What is Official 3080 Sales Time For Thursday?

I thought something like this was going to happen make them look like they were giving all this performance an half the price just to get you hyped maybe sell a few an hold until navi an see what kinda prices an performance AMD comes with then adjust accordingly.

kinda hard being worst, on the 3090, Nvidia is actually making a lot of money so I expect them to be more in stock, pushing the price up maybe for the rest of the so called product line.

Same here, click email link -> Out of stock and a bunch of AIB Check Availability which goes to Out of Stock on seller sites. Nvidia sucks at this pretend care stuff.
 
Stock is dropping at my local MC in Parkville. Only 8 left of the evga model. Thinking of ditching work to get one.

Meh fuck it. It is down to 3 now. I am about 45mins away from MC. Won't make it probably.

The price and performance isn't changing. It'll eventually be in stock. The demand is insane for the 3080.

I'd be very surprised if you see any $699 cards other than the cheapest of the cheap. Most are going to be in the $750-800+ range for 10GB cards.

"Eventually" sounds like it's going to be a month from now at the earliest.

they can adjust their price? Why else would we see $1500 on the nvidia site for a 3080? we see $699 an AMD comes an flops then bam $1200 like 2080, AMD drops a bomb an cheaper then lower the price an drop an uncut card.

I've never seen nVidia or Bestbuy change from the MSRP. Even during the mining surges.
 
I didn't even bother. Giving this new generation a few months so the bugs can be worked out then getting the 3090ti.
 
Eh I wanted the gigabyte aorus 3080 Master anyway. Wonder when that's releasing.
 
Dang, EVGA's website is just outright down this morning.

So, did anyone actually manage to buy one, or did they all get bought up by bots to scalp on ebay for $3K?

Who knows man. I doubt any of these cards are going oversea by boat so with air flights being available daily I'd expect to see brands trickle in. It'll be like the 2080 launch. Random hell throughout the day wondering which random card will be in stock for 5 minutes.

Might be time to auto-notify almost every 3080 on newegg then, terrific.
