Ah, here we go, I was wondering when this would show up again. Not going to bother arguing since you clearly will never be convinced off your point of view but, whatever, let reality speak for itself.
Windows 10 is more or less free now. (legally) All you really need is a legal Win 7 copy, you can still upgrade for free. Of course these are incredibly cheap if you don't already have one. This is a loophole that they may not be advertising, but are obviously not hiding. And then you've got all the mini versions of windows now that are completely free...remember how much Windows CE cost back in the day?!
They aren't going to start moving in the opposite direction with so many other free OSs available these days that are more capable than ever.
