[H] Stock Alerts, Tips & Tears for Nvidia, AMD, Intel, PS5, XBOX

Best Buy dropped an evga 1650 super for $200 best deal on a lower mid range card I’ve seen in months.

And it’s gone
I didnt know they were even still making those cards with the 3000 series out now.
That was what I wanyed in my Dell originally

I've had bots buy a couple of my CPUs on Ebay. As soon as I pressed the button to publish the listing---they were bought.
Do you mind saying what kind? Is is true the eBay/Payal fees are steep right now or did I just read incorrectly someone's message?

They were Intel i7 9700 non-K CPUs.

Ebay fees vary depending upon price and also item categories and also if you don't have any free listings to redeem, etc. Paypal hasn't changed as far as I know. All in all, selling older CPUs and other small hardware has been minor on fees.

Unless it gets voided, snailbot just got me my first 3080 strix from Newegg

About to be frickin 24 hours that my order is still stuck in

“processing” and hasn’t shipped. Hoping it doesn’t get flagged or voided.

My card was charged the full amount yesterday though! So hopefully that’s a good sign and they are just lagging

Got the rejection email. 0-50 or whoever the fuck long shuffle has been going on. Lol.

I'm not 100% surprised they're swooping up 8 core CPUs quickly. I searched for Canadian websites including eBay for 4 core CPUs and there are practically NONE under $200 Canadian (even down to the 3000 series and 4000 Intel Core).

Got my rejection as well. Too bad! We see the occasional winner here on the forums, but I think they must not be getting these into the shuffle in very high numbers.

Shuffle is random though. I think after 2-3 times same people shouldn’t get selected. There are people who have been selected like 4-5 times but then again I don’t wanna hate so kinda split on if they should be blocked after 2-3 times.

Seems too good to be true... it was still available after 5 minutes, glitch maybe?
Nope, it seems AMD might have actually put pressure on Digital River to close the exploit (API) that bots had been using to clean out AMD stock in 3 seconds.

The drop last Thursday made a pretty big stink on r/AMD reddit and maybe the right people took notice. cc: FrgMstr. Regardless, people in various Discords today were whining that their bots couldn't steal everything again. Good riddance.

I have been selected 5x. Each time I sold the items at cost to a friend or friend of a friend.

Well if they fixed it, drops are every two Thursdays roughly? I work with sensitive stuff at work so I’m not really on the web with my work machine...

I'm probably like 4/32 on the shuffles so it does happen, just very long shots. And no, anytime I ever won is when I only used my primary NE account that's been active for like 15 years now. Got nothing today though.

If only where I worked had decent cell service. It's not fast even if I go outside, and if we're in the middle of something, I can't just get up and walk out, lol.
lol where do you work? No wifi there?

My NE acct is from 2008 I think

Haha I saw that on the snail monitor discord! Victory for the humans, I finally managed to get a card too - only took 3 months of trying.

I have 107 orders from Newegg starting in 2001, and have ordered pretty much regularly over that time. (Even something this 2021 year already)

I haven’t won a single Newegg shuffle and I’ve entered in most (but has missed at least two I think due to work, and skipped any that were only AMD because I haven’t wanted any AMD stuff - especially overpriced AMD stuff as of late)

So I mention this to say there’s no favoritism happpening to select winners here for repeat customers that I can see. It’s just luck.

I'm curious about this. When do you enter? Is it right away when it goes live, or just at some point later during the window?
Maybe Newegg is tossing the entries from the first minute or so thinking those are basically all bots, and in reality they are real people just trying to get in early.
I'm not sure it's completely random.
Congrats to you for winning, I am not going to be upset with winners. It just seems odd that one person can win 5 times but we have multiple others who have entered 30 times and got nothing.

It's random luck. Nothing more to it. There is no selective screening based on anything Newegg is doing. Guy is just very lucky.

I enter sometimes early and others late. I believe it is truly all random.

I think you have to put it in perspective. There are probably shipments of maybe 200 cards of each. Then half of those they "pass on the savings" of some nonsense bundle. Then maybe you have 100,000 people putting in for 200 cards. You're not going to win very often. If you're picking only the lower cost items, your pool of purchasers increases.

There are probably a lot more cards than that, but you are correct that there are probably at least 100 entries for each card they have available, especially since the scalpers and miners never stop putting in for them no matter how many times they win.

I've just been trying to get a 5900x/5950x for a few months. It used to be no one would buy the $500+ CPUs; now that's all anyone seems to want.

it's gotta be way more than 100 entries per card. But even then, multiple people winning a handful of times on the same account and others winning zero, is highly suspect. And by that I mean, something is up with Newegg's system.
