Hello,

I just got a Lian Li Lancool II (non mesh), The power supply mount holes are upside down. The only way I can mount the power supply is with the fan down. This is not good for airflow for the PSU.

Does anybody else have this case? Why did they design it this way?

Many cases flip the PSU wit the fan down. You only need about 1" or less of clearance for the PSU to be fine. It exhausts out the rear anyway, so not much room is needed. Aesthetically people find this more pleasing, and has been a "feature" for many years. Just mount it that way, it will be fine.

Yep you will be fine I have that case and its all good.

I 100% recommend you get the new mesh panel for it. The case with the old style panel has poor airflow. The mesh front makes a HUGE difference. Panel is $35 on newegg

Interesting, I've never had a case where the power supply mounts down. There is plenty of room on top for circulation. Doesn't make sense to me.

Ok thanks. I have added two fans to the front for a total of the 3 fans in front also.

Well its the closed off front of the old style that is the issue regardless of the fans. Check Gamers Nexus review they get into details about it. Its a great case though as both my son and I are using it right now.

I thought you would want the PSU mounted with the fan down. It looks like there is mesh underneath so it gets airflow, but this way your PSU is drawing from outside the case and not from the hot air inside it.

Entirely depends on where the case is. If you have it on the floor, you'd definitely not want it to be sucking from the bottom. It'd either be pulling through carpet or sucking up dust on a hard floor.
