They do seem like pretty good bang for my buck when it comes to those two options. Any specific suggestions? I'd like to reiterate how 'out of the laptop market' I have been :p
As far as refurbished goes, buying a woman something used is rarely ever a good option, from my past experience...
It's been awhile, been pricing things out and was hoping for some feedback on the following laptop from NewEgg and Tiger

Again...
So my girl friend is moving in, and she's big on interrupting my game time. She's a bit of a photo nut and loves the Sims 3. So I figured, getting her a laptop would buy me a few more minutes of game time a day:D
I've been out of the laptop game for awhile now, so I have absolutely no idea...
Holy hell thanks for the suggestions guys, this will keep me pretty busy over the next couple of days.
Hopefully it's not my apartment's shitty wiring, it only started happening this week. But I'll give you guys a heads up on the results.
Again, thanks a ton for all of the above...
I've been playing The Old Republic since release, and I've honestly never had this problem before this week.
I'll get these extreme lag spikes where my ping will jump into the thousands, and this spike lasts for a couple of seconds and ceases. This process begins again after a couple of...
lol
That's it, I can't come back to this thread anymore.
Every page has at least one post of mdk bitching about this game. The Bioware forums are just begging for you man.
It's a means to an end I guess. The PvP end game gear is equivalent to the HardMode FP's, so if you have a reliable guild that completes those on a nightly basis, you dont really need to PvP for the gear. But the way it's set up now, PvP is essentially broken and a monotonous grind.
99% of the people complaining about money issues, dont run their dailies. You cant expect to raid or do hardmodes without completing your dailies. It's very simple
Can anyone tell me how Valve seems to have gotten this 'saintly' image as the all-good and 'for the gamer' attitude? I've just noticed that anyone trying to imply Valve is a business rather than a charity just gets hammered for it.
A lot of people are. You can clearly tell this is evident by the server sizes of the PvP servers. Last I checked, Fatman is the only consistantly heavy PvP server I've seen every time I log in.
I enjoyed the atmosphere, but a couple of gripes:
The fucking Trash mobs are ANNOYING AS HELL. Especially if you're a tank. I get it, they're trying to add more strategy to the Flashpoint, but they're extremely annoying.
There's only one boss fight that involved strategy. the rest were...
Nobody's saying these are fabricated bugs. They're saying you spend too much time on the TOR forums, claiming these bugs are your own.
And they arent stealing anything from the people who are actually enjoying this game. :)
Damn man. Well atleast now you can shoot for the Battlemaster stuff
I just ditched my Champion chest piece because I scored a Columi one tonight, loving it so far.
Hopefully you have better luck with loot bags moving forward :)
I think I burned myself out on Skyrim when I got it release day, then played it constantly for about a month.
Now I play ToR in my free time. But I'm sure once I've burned myself out on ToR, I'll pick up Skyrim again
The end game, from my perspective, is really only enjoyed if you're in a guild, or people to play it with. I've run 3 hardmode FP's, but no ops yet because we're still leveling the rest of the guild. I have, however, seen plenty of people using the chat feature at the Imperial Fleet to LFG for...
Haha yeah it seems like a few people who have posted here are like that. Well, they wasted their $60, sucks for them?
Anyway, i just rilled an assasin :)
Yup. one big contradiction after another. It's alright though, we've moved on to better subjects. :p
I'm loving the different looks of the champion gear btw. The bonus are nice, but it's temping to switch out a piece for something else at the risk of losing the set bonus.
And yet, farming coms is a form of randomization. you contradict yourself in every whiny post you've had in this thread. A shame.
Anyway, glad to see they're working on the ability delay. Though it's weird that they're acting like they've just found out about it
