what the FPS would be!

    I'm betting the 3090 can!

    I Bought a RTX 3080 Today!

I got my 1080 Ti with no problem on launch day, but with the 3080 shitstorm, looks like I'll be keeping it a while longer!

    I Bought a RTX 3080 Today!

Started 10 minutes early and I could never get the Nvidia site to add a card to my cart and Best Buy just went from "Coming Soon" to "Sold Out" immediately. Total BS!!!

The Outer Worlds (New Obsidian RPG)

There were only about four saves listed, so I went back to the earliest one. I managed to get back on the ship, but ADA said the weather was too rough to leave so I'm basically screwed! Good thing I like this game since I'll be starting over and going back through half of it just to play the...

The Outer Worlds (New Obsidian RPG)

I agree. I ponied up the money and bought it, only to find that with the limited amount of saves the game has, I'm screwed and can't go back before the final mission. I was looking forward to doing the DLC at Lvl 30 with all my gear. Now I have to start all over from scratch! Ugh, this is a...

    Dying Light

Just picked up this up cheap for PC and I was really enjoying the eye candy. I've liked Techland's engines since Call of Juarez way back in the day. I was surprised that despite being 5 years old, it was giving my 1080 Ti a workout at 4K. But just when I started getting into it, they...

    Crysis Remastered

It looks good but, Jesus Christ, what's it gonna take to run it at 8K with Ray-Tracing enabled??? I doubt even a 3090 will be able to cut that with 60 FPS!

    EVGA Bstock 1080Ti @ $399, 1yr warranty.

If it follows previous Nvidia cards than it should. I'm just looking forward to finally getting some RTX lovin'.

    EVGA Bstock 1080Ti @ $399, 1yr warranty.

If rumors are to be believed, a new 8GB 3060 will cost around $400. I also have a 1080 Ti and am considering a 3070 or 3080 variant depending on the specs and price.

    Just Upgraded To Gigabit

Just that they may throttle me if I download more than 5 TB in one billing cycle. Not a big deal since I've never downloaded more than about 600 GB in a month.

    Just Upgraded To Gigabit

Been thinking my 300 Mbps was plenty fast and I rarely maxxed it out, but my ISP offered me an upgrade to 1 Gbps for the same $80/month I've been paying, so it was a real no-brainer. Can't wait to get home tonight and run some speed tests. Hard to believe that just three years ago I was stuck...

    Borderlands 3

I (finally) finished the main storyline and all side-quests, but doubt I'll buy any of the DLC. Towards the end it just got so grueling and monotonous for me that I have no desire to play any more. Guess I'll give my self a break from it and see if I want to pick it up in the future.

    Why does Doom Eternal suck?

Initially, I too was put-off by Doom Eternal "feeling" so different than Doom 2016. However, about mid-way through, I started to adapt to it and (aside from the ridiculous jumping puzzles) really enjoyed it otherwise. Of course, I'd love to see where the franchise would have headed had Carmack...

No worries, here. I'm not buying anything until I see what the new Ryzen 4 is like this fall.

    Borderlands 3

Disappointed that Moxxi's DLC from four months ago isn't included in the Epic Games Spring Sale. I could see the newest one not being discounted, but thought for sure they would drop the price of Moxxi's. Oh well, I've got plenty of time to wait it out!

    Doom Eternal

Took a break from it. Might pick it back up tonight. Sounds like I'm not the only one hating and/or having issues with the jumping puzzles. I've always been a KB/Mouse guy for these games, but feel like maybe it would work better on a game pad. Just really resent the inclusion of these forced...

    Doom Eternal

Really regretting I spent the money on this game. I was expecting it to be like Doom 2016, but with better graphics, yet ended up very disappointed. It reminds me of how they strayed too far from the proven formula as they did with Rage 2. Most frustrating is all the goddamned jumping puzzles...

    PC gamer magazine

I miss the old Maximum PC, particularly when it was called Boot. Sadly, the "instant news" of the internet has killed a lot of the old monthly periodicals I used to read. Call me over-the-hill, but I still prefer to hold a physical magazine in my hands. I can't stand trying to read a magazine on...

    Doom Eternal

Running great for me also, even on my admittedly older i7-3770. 1080 Ti still performing like a champ, enabling me to run it at 4K on Ultra Nightmare with no stuttering/hitches. Gameplay is definitely different from Doom 2016 and, for me at least, takes a little getting used to. Despite that...

    Rage 2

Really disappointed in this as it's nothing like the original Rage or Mad Max. Granted, the graphics are top-notch, but I hate all the tutorials forced on you and stupid projects you have to complete. I miss the old FPS where you could just jump in and play the whole game without any...

    Rage 2

Just started playing it this evening, but I wrapped up my play through of the original Rage last week. Clearly, the graphics of Rage 2 are much better (even with Rage's updated 16K textures at 4K) but if I didn't know better, there's no way I would have thought this was a sequel. To me, it...

    Rage 2

Reinstalled Rage today and edited the cfg file to increase the textures. Even at 4K the engine is showing its age, but its still fun nonetheless, and thankfully no texture pop-ins either. But, its funny how much I've gotten spoiled on newer games, as its not nearly as good as I remember it...

Advice Needed on Building an i9 9900K 5.0GHz System

I could use some advice from the [H]ard Crew regarding building an i9 9900K rig that runs at 5GHz. From what I've read, the 9900K runs extremely hot and needs water-cooling. Here's my list of main parts I'm considering and I'd appreciate any suggestions or recommendations. Gigabyte Z390 Aorus...

    DiRT Rally 2.0

I spent around 30 minutes fiddling with the settings trying to preserve my 4K resolution, but after turning off a lot of the effects, the visuals looked pretty flat and dull. So I gave in and dropped the resolution to 2560x1600 and turned everything back to Ultra. It looks great and I'm getting...

    DiRT Rally 2.0

Anyone else tried this today? I got it for $30 on CDKeys so it was a no-brainer. Really loving it and the graphics are fantastic. Unfortunately, at 4K Ultra I'm fluctuating between 40-50 FPS so it's not totally smooth. However, the eye candy is so nice I don't want to turn it down, so I'm going...
