All they have done for me, is keep me from buying with those kind of prices. My 1080 works just fine for now and will just wait out this insanity.
 
$660 for the 3070. mmk. fine.

I'm having a hard time with with $1200 for the 3080 and MoBo that is just going to sit on a shelf.

I just want to go to 1440 from 1080. Path of Exile and World of Warcraft. 3070 may be ok.
 
I couldn't click on enter the shuffle even though there were a few minutes left. I guess they already reached the limit?

So I went and joined ATR-STONKS. I clicked on a few choices in #notification-selection. Is that all? Would I get a notification after that?
I also set notifications to none on text-channels.

I'm as shocked as you are. I literally woke up to go take a leak, was going to go back to sleep. Then heard the alert from Falcodrin's stream. Rushed over, placed a 5950x order in, and not even at a rapid pace, forgot my password for the first few attempts on best buy. Although already had all my billing info saved. Placed order for the CPU. Then waited 5-10 minutes while I thought if I should just jump on the 3090. Then did so. Love the anti-bot practice bestbuy has in place. Actually worked for a legitimate buyer...lol.

So a better solution, probably, would be hey you got one in your cart, it can be picked up at this store, enter your CC info and we'll alert you when it will be ready. Like you know... any other online purchasing company, you'll get it when it's ready unless you're willing to pay more to have it expedited.

Oh yea, I had a 3080 XC pre-tariff ($760ish) and couldn't verify my account. Turns out there was some odditiy with BB and Edge (Chromium), and Firefox worked fine.

Yeah it was on the Discord ATR-Stonks Channel announcement. I tried the FE of 3060 ti, 3070, and 3080 and all were sold out. The buttons never turned yellow for me. The 3090 did, and I actually got to the screen of Submitting the Order, but then I hesitated for literally 2 minutes and it was gone.

Which GPU do you want to buy, 3080FE?

I meant to ask if there was like a ~1 day heads up. At least it was reliably dropping on Tuesdays so I don't need to get up early every day.

I want the elusive Strix 3070/3080 white. The only real way to get one, other than being ridiculously lucky or rich, is to buy an in-demand 3080 and trade for one.

Yep I'd recommend people not use oddball browsers, VPNs, proxies, script blockers on sites like Newegg or BestBuy while trying to get one of these drops.

No sir, the announcement was made roughly 10 minutes before the drop goes live. At that point you have time to go to the bathroom, bring your drink, stretch a bit, get your BestBuy account ready (login, check/set your default payment method, check your shipping address), and it is go time. Open up all the products you want to buy in separate tabs, and wait for the Buy button to turn yellow.
 
Man today must be my lucky day with BB. After nothing ever being available in my area after trying tons of days with other drops. Was able to nab both a RTX 3090 FE and PS5 disk today...and they both could be shipped, did not have to go to store to pick up. Already got a tracking number for the 3090.
 
I'm suddenly hopefulish. I've gotten more stock-alerts in the past few days than I'd gotten in the 6 weeks prior combined. Haven't been actually able to nab anything, but the blood seems to be pumping...

And this is the insane hatred I feel towards Best Buy (not you BTW, don't worry :)). But for me "sorry not there, sorry not there, sorry we can't ship this item to your location" meanwhile wherever you happen to live, shipping is totally doable.

Strangely this is the first time I have seen the shipping option, in the past for these items they have always forced pick up. That is if it was in available in my location, which it never was.

I mean it totally said it for me too, even went so far as to show a date "receive by Jan 24..." as if this card is actually so close to my location that it will take 2 days to get here including packing it up. But when I tried to check out with that as an option the big red box popped up "We don't ship ... in your area"
 
I was surprised to see a BestBuy drop on a bloody Friday; thought these were mostly Tuesdays? Too bad that I missed it, was asleep :D . Guess i'll go back to watching for 5950X and possibly 6800XT / 6900XT that aren't insanely priced on Amazon and elsewhere for now.
 
Geez Bestbuy is fast. Placed my 5950x and 3090 order earlier. No info on the 5950x yet, but the 3090 has shipment info done, and ups just sent me a tomorrow delivery confirmation with signature required. Most likely going to stay in its box till I get my 5950 though..
 
Hmm. I already got an e-mail saying I wasn't selected for the shuffle today. I thought it didn't pick till like 7pm EST. My wife hasn't gotten that e-mail yet though...

After you entered the shuffle today they sent you an email saying they would make the selection and send out notifications at 3:30pm PST (for today’s lottery, at least).
