Detroit: Become Human

If you replay it does the flowchart display your previous choices?

Picked this up the other day, finally had a chance to play it last night. Game looks fantastic, having a blast.

The demo does. So I assume the full game would as well.

how is the game compared to the demo?

i really liked the demo but felt VERY short.

I really love this, but Quantic Dream games always make me feel messed up at the end. Made a bad decision too I regret.

The game is a blast, I'm really enjoying it. I just made my list of demands and I'm curious to see how the rest of the story will play out.

I keep going wishy-washy with Conner. I'm playing as if he's conflicted inside, becoming a deviant but at the same time, going against that and sticking to the mission when it comes to his conversations and some actions.

I took screenshots and turned up the contrast. Just a couple. I think they should of included a photo mode like all other games.

I liked the demo because it was short and I feel like it'll be easy to replay with more precision next time around without taking tons of time; I'm about ready to buy the game since it's now $40 from the PS store (I prefer to buy digital).

Two things that bug me in the demo:
- No running?
- I invert the Y axis for head and aiming movement, but the game carries that over into areas where you're dragging the cursor around a static investigation scene.

Edit:
I bought the game. I might be 30-50% through it and I like it because each scenario is fairly short; I have an infant to care for and numerous other distractions, so the way this game is split up makes it easy to work through. I guess that I already became human in one scenario, but now I'm wondering what I could have done different. I'm going to do as the game advises and play straight through the game once, then I'll go back and replay individual scenarios for the different outcomes.

These Quantic Dream games are a nice break from the usual stuff. Maybe I'll eventually get around to playing Beyond: Two Souls.

Finished the game today, I enjoyed it, I enjoyed being put in tough situations, but I got myself into a bad situation by making snap decisions. I'm not sure that I can make the outcome to my liking.

I do believe that the androids should be suppressed, I believe that it's a fault of the developers for allowing them to develop emotions. I'm going to replay the game, but I'd be surprised if I could make the androids completely passive and then have Connor simply find what is causing a deviation in android behavior and it being corrected.

You can go back to any scene after you beat the game and make different choices.

I did this because I had an almost perfect run and made a poor choice at the last scene.

Won't give away any spoilers, but it's a Quantic Dream game so be prepared that any character can die at any time and that's it.

This is free on PS+ this month. If you didn't pull the trigger before, it's hard to argue with free...at least for subscribers.
I love how much of a change of pace this is, and the ability to go back and replay certain scenes is VERY welcome.
Somehow on my first attempt I managed to die in spite of a 99% chance of success :p

Yeah, well worth playing. I'm waiting for the PC version to do another play-through.

Graphically it's pretty amazing. The confined spaces allow them to display a crazy amount of detail all of the time. The only knock on it is the 30fps framerate and occasional bogdown which the PC version would hopefully fix.

I picked it up on PS+ so I'll give it a try at some point here soon. PS+ overall hasn't been that great, not sure that I will renew after this year. I mainly only had it for Monster Hunter World, but I moved to PC for that.

They've had some great games, and I enjoy that they put out the lesser known games. For example, Horizon Chase Turbo, I would've never paid for, but I enjoy it.

Yeah, I thought they've gave out enough good games to justify the $40/year I've got it for every Black Friday. I have a good backlog to play through now just from PS+. I still need to finish Yakuza Kiwami that they gave away several months back.

I got Detroit at launch just because I had a $60 BB card to burn, but wish I would have held out on it since I only played through it once and never went back to try other things. It's a great game and worth playing through for sure, but wasn't quite worth the $60 to me. My wife enjoyed watching me play through it at least and that's rare for her.

I wanted to too, but that's not going to happen with the epic store getting involved. They are not getting any money from me, unless the game becomes available from alternative sources (I don't mean launcher).

I completed this over the weekend. Like the previous QD efforts, it was a cool experience. Like the others, it isn't much of a game. There's are pretty clear passive and aggressive paths and most everything in-between just pushes you toward one or the other. I got the 2nd happiest ending on my first go-round and was luckily able to get the best one after tweaking a decision at the Jericho chapter. FYI - Play dead, y'all.
After you win I kinda wish they'd let you warp back to every individual decision in the game rather than maybe 1-2 per chapter. There are lots of moments where you want to see "what if," but it's pretty tedious to actually go back and watch them Especially with PS4 load times and unskippable scenes. At least the QTE's are super forgiving!

Glad I played it and really glad it was available for free via PSN. I'd say the production value is a 10, but as a game it's only like a 5.

never played any of their games but I hear the same thing about all Quantic Dream titles- high marks for cinematic presentation but gameplay falls short

They're kind of like a modern take on 1990's point and click adventure games. You're just looking around for objects you can interact with. You either press a button or move the right stick in a circular motion. Conversations are along the lines of Mass Effect as far as having 2-5 choices available.
There's no action element at all. "Action" sequences are just QTEs.
Oh yeah, it's worth mentioning - D:BC uses motion controls on occasion. They're VERY hit and miss. Sometimes they work great, but some of the tilting ones barely work at all.

I'm curious how much better looking (if any) the PC version is vs. the PS4 Pro one. In spite of the game running at 30fps, the animation is really smooth and the detail is up there with the best I've ever seen. After the first 10 minutes I didn't even notice the FPS.

I think it's capped out at 60FPS from what I seen on Youtube I'm sure it looks slightly better on PC.
I just don't know if I want to spent 39.99 on a copy.

I might want to play it again. There are a lot of hidden choices you won't see just playing it once.

My friend played it and he said the first part where the drunk dude is getting violent, he found a gun in a drawer and shot the dude.

One of the nice things about the game is that after you complete a sequence, you can usually go back and replay things differently without too much trouble. A PC with a SSD would make that process even quicker. From memory there are something like 4 large story branches, but there are probably 50 smaller things you can affect along the way.

Ok game camera is wonky I know for a fact 2038 won't be like this at all I might not even see that year because I'll be 63 then =)

I might have to play this again on PC but honestly it messed me up.

First play-through on PS4, I was doing great the whole time and made a bad call at the end and she died. I was fucked up after this.

Granted, you can go back and try different decisions, but it was too late for me. I guess the developers got what they wanted.
