No, we are waiting from our cars lined up next to do the sidewalk. There is no fire lane and management gave up permission to not only park but leave to BIO and or get food. Everyone has been chill about it.

If you or anyone else changes their mind, again, be there at midnight. 2080 ti performance for $499 + tax.

which AIB cards are going to be available?...pick one up for me :D

So what your saying is microcenter will have them and Best Buy won’t. God I miss having a local microcenter, Best Buy is horrible in comparison.

No clue. It probably doesn't matter which card to most. EVGA and Asus are very good. RTX 3070 is bottom tier so I don't think it matters. I wonder if manufactures bother with custom PCB designs? I'm guessing they are all going to be reference boards with the performance being super close to one another.

performance will basically be the same but as with the 3080 AIB cards they differ in terms of temps, fan noise levels etc...I prefer an Asus, Gigabyte or MSI

It matters if you plan to water cool because you'll need to match up the AIB design with the correct water block.

I'd take an EVGA, ASUS TUF, or FE board preferably.

From what I’ve seen the EVGA XC3 has the largest and some of the earliest water blocks. I believe EKWB, Optimus, Watercool, and EVGA themselves are making waterblocks for them. Alphacool’s reference cooler I believe also lists the XC3 cards as compatible. Next I would say it’s the TUF. I have hardly seen any FE blocks.

Corsair has an FE block.

I don't remember when my sign up was because EVGA'S site was a mess at launch day ..so I'm going to guess it was a day or two after launch day and my email came at 15:01 eastern

you know you can look and it will tell you exactly when you signed up for the notify. I signed up for an XC3 card on 9/18 and haven't gotten a notify yet.

My EVGA 3080 XC3 arrives today. I signed up on 9/16 around 11 AM PST.

Queues are moving at a snail’s pace. Every hour longer that someone waited to sign up can be a 1-2 week longer wait at this rate. If you signed up the next day there is probably a good chance you won’t get a chance to buy one by the end of this year depending on how spread out the sign ups are.

Minutes sometimes mean weeks. I had one preorder with a vendor that got fulfilled two weeks ago (completed order at 9:01am). A friend who completed her order for the same card, same vendor, 9:02am is still waiting and likely won't see the card for another two weeks.

That’s crazy, 9/16 is just getting fulfilled. What a shit show

I just got my EVGA notification email for the 3080FTW3. Placed my order. Should come in next week.

I do not exactly remember when I signed up through their "Notify Me" but it I'm pretty sure it was during launch week.

I got my email from EVGA yesterday for the 3080 FTW3 ultra. Signed up on the 17th at about 947am EST.

They sent out a few more emails today as well, so they are about 3 hours into day one (9/17) for notifications/sales of their most expensive 3080. EVGA jacob confirmed that the biggest drops of the week havent happened yet. (Thursday when 3070 sales go live?)
I have a discount code in my signature line if anyone wants to save on their card when they get their email.

I signed up on 9/17 @ 11am est so I'm hoping to get an email sometime next week if everything keeps tracking as it is now.

If they're still working through Day 1 notifications I won't hold my breath on getting one. I hit the "notify" button on 10/05/2020.

Oh they're only up to like 9:30am 9/17 based on the community spreadsheet. I hit the notify button on 10/5 as well, I'm not counting on getting it before cyberpunk even with the delay. Hell at this rate I doubt I'll get it this year. nvidia isn't going to own up to the crappy production, retailers go weeks without getting anything, this is probably one of the worst product launches I've seen in a while just purely regarding availability.

Maybe folks will buy AMD and shorten the list for those hodling out for an nvidia card.
There will definitely be people who buy AMD cards that had planned to buy Ampere. The question is how much of an impact in demand will it cause.

Doubtful even if you bought an AMD card you'd have to remove yourself from the list. Why would they do that if they could scalp a 3080? And most people prob won't be nice enough to remove themselves from the list and would just remove the notification. I dont have faith that people will be honest enough to remove themselves or not take advantage by scalping.

not everyone wants to spend the money and go through the hassle, or not everyone has the money sitting around for 2 cards. Personally, I wouldn't want the hassle of dealing with ebay or craigslist people for a $1000+ item unless it's a car.

Even if they arent scalping it and dont buy it they are probably going to be too lazy to remove themselves from the list. Which means each person who does that imposes an extra delay on the next person in line. Meh...still not gonna see one of these cards until 2022 ;p.

Just watched the amd broadcast. Given the 6800xt and 6900xt level of performance, I will buy whatever AMD or nvidia card I can actually purchase first. They are all good, but the 3090 is a moot point at $1500 now given the 6900xt price of 999.

I'm personally waiting for actual reviews and benchmarks.

In the $700 performance bracket either the 6800XT or the 3080 are solid choices. At the $1000+ performance bracket there is little reason to choose a 3090 over a 6900XT.

I'm going to wait for reviews and benchmarks, but might upgrade my 3080 to a 6900XT.

OK, a 3080 with more compute, 20GB, and a $999 price tag is making more sense now. Might want to market it as a 3090LE rather than 3080Ti.
