Pricing is getting crazy again

That not newegg. Third party so not sure if that is any surprise. 3rd party will always charge more if main source is out if demand is strong.

prices have slightly gone up...3700X was down to as low as $260 a month ago...average was in the $270 range...now it's $285

I bought 2, one @ $270 and a second @ $260 with free game. Was a great deal, saw the other day they were creeping back up.

Exchange rate, dollar is weaker. Anything that is in globally short supply will get more expensive, because it can be sold for more elsewhere

I would think as we get closer to a Zen3 launch, Zen2 prices will slowly climb as the supply drops.

I don't know many they had on hand but I grab one just to see how it preforms as I wanted to test it with 3600Mhz memory speed on B550m

We're not the only country doing that though.

Absolutely not, it’s just relative.

It’s pretty much as simple as can’t print trillions of dollars and not devalue your currency. It’s just what that currency is relative to and what the goods are. US shares have done crazy well out of it (yay), some USD anchored commodities have too (tempered by global demand)

Its just a reality that anything that in an international market, an increase in money supply, will devalue it’s worth which lowers purchasing parity relative to others. That’s literally what purchasing parity is.

its not been that bad, the US is pretty self sufficient on a bunch of stuff, it helps exports and has benefited from decades of being the reserve currency which holds it up during times like this. You just get edge case weirdness where inflation kicks in sooner. In areas a where the global economy just stopped, inflation will be slower / negative because demand fell of a cliff. For some things, especially where supply is constrained things, it will causes greater and faster price rises.

I got it today and drop it in for some default gaming and it runs great .. then this MSI B550m Mortar has a Game Boost in the bios and I applied it and this is what it said .

I don't know what that will look like in gaming with the stock cooler lol ..

We can print trillions because we're the world's reserve currency, that's pretty much the only reason.

I don't think it's the fault of the dollar. We are seeing price hikes too, while we have Euro, in anything PC related compared to pre-covid19 and even during covid-19. The 3600 got + EUR10 in Amazon, in the last 2 months, i 'd say.

Smartest loan terms I ever heard of. Have to be careful on the political stuff ofc (hai Kyle) but economically, it was a *genius* part of Breton Woods.

To euro, price hikes because of limited stock is definitely a thing too, looked at a webcam recently . On balance though, stuff is going up a bit because of exchange rate. Plus AMD is absolutely smashing it with CPU's. Anything from here will just be because AMD can. Anything that isn't stock constrained I think will be fine. Great time to buy a car, not so much the things that they're selling all they can make.

Why would anyone buy one then if the price increases again and Zen 3 is gonna be released? I can see it for now as it's supposedly 2 months away at least.

Some people need a CPU right now? B350/X370 don't look like they will work with Zen3, so the end of the line for them is Zen2.

All Nations are printing like nuts,SINCE THE 09 CRASH, in a mad race to the bottom. No matter all countries $$$ are soon to be replaced with a single digital currency, controlled by the U.N. / World Bank / W.H.O.

Cannot wait for Zen 3 to arrive at retail.

What does zen 3 have to do with the new world order of tyranny though? Not sure of your connection.

When the 3700x hits rock bottom again .. remember the cooler.. as it cost around $50 and I like it myself with plans to move it over to Zen 3 cpu budget build , but many ask which cpu to pair with the 3080 RTX as they plan going PCI Express 4.0 before Zen 3 release .. I watched youtuber Bitwit doing a build around the price of the yet released video card .. the 3700x was cpu of choice and he said your lucky to reach 4.2Ghz gaming .. lol @ that .. but that will drive prices up on Mobo's and cpu's with just Nvidia's new PCI Express 4.0 video cards and Intel left out in the cold as AMD is where they really need to be with old stock .

Also Nvidia will need to write better support for AMD chipsets in there drivers and that's like taking a knee to AMD and asking will you marry me ..

Here is a 3700x in PCI Express 3.0 and the RX 5700

This should keep the 1% low frame rates up, which is where you're really going to feel problems if they're there, so it's not too big of a deal. Yeah, if you're pushing for higher frame rates, you're want something that could clock higher like a 10700K, but whether that even matters will depend on a lot of different factors like the games being played, settings used, and even whether gaming is done competitively.

Really shouldn't be much chipset involvement here. PCI Express goes straight to the CPU for graphics, and it's pretty well standardized. We're not going back to the days of VIA chipsets messing with graphics and storage and sound!

AMD seems to have gotten that all pretty much locked down as of the 3000 series CPUs.

I managed to snag a used like new ryzen 3600 on amazon for $105 shipped, I was gonna get a 3700x but not for almost $200 more. I'll run this 3600 til the next socket change. Time to start saving my pennies for the next rig

There's a 3700x on fac book near me for $200. I picked mine up new for $250 and my son's for $260 with ac: Valhalla included. That said, I think prices are going to be weird until zen3 drops; they most likely moved production over either completely or at least mostly, so lower quantities is going to mean higher prices.

You think that's bad? My Seasonic 850W Power supplu originally cost me just shy of $100 2 years ago. Now the 550W sells for that!

Those are good prices. Facebook by me is full of old overpriced stuff that no one wants to buy.

The new ones I got from Newegg. Facebook MP is very hit or miss by me. I live in a rural area so there isn't typically to much very close (I search an 80 mile radius), so it's normally a bit of a drive if I do find anything. Otherwise, not to many people in this area are compute savvy, so not to much competition in the immediate area, lol.

Facebook mp is such a shit show here. Only time it works is when you want to sell something because people overprice everything so it makes your listing look good.

it’s happening to everything, from keyboards to psus on down.

The amount I just spent on a Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 12 is just frightening.

I still have one 3600 on the shelf that I pulled from the B550m as I am playing with the Ryzen 3 3100 .. Anyone play Warframe as I think it was free to download on steam and very fun and good looking game for no more vram then it used and good bye to $105 as it's very capable at gaming if you need a quick fix .

Get ready for negative interest rates !

I listed a Ryzen 5 3600 for $125 on and an RX 570 8Gb for $100 FB market place .. man I feel like a drug dealer with all the hits in messages on them .
