@stren
42 fans in total? How do you control those, i dont see a fancontroller in there?
You are either going to amaze me how you managed to control those fans and still keep it quiet , or you have a hearing problem. :P
Amazing work! Absolutely love the cable management.
Point is, when do you upgrade? Is your current card pumping out 20fps in de latest games. Sli'ing it will get you 35 at best. While the new card will do 40fps on its own. In this situation you will buy the new one.
If the old ones still gives 40, sli will get you 70fps, if a new card does 50...
Thats called pwm/speedfan, and setting up your hardware properly.
My system has 1x 135mm fan(psu fan),4 x 120mm and 4x 180mm, it set it up in tiers. Under 40 degree's none of em spin. meaning absolute zero noise (only have ssd's left in my rig)
And no flash or video will even bring anything...
First of all Thanks [H] for the nice review! I cant wait for the tri sli madness!
But the card fails imho, i expect a whole lot more power for that price. They could have gone completely nuts and make a kepler that uses hundreds of watts(300+) and keeps a healthy input output ratio. Thats worth...
As soon as i can afford a quad hd screen which is atleast 32inch+ for my pc, ill buy one, or 3 of em.
And what TV does, isnt really important. Its the porn industry who decides which format will make it and which one will not :P
Hahaha i had the same with my 2 gtx480's
I handed them to my wife, her hands are alot smaller then those 2 shovels i have. She managed to get those damn screws out in a few min, where i would still be trying if she didnt help.
Yeps, i payed 30 euro's per card more, to get 4GB instead of 2GB of memory.
So i spend 90 euro's extra, and i think i spent it will. But thats because of tri-sli and the high resolution. Anybody else would just have wasted money.
4GB is useless voor the very big majority of people. But it...
I would love to see those reviews @ 7680x1440. But i highly doubt it, even if you can get the monitors that cheap, you still need a tri-sli or better setup. All in all, you end up with a 5k machine. And only very few have those. :(
Still would like to see them go all out. :D
I have bought ap15's years ago, and heard a terrible whine, which others didnt hear(@ different speeds). I sold them, all buyers where very happy (i checked).
I game at that resolution, and if you even want to come close to max'ing graphics in games, you will need 3 highend videocards or more. I myself use 3x dell 2711 and its briliant :)
But its very expensive compared to a normal resolution like 1080p or1440p, be warned :P
