I was able to get the XC3 in my cart, but the bots must have been slamming the website because I couldnt get to checkout. By the time that page loaded it was OOS.

Bots win again.

Same exact thing happened here. Got it in my cart, by the time the site un-fucked itself it was gone.

The Nvidia site just freaked me out....I refreshed and it moved the 3080 to another spot on the list....down to like the 5th position from the #1 position on their shop list.....wonder if this means we'll see 3090's before we'll see a 3080 restock =P

For those rushing to get a 3080, check out the HWUB vids below.

These guys basically drop so many hints about the inevitable 20 gb cards and even directly say, "just chill out and play it cool" until after AMD reveals Big Navi and then they mention NVIDIA possibly dropping the MSRP on the 10 GB cards and slotting the 20 GB in their place or slightly more expensive to compete against Navi. They also touch on what MLID said with NVIDIA promising low MSRP cards (e.g. $699) and never finding those cards but instead finding 3080s at $750-$800 means they will start adjusting their price/performance charts in their reviews even after the first day--glad a big reviewer is catching on and repeating what MLID said. FrgMstr Looks like MLID's statements are being repeated now by legit reviewers.

Anyway:
About 20 GB cards and availability timestamp:

Price with cost per frame discussion (Steve echoes what MLID has said):

I find HWUB's honesty quite refreshing, these guys aren't afraid to say stuff vs Tech Jesus who pretends to care but just skirts around issues to stay in NVIDIAs good graces. Then there's Jayz2WorthlessCents who basically just gives Jensen fellatio on camera and apologizes for NVIDIA at every turn.

Apparently EVGA is manually reviewing all of the cards that were sold today for bots. According to Jacob from EVGA, the cancelled orders will be put back up on the store as they are found, although may not be immediate.

I would be curious to know what that yields, though I suspect we will never actually know. Might be they just get in more stock later this week (as they already said) and the "caught" order stock just sort of blends into the woodwork.

Yeah his tweet wasn't very clear. I first assumed he meant the cards would be put on the store as soon as they were determined to be from bot orders. But now that I re-read it he said would be put back into stock rotation...whatever that means.

Yep saw their video earlier. Love their honesty and they always call it like it is as facts present themselves. JayzNoCents didn’t even mention average numbers this time. He is so far up nvidia’s ass it’s a joke. His video fast tracked through charts with no comments and said it’s a whole resolution faster rofl and went on to talk praise of the cooler and never looked back. He is an Nvidia homer all the way through.

I wish they would do that every damn week during mid-week madness. These guys have been scalping the $80 GTX 980 TIs for months and months now.

Wonder how they're going to review the orders, if someone hits the site, adds the card to cart, and checks out with all information within 5 seconds or less = bot?

That probably the best indicator. Taking a look at one bot code, it uses Twilio so probably an easy check on phone number to see if phone numbers belongs to Twilio. Other checks is to see if headless browser (no UI) was used, request ip address matches location and so on.

Thought it was just me. Unlike previous launches I think the reviewers need to stop acting like they are apart of Nvidia's marketing team with Linus/Jay being the worst. It causes some of the launch day problems when you have reviewers doing some pretty ridculous reviews/pre-revews in order to gin up demand for a product that doesn't need it. All launches are kinda rough in the beginning but this is getting ridiculous.
There's videos with no benches, a plethora of videos questioning the need for game consoles but somehow never include the Switch, and much more. All of this creates unnecessary hype.

Everyone knows the card is coming. We don't need this extra crap making the situation worse. I miss the no-nonsense aspect of this site. No hype. Just benches.

I think [H] did like the drama sometimes, but it was pro-consumer drama. Calling out (testing) the RX480 crossfire claim, GPP, ect. Like a good site should lol. Who has the balls to do that anymore? Probably no one.

I realize the 3090 is a bad deal... but I feel like it's going to be worse than the 3080 since the qty will likely be way worse (nearly full die).

Evga Should send out send out a code to some of there loyal customer's for some that are in stock. Been buying Evga for probably 14 years now. Hell even if I'm not on that list I think it would a cool thing to do.

I like that idea.. I am waiting for a 3090 code please :)

One of my 3080 distill in stock monitors went off while I was sitting at my PC this morning doing e-mail -- but before I could even click the page, it was sold out again.

even 30 second in-stock monitors aren't going to help us here boys.

You're whining and you're just mad because you're on the outside looking in. Get some more self awareness and learn how marketing works. You are just an end user consumer. You have to be worth a lot more money to Nvidia for them to care.

JayZ and Linus are tabloidal celebrities of the gaming hardware world. You're a sucker if you keep up with what they're doing. Don't be a sucker

If you looked at what I was quoting you would know that I wasn't whining. Instead I was highlighting what some other reviewers have noticed and spoke upon.

Amazon had the ASUS TUF 3080 "in stock" for a few seconds today. Few people on Reddit got an order in. Doesn't ship until October 16th apparently.

I think Newegg may have had the ASUS Strix in stock today as it went from auto-notify to out of stock.
https://www.newegg.com/asus-geforce...g/p/14-126-457?item=14-126-457&Tpk=14-126-457

My distill monitor is in error now, until I update it.

I managed to snag an xbox series x pre-order on amazon. I wasn't planning on even buying one - at least not at launch - but this 3080 fiasco has driven me mad. I also took advantage of the 3 years of game pass ultimate for ~$150 that's in the hot deals forum now.

So I'll have a xbox series X and unlimited games from game pass for the next three years. Frankly that deal really puts PC gaming on its back foot. The good news is I can still use the Game Pass Ultimate on PC too.

Got the same EVGA card on Amazon. It's the one I wanted so worked out perfectly. Amazon had the ASUS TUF on sale briefly earlier today as well. I had Distill set up to watch for changes to any of the "Currently unavailable" text on the page. It pinged and I very quickly hit buy now :)

This is the page I was watching - has all of the 3080s listed

if I can't snag one, that's perfectly fine but if there is no food and water,

All those show as images to me - how did distill manage to pull the text?

I used this JavaScript selector:
document.querySelectorAll(".style__oos__2w3vg")

CSS selector would probably work also with just ".style__oos__2w3vg"

This will work as long as Amazon doesn't change the name of the CSS class. But probably unlikely in the foreseeable future.

K, only the second time I've ever used distill - still fighting with that. It works on each individual card's page, but still throws an error on the "all cards" page. Just TimedOut. I can see it open the page, but I must not understand where to put that (I selected all the individual card components, and then set to that javascript selector).

Ah, open the selector panel and pick "JavaScript" from the Selected dropdown. Then paste in the selector above in the textbox. Don't need anything else in the textbox, just the one command:
document.querySelectorAll(".style__oos__2w3vg")

Edit:

And here's a selector for the Best Buy 3080 page. Will chime if any of the disabled "Sold Out" buttons go away.

document.querySelectorAll(".btn-disabled")

Even doing that, still get timedout. Meh. Individual card pages are working. Unless you can export yours.

Let me try that. I simplified them to use CSS. If you edit one and go to "Show Config" under source you can paste these in. I used the Chome extension BTW, not the site.
