Yes I did setup passthrough on my bgw 210 with my asus ax-86u but not sure if I did it right sorry.

I do have internet though. Plus the speed I am suppose to get.

You have att so this is normal with att. It's commonly known as a 'double-nat'.

How do you prevent it or get rid of doubt nat please? If possible.
It's been a long time since I've messed with att, but I believe there was a 'passthrough' or 'dmz' mode that is almost a complete pass through. I say almost because in my experience it still did not pass through ipsec phase 2 packets so I had to get a block of static IPs to use my router that does ipsec tunnels.

But don't let double-nat scare you--if it's not causing issues and everything is working, I would just leave it be.

Ok thanks. It does not scare me just sucks I have to port forward dual times for port forwarding it work. :( Kinda of a pain in the butt.

Does adding custom DNS servers to my Asus AX-86U router actually used even sense it is double nat ? Like will it use the custom dns servers I put?

By the way is this what your talking about with passthrough or dmz mode ?

Yes, that is the pass through mode and what you should be doing, per att, when using your own router. I would suggest instead you bypass the RG if you want use your own router. There are multiple ways of doing so and this is widely discussed over on DSLR. Is there a reason why are you using the Asus? Also, the BGW210 is pretty old and unless there is something specific the Asus is bringing to the table it could just be easier to get the newer ATT RG called something similar to BGW320.

The link below should help.

The problem is that bypassing the att router has always been a cat and mouse game. If all you want is a dmz that works in 99% of cases, just use the att passthrough. Or even just leave the double nat as it doesn't hurt anything.
