Destiny 2

What I'm concerned about is this "codes reset every hour" or "every 19 hours" or some such. I'm patient. I want to get in there and do this ideally one time.

About to raid in around 30 min, had one guy bail on us, so we can definitely take a newbie from here if anyone's interested? Q-BZ

East coast here, raiding with west coast is not in my future.

Popped into D1 tonight for some pain and misery....which incidentally went very well. Got my 7 precision kills in a single match with Imprecation, so tomorrow I’ll pick up my First Curse.

Really the nostalgia has been kinda nice lately, hoping in and doing something familiar. It’s not hard to go back to other than missing class abilities. That’s a bit tougher.

12 hours of code cracking and so far we have an emblem. Nifty.

So. Trolled by Osiris. Possibly literally, maybe he’s just sending us through the paths he took to try and find Saint. “Damn Guardian makes it look so easy, I’ll show him what I had to go through.”

That's it? LOL. This is for what? Emblems and lore?

Now from what I understand there is 19 different codes or some such and they even change entirely either every hour or every day? I'm just staying firmly on the fence until I see this fully hashed out.

No, part 2 is still being figured out. The best total explanation for us normal people of what's been done and where they are is here. See the numbered section at the bottom and the tldr:

So my group decided on Garden of Salvation last night because the two most experienced players wanted to get more Divinities in the team. tl;dr, we completed all the puzzles for Divinity but couldn't finish the raid before bedtime. About 3.5 hours and about 4-5 attempts on the final encounter. Just had a weak link gathering motes who kept dying and causing a wipe.

Aaaaaaand you cannot just jump back in and get Divinity from the checkpointed spot. So we'd have to do it all over again on a later date.

This is crazy....one question instead of having to each obelisk once they are connected to the tower obelisk can you just get the symbols from that or is it something different?

I believe you can go to any, as it's the same on all of them each hour. However I personally haven't bothered with the obelisks and just used the pre-made lists on raid secrets.

^^ Those codes work. I just did the first one. I'm assuming once I've done one and gotten that lore it's "locked down" in case I have to quit the game for a while in between runs or some such?

Do you guys know if Corridors of Time are paywalled or can f2p players do this stuff too?

So if you die, you'll restart at the beginning and you can interact with the object to the left of the ramp to reset the instance. Then you can run another one.

As for the lore, yeah its a one time thing. I've been reading that the only part that matters for the continuation of this puzzle is the symbols at the end from the emblem code.

Once you have all the lore, that's it? Or no one knows anything past that yet?

Another dumb question: I had just fired the game up and saw that the first lore was all set and I unlocked it in Triumphs.

I went in and did the second code and it didn't work so I either have mixed up my signals or I'm missing a detail here: Do I have to do all 19 in sequence or I can come and go and pick up where I left off? (I'm double checking my symbols.)

Not sure, i haven't actually went and did the lore runs myself, only the emblem.. .which worked. So I guess I just answered your question.

Also, i bet you missed one. I had to do the emblem run 3 times before I got it right and was CERTAIN each time that I didn't miss anything. I guess it happens.

Everything's working. 10 down so far.

All done. Tedious and time-consuming but easy thanks to the hard work of all those others out there. Wow.

So if you die, you'll restart at the beginning...

I have to correct you here. I was doing the same thing before I figured this out. If you die, you go back to the end of the last symbol you completed. No need to reset.

If you look at the floor in front of the object you "reset", you will see a reflection showing the last symbol you completed. Move forward from there.

Got all the Lore + Emblem yesterday using the same guides you posted. I was going to post them as well, but it was WAAAY past my bedtime at that point, lol. Thanks for posting them.

I'm glad it's over. So there's a "part 2" to all that mess that people are working on or is that it for now? I'm afraid to even imagine what's next at the rate this went.

Yeah, i'm not worrying about it. Once its all over, there will be a nice video guide walking us through it.

Yup, that is me... and probably 97% of the player base.

Probably going to be a sweet blue drop coming out of this

Oh yes. :ROFLMAO:

The theory is that it is an Exotic Heavy. Here are the hints making people believe this:

Its going to be interesting to see where this goes.....this is a massive puzzle. The combinations are insane if that's what this is about.

Why's that?

(I'm a filthy casual)

It was a weapon that was disgustingly OP in D1 and basically a requirement for any difficult content and was so powerful it absolutely broke the game. Some feel it was a D1 weapon that should stay in D1. Some feel very strongly about this.

Bring that shit back. As underperforming as rockets are right now it would basically be a novelty.

I might give it a download if it ends up f2p. I'm still bitter for buying into the first game's hype.
Accidentally ended up on the first page of the thread and decided to read through some comments.

I have a morbid curiosity if you ever did try the game out either during that free period on battle net or with New Light.

I did not - it's currently sitting in my Steam download queue (paused) at 44.8 MB / 79.1 GB.

Edit: Just to be clear, it wasn't because I heard anything particularly bad about the game (quite the contrary), it's due to living in a town with very slow internet - so I've stuck to single player games. This should all change come Spring, once fiber internet is installed to the town. Then I will make my glorious return to multiplayer gaming... and learn how bad playing PVP games I've become.

Ahh yes, I too have known the pains of slow internet. And Destiny is nothing to sneeze at in terms of disk space requirements.

The experience seems to have taught Bungie a lesson, given how they have nerfed nearly everything in the game including Pinnacles. I hate grinding for something only to have it get nerfed, but I understand the need for it in any game that includes PvP. Games like Borderlands, you can make that stuff as outrageous as you want.

What really taught them a lesson was all the complaints that every new weapon dominated the meta, and I mean absolutely dominated. If you had the weapon and no one else did you were going to win. The destiny 1 Bungie response was always to nerf the weapon straight into obscurity and uselessness. And then just tune it back up sometime later.

They’ve sort of learned to be a bit less heavy handed basically.

I think this is the inherent issue with PvE games with PvP elements, Usually whats good for PvE doesn't translate well into PvP. It could either be a boss melter or a spitball gun. Then people bitch and the dynamics get changed and it screws up everything downstream.
