FAA drone rule seeks to mandate a remote ID system on every drone

Can they impose a retroactive recall to retro fit all the older active models in the wild that are technically out of compliant. This new mandate will have extremely limited impact if not and also potentially grandfather in bad drones

What company owns this Remote ID standard/tech? Looks like i found a new stock to invest in (and some politician a new source of bribes).
Argh on bump...Somehow this came up like it was my first page of threads.
 
Does this include the drone army flying over Colorado at night?
