Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader Owl Cat Games

Yeah I duno where you can preorder it besides their main site weather it's going to be on Steam or Epic or Standalone.

Not a huge fan of the cartoon aesthetic, but am interested in a CRPG based on Warhammer 40K, so I'll be checking it out.

I was happy with the Pathfinder games so this will be on my list to follow.

Beta is out now, still have to order from the dev website. So far, it loads up but not had time to play. Good music at least.

I totally forgot about this game I watched some Gameplay didn't think much of it. It's has a Steam Page unless I deleted last year I duno.

I just completed the tutorial segment and I gotta say, I'm loving it. Idk how it'll do for people who aren't into 40k, but for me the combination of CRPG and 40k is amazing. I've also enjoyed the 2 Kingmaker games, so hopefully Owlcat put the same level of effort in this.

The two Pathfinder games are the best isometric rpg's to come out except for the Divinity games. Owlcat knows how to do it right.

Well went ahead and bought the $50 pack. I shamelessly pirated the beta to play the tutorial and a bit past because 40k licensed games usually turn out to be half assed hack jobs and I don't gamble on them.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was a fantastic cRPG. I have no doubt Owlcat is going to produce a fantastic Warhammer 40K game. Mortismal was a big fan of Wrath of the Righteous and has been doing regular updates on Rogue Trader. His content on cRPGs is very solid and comprehensive. Definitely recommend checking out his channel...

So did the tutorial, again, and got the navigator. So far not too buggy. Some weird lag during scripted events is about the biggest thing. I do hope they upgrade the character models or something. Idk, the character creation/ character screens all look like they have vaseline smeared all over the models.

The weapons feel good so far. My guy's lasgun is fine, but the Sister's boltgun is just on another level. Especially in burst mode, goddamn. Throw on the heroic ability that lets her take a bunch of single shots that gib anything. It's good stuff.

Gotta say, the navigator/ leader companion is pretty nice. The amount of extra stuff she allows other party members to do is great. MC has a longlas now, and being granted an extra turn without limited attacks can get a bit crazy.

It's nice the enemy counts have been getting pretty big. Lots of time to exercise all your abilities and really rack up the kill count.

Comes out in just 3 weeks possibly the only game I'll buy until the End of the year. I'm hoping the story is more gripping than Wrath of the Righteous which is ok I suppose.
I had more fun with Pathfinder Kingmaker for the reason I think the Painted Maya backgrounds were better in the 1st game.

I don't think that Gears of War style Warhammer game is going to come out this year Space Marine 2 or whatever.

Yeah, its looking unlikely for SM2 this year. I'm not seeing anything about it in the news. I'm hoping RT does well. So far what little I've played of the beta is pretty good.

Comes out on December 7th next week.

The problem I have with Owl Cat games them seem too safe everything is rendered smooth I liked the 1st Pathfinder the 2nd one it's hard for me to pick up.
Hopefully this is more Dark and Gritty I know you have stuff like flamethrowers and stuff.
I would if bought a Beta Key but going to wait see how the Steam launch pans out.

Steam keys just dropped for anyone that signed up for beta access on the Owlcat website. Let's gooooooo!

Doh, GoG and Xbox users have to wait until Dec. 7th to get their keys. Just Steam and Epic are available right now.

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this I like 40K but I'm going to wait for reviews plus I can't play till next week since it lauches tomorrow.
Mechanicus is my favorite 40K game along with Darktide.

Do I Trust PC Gamer? Maybe they are too Sober at times and Brit twits but they could actually be right.
I'll see what happens when a few more reviews drop. I had no problem with Pathfinder but when they change how to Maps looked with the 2nd
game instead of using Maya to render it as a stationary map it jus wasn't as good. I hardly gave the 2nd game a change to due time and how boring it was at times.

When it comes to games like these, I tend to leave the reviews to the independents. Also those who specialize in CRPGs
