Has anyone out there ever actually won a free monitor because you reviewed products on Microcenter?

To me it seems like a farce. Like they get you to think you could win but no one actually wins one anywhere because its just a marketing ploy to extract reviews from people.

How does one verify if they are not lying about this if no one confesses to winning a Monitor?

Sounds like the official rules link would answer this for you.

Believe it or not there are people who have the means and would sue microcenter to find out: and MC is a big enough company to not take that risk. There are people who make careers out of this sort of thing.

there are law offices that specifically focus on “prizes” and “contests” that regulate and facilitate these types of things.

if it were a no name website collecting emails it’d be different. It’s MC, there will be a winner.

but there will be many participants and your chances are slim. And so are the chances anyone here would win.

Well we have thousands of members who shop microcenter. Figured a higher chance exist at least one member has won.

Tbh if it weren't for the giveaway offer I wouldnt waste my time doing them.

LOL right back to you. The rules tell you about prize distribution like you asked.

No you still dont get the point... were not talking about distribution. I'm talking about honesty and actually verifying if they honestly honor the sweepstakes or just lie about it. I've read the rules.

There have been many shams out there. And microcenter has the capacity like anyone to sham.

Well, that's all you can do ;).

Unless one single member were to read this and be like oh snap, I won and here let me tell you.

This thread was not meant to be a battle of definitions, rules, and semantics. Just either you won or you didnt. All I'm asking.

I think you greatly underestimate how many people fill those out and participate just for a chance to win. Greatly.

Why would Microcenter risk legal consequences over a few hundred dollars worth of monitors, that they get for wholesale anyway? If they WERE scamming entrants, that would be pretty fuckin' dumb of them.

I dont know. There are hundreds of products that have zero reviews and many many high end products that only I have reviewed.

In not just idiotically making this thread. Of all the shit I reviewed many if which I'm still remain the only reviewer it just seems like maybe a few hundred reviews a month at most are made. Remember Microcenter is Not anywhere near the size and scope of Newegg much less they are a marginal fraction of Amazon. Theres only like 25 microcenter stores or something like that. How many reviews can honestly be made? I've reviewed at least 300 items from that business and not even an inkling of a chance of winning appears to happen. I dont care if I win, I could easily afford any monitor they sale and buy a second just to blow the cash but I was asking for a verifiable account of ine of the thousands of [H] members that may have won one. That was all. Just looking to see how real the sweepstake is.

It's not worth bickering over. I get what your saying though but I'm not underestimating. Im challenging the integrity of the business. Remember Enron was honest at one point, Facebook was honest at one point, Twitter, even Amazon was hammered with law breaking law suits and antitrust cases. It happens. Business lie and deceive all the time. Microcenter was caught raising prices on some items 200% just to mark them down 150% for black Friday. How is that honest?

A lot of these "contests" are very rigged. Don't ask me how I know this.
