So I'm working my over night shift and it's a little cold but I don't want to turn the heat on as I don't like the first burn smell. Why was my first thought to turn off my underv volt and run Heaven benchmark instead of grabbing the little space heater in the closet?? Probably my overall laziness but I'm glad to say it works just fine as a stand in space heater.

Don't bother with Heaven - do something productive with the energy use and contribute to folding at home

I encourage this kind of behavior lol

A couple times last winter I used the Metro Exodus coal-shoveling minigame to crank those Vega watts, heavy bolt on the keyboard to keep Artyom shoveling while I did other stuff.

Winter of 2016-2017 I left my lab computer (Phenom, GTX460) running Asteroids @ Home all season to keep the workshop warm.

Said it before I'll say it again, if you think about it abstractly enough computers are just resistive heaters that happen to be unusually good at math ;)

I developed an illness that flipped my body temp. I was previously comfortable mid 60’s with shorts and a T. Now I’m wearing sweats and a thermal shirt with my thermostat set for extra toasty.

I’ve been folding on the 3080 and it’s great. Give me all the Nvidia and Intel things.
